I did make the mistake of calling and asking for good seating since we had never been there before. They then sat us by the bathroom and our poor server was waiting on the outside tables and us by the bathroom. My bad..but still good service and the food....mmm. We ordered the garlic sautéed shrimp and baked Brie. Put those two things on the little toasties and AMAZING! You wouldn't think but it was so good. You get a homemade roll and a great salad with your dinner. I had a pan seared ribeye and the hubs ordered butternut squash. We shared both. It's the perfect blend ribeye with the squash. Must try! The main issue is that the food takes way too long to come out. I do not recommend coming with a medium or large party or eating outside during dinner. The food was good, but it was not worth the experience. If we knew it would take so long we would have gone somewhere else. The outside seating is comprised of patio tables and chairs lining the exterior of the restaurant. It was nice at first, but there's a bee that likes to fly around which even the server was familiar with. We did outdoor seating and getting there at sunset we were sitting there in the dark with barely any light by the time our food arrived (almost two hours to get all our food for a party of four - 4 entrees and 2 appetizers total). The service was friendly but it was awkward seeing some people getting served even when they were seated after us. I loved the chicken wellington and would say that is the most unique dish at their restaurant. The food is overall good quality but this restaurant is probably better catered for pairs who are looking to celebrate a special event together. My two sisters and I had reservations for 7:30 p.m. Once we were seated, our server took great care of us. We started with the shrimp appetizer, which we loved--the flavors were spot on, and the texture was perfect. The blackberry mojito was refreshing and well-balanced. She was friendly, courteous and professional. She knew the menu well and took the time to answer questions. Most importantly, she appeared happy to be there and appreciative of our patronage. Went for the crème brûlée, but stayed for the warm welcome and delicious food. I was in town for a short trip and decided to try this place because it has one of my favorite desserts and had good reviews. I didn't have a reservation, but the house manager was incredibly accommodating and found a place for me. Pros and cons of what I had: - Pear and Cashew Salad: Great flavor and I gobbled it up. If I had to knit-pick, I'd say the mixed greens needed to be spun dry a bit more before assembling, but it was very good. - Flat Iron Steak w/Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Mixed Greens: So good. I opted to leave out the mushrooms, but the flavor of the sauce was still delicious and didn't overpower the steak. You even had seared bits of steak on a few pieces...yum. Delicious all around. - Crème Brûlée: Very good flavor, as I like mine a bit more rich than fully of vanilla bean. The only con would be it was not cooked through and had not set up all the way. The top was perfectly seared, though, with a very nice texture and not like some places that leave what is seemingly stained glass on top. All in all I had a great meal and will definitely recommend. We stopped by on our way to Yellowstone and I'm so glad we did. I had prosciutto wrapped Tiger Shrimp with a Crab sauce served over Orzo. My husband had a Ribeye Steak as big as his plate. The ambience is beautiful, serene and calm. The service impeccable. The food was so fresh and so delicious. My husband's French Onion Soup was the best I've ever tasted. I should have gotten it. The Aldente' seasoned vegetables were so fresh. We met the owner and she said her husband is the Chef. They make a great team. If you find yourself in Idaho Falls stop in. Never had that told to me ever in my life. But it was a weekend night. Tiny salads as your sides. Rolls were just ok. French onion soup was good. Entrees were quite tasty. Nothing amazing about the mashed potatoes. Veggies side was small. Black and blue filet was good. Be aware it's spicy. Lamb was good too. Our table for 5 was a big table that could hold 8. Family felt too far away. Great servers. Very attentive. Would definitely return. Only weird thing was the snow blower in the corner near our table. Maybe not ideal inside a restaurant. This restaurant faces the Snake River, by the falls. It is a bit on the upscale side. The dinners are prepared with sauces and vegetables to match the sauce and meat/chicken/fish. 3 dining rooms. Comfortable chairs. Great service. Pricier than average, but in line with the quality. Interesting mix of cocktails and huge wine list. Meat and fish prepared very well. Relying on my Yelp! Peeps for a place to eat in Idaho Falls. This charming little spot was a great find! Drewe was attentive and quick to notice that the Copper Rill lemonade I ordered was a little strong (I did order a double) and brought me a small glass of lemonade to dilute it. Yummy! Crab cake appetizers were great. My husband loved his Italian Sausage pasta. My Rosemary chicken salad was crisp and tasty. In looking for a nice restaurant for an anniversary meal, I saw the reviews, and decided to give it a try. The reviewers are right. Our server MacKenzie, was very attentive, as were the other servers I saw. I had the bone in pork ribeye, which was huge and was cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the haddock with crab topping. I'm going to be brutally honest in my review here. Party of 2, reservation for 7:30, Thursday evening. We arrived at 7:15 and were seated immediately. So far so good. A few minutes go by & our server came out to see us. We placed an order for wine. She returned with wine & took our order for appetizer & main course at 7:18. About 10 minutes later our crab cakes arrived & were delicious. Another 15 minutes or so our salads arrived, also delicious. We were happy. We talked, enjoyed our wine. We talked some more, and some more. Still no main course. Our server said it was coming. After another 15 minutes, I went inside to tell the manager about our missing entree. She said it was normal to take an hour to have the main course served. She said there was a huge party they were dealing with. She did a great job with excuses. It was now 8:30, almost 45 minutes since we'd placed our order. Finally at 8:45,voila our steak came. It was hot & cooked as requested. Hallelujah! We were happy to finally get it. Clearly our entree order wasn't given to the kitchen. Our server came by as did the manager to ask if all was ok. I replied that I was happy to finally have our entree. We immediately asked for our check. When it came there was no apology for the horribly slow service only an explanation that it was common for meals to take 90 minutes to be served. No adjustment on the bill either. Let's just say this place is very highly overrated. We will never go back & I'll be sure to let others know to go elsewhere. read more

First time trying this tonight. Glad we did. The setting is much more formal and elegant than other places in town. Absolutely felt at home and valued as a guest while dining. Table side etiquette and presentation by the waiter was spot on. Food was incredible. Felt like we were dining in genuine 3 star high end establishment if you go by the official Michelin standard or 5 star for us every day folks.Owner came out after our meal and personally made sure we were having a good dining experience and enjoyed our food. Omigosh the handmade butternut squash ravioli has to be the best we have ever had. Both of us ordered the ravioli. The house salad was fantastic and came with a tasty herb roll. We also ordered the bruschetta appetizer which was delicious. We really appreciated that the service was very proper, especially in not bringing the next course before we were done eating the previous course! We were not rushed through our meal. We received our appetizer and once we were done with it, we received our salad with its roll. As we finished our salad, our waitress checked to make sure we didn't need any additional silverware before the entrée was brought to us. Throughout our meal our waitress was attentive and made sure our water glasses and tea glasses were full. A Johnson Wales chef in Idaho Falls? (Like, huh?) Traveling through on our annual visit to friends further north and Idaho Falls was a good stopping point. Searching for "restaurants " near Marriott led us to narrowing the field quite a bit, but only one place stood out: Copper Rill. Whenever one can find a culinary diamond in the midst of well cubic zirconia, go. Try something fully crafted by the chef. Every bite was above par. Brie Butternut squash ravioli Ribeye - cooked rare + French onion soup Creme Brule Wine Cocktail Excellent service by Drew who was personal, attentive, and not intrusive. Ambiance was comfortable, (not gaudy or glitzy for a place where reservations are suggested.) And, outdoor dining was an option. Monday night and every table was booked - except for one. Do yourself a flavor favor: make reservations and get to Copper Rill. My only disappointment: as a food photographer, I would have loved to properly photograph the dishes here. I got the Bone in Pork Rib Eye and my husband got the Flat Iron Steak both were amazing and cooked to perfection. The sauces on both were phenomenal.
