I needed to wait some place while my Honda was being serviced and I choose Burger Theory. They are across the street. A Honda shuttle drove me over and I had breakfast. It was good. The eggs were sunnyside up as I requested. The yolks were a little too cooked, but they tasted good. The toast was nice and hot and crunchy like toast should be. The ham had a nice taste and complimented the meal well. I had water and coffee to drink. They had a nice packaged creamer and honey so my coffee tasted good. As I was waiting for the shuttle I was able score a table in a corner looking out to where the shuttle would show up when it came to pick me up so I could relax and enjoy my breakfast. The service was good, but they didn't fill my water on time. But they eventually did fill my water. I will return. I've heard their burgers are good! read more

I fed myself 4x times over a 3 day period at Burger Theory.... Two breakfasts and two dinners while staying in Idaho falls. The food is really good... not just for hotel food but seriously good. Their burgers are bomb, no joke. I had the classic one and loved it... twice. Their breakfast is also really good and much better than traditional hotel food. Also a standout was Makynna who was my server twice and she was great! Attentive, great service, super friendly even early morning when I was half asleep. Every time I come here (staying at the Holiday Inn) the food is worth it but the service. For the love of God, man. Focus on some customer service and quality training for your staff. There's rarely anyone at the front so clients that want to be seated are not acknowledged in a timely manner. Best bet is to go straight to the bar and order to go. You will have tons of time to have a drink while you wait. At NO time should all employees be in the back with NO ONE in the front of house. This happens a LOT here. I have read the reviews and was skeptical of trying this but I just wanted to get a beer and have a good burger with some good company and wow did they deliver, I would say the wait wasn't too bad but coming here at 8pm on a Saturday no more than 10 min did I waifor someone to come and ask if there was anything we needed! Took some suggestions the shrimp was FANTASTIC burgers DELICIOUS and might add fries AMAZING. I think places deserve a second chance and this restaurant is it. Took my wife and I out on a date day. And decided I wanted to check out this restaurant ever since hearing of his new it is to the area. So I've decided that we should check it out. We started with spicy shrimp as a starter. Was amazing in fact after we completed it, I had to check to see if we had at less one left. Also the need to eat when you come in and check is the ultimate siracha burger check it out if you can't decide. Also the sweet potatoes fries is a perfect match for this burger. One thing I would improve on us drink coasters, our table was beginning to become wet due to cup sweat from our drinks. Overall great service and amazing staff. Best crispy onion rings in town. The burgers are awesome as are the shrimp appetizer, get two if you're taking you sweetheart. The service was very friendly and it one of those atmospheres where you feel like you've known them for years. My wife and I really enjoyed our waitresses. This rating is for the breakfast and customer service only. I have not tried the burgers yet so I cannot form a review on them. When I walked in, it took a couple minutes for them to come to the hosting station. I ordered it to go and let's just say this was not a quick experience. I looked at the menu for a couple of minutes and then was ready for my order to be taken despite there being only a few customers it took ages for my host to return. When I was ordering the host did not speak up I had a hard time understanding what was being said. The atmosphere of burger theory was nice. There was some nice decor. The cleanliness seemed mediocre. The food itself tasted pretty good. I ordered the malted waffles. They were tasty and warm. They weren't overcooked. They were served with some fresh fruit on the top and the fruit was not quality. It was way too ripe, and the presentation of the food was not well. Idaho says people are supposed to wear masks. Signs are in the restaurant that say IHG cares about customers and staff are wearing PPE to protect us. The hostess/ manager (?) was not wearing a mask. We were surprised that the restaurant is in the same building as the holiday inn but the entrance was separate which was nice so we decided to give it a try. The servers could use some training. Our older female server got our daughters order wrong so the rest of us were done eating by the time her food finally came out. The server did not offer to take it off the bill. Our burger was delicious and the shrimp appetizer was ok but had enough sauce for two orders. The Mac and cheese was probably just Kraft box macaroni and cheese which was disappointing and cold. I don't generally leave negative reviews, but this place is egregious. I stay at the Holiday Inn often for business, and my experience is always the same. I've had breakfast here 8 or 10 times as a meal voucher is included with my hotel stay, and the place is conveniently located next to the lobby. The wait is always, without exception, far longer than is reasonable, even with short staff. This morning I waited nearly 25 minutes for a simple omelette with an English muffin and coffee. The service is unfriendly, bordering on hostile, every time. This morning my food, which was to-go, was carried out sideways in its bag and just sort of carelessly tossed down onto the bar in front of me. I get that it's a morning shift, but that's no excuse for the poor and slow service. Lastly, the food is far too pedestrian and mediocre to justify the wait times. My omelette was runny in places and under-salted. The English muffin I ordered was served as a single slice of white toast. The meatless burrito I ordered last time was served with bacon. The coffee is weak. Given that this has been my experience every time I've eaten here, I feel that I've given them enough chances. I'm going to stop getting the breakfast voucher with my stay and start getting my breakfast somewhere else. read more

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn where this restaurant is located, and received a voucher for breakfast with my stay. The breakfast was really yummy. The service however, was horrible. We were one of three occupied tables in the entire restaurant, and still waited for almost an hour before food appeared at our table after ordering. Had my breakfast not been free with my stay, and had I not had a granola bar in my purse to keep me from losing it completely, I would have walked out. I'm not sure what the issue was, or why it took so long, but a nearly hour wait between ordering and getting your meal seems a little insane to me, especially considering they weren't at all busy. Don't come here for breakfast... just don't. No breakfast is worth waiting that long for. read more
