I did not have any food however everything I saw looked and smelled fantastic. I stopped in for some cocktails and was welcomed comfortably by Barr the server at the bar! He was working his tail off but had enough time to take care of me as well. This place is a pretty nice mid scale Steakhouse. I dig the vibe and the decor.

Wow, my steak was absolutely delicious. Right when we entered, the staff was welcoming, and our server was fantastic. The atmosphere makes it feel like a nice high-end experience. I got the baseball cut top sirloin and I loved the seasoning on the outside of the steak. It tasted really good. I got a baked potato for a side, which was really good, but I think next time I'll try the au gratin potatoes or something else. The salad seemed average, but that's OK. They asked if we were celebrating anything special, which I said we were and then they never did anything so I'm not sure why they asked. I would absolutely love to come back here the next time I'm in town.

BBQ Shrimp over Idaho mashed potatoes

While walking the falls trail system and visiting the lanterns, I saw several interesting places for dinner, and this one called to me. I sat at a table with a view of the patio and the bar. Fresh bright upscale decor and furnishings. Staff was efficient and thankfully refilling my water a lot! I was thirsty after my walk. I enjoyed a dirty blue cheese stuffed olive martini, while perusing the menu. Nice selection of proteins, with a Louisiana spice influence. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms served with bread to soak up all the cheesy yummy ness. My entree was BBQ giant shrimp over Idaho mashed potatoes, slso wonderful. Desert was crème brûlée , barbecue shrimp over Idaho mashed potatoes, and cream brûlée. Good thing I took that long walk around the falls, otherwise I would have felt guilty. Not really. Thanks for making my first night in Idaho Falls absolutely deliscious!

Lunch was reasonably priced being form sf. My husband got the steak meal for lunch under $18. The baker was so big and good I liked the black foil. I got the salad and soup deal and it was &12. Everyone on a weekday at this restaurant in the summer was eating outside. Food was good they took card and had a full bar with local beers on tap. Server was attentive and I got to bring my dog to sit outside. We paid for parking and we could see our car from the restaurant.

The steak was cooked beautifully with a nice crust and juicy center. It had a great beefy flavor that didn't need much seasoning. The side of veggies was fresh and lightly seasoned which balanced the richness of the meat. Our server was kind and attentive. The space was quiet and felt cozy for a nice dinner.

The cheese curds are good but calamari fries are not anything more than a handful of frozen calamari with cocktail sauce. For dinner we ordered the steak and coconut shrimp medium cook with man n cheese and asparagus. I'm not happy much. The coconut shrimp was great but the steak was terrible. It was tough and over cooked. Seared with a hard grill mark of burned taste. The man n cheese taste like they boiled it in broccoli water... or it was next to some but idk. The asparagus was good but hung over and was touching the tray and table when placed on the table so not sure what else it was touching in the kitchen. All in all $140 later I am not happy at all. Our poor waitress was unsure if we were going to say something about another thing so she was hesitant to come back. One Dr Pepper for my whole meal. Yes we still tipped her $21 dollars and know the drinks and food wasn't her fault.

WHAT HAPPENED: When they're busy, they typically don't have enough servers on. This was something we had already been warned about, and got to witness it first hand. Also, without informing us, they charge for soda refills! Seems as if the server was padding the check, because we had three young kids with us, and they drink soda. I had a couple of beers that I expected to be charged for, but my other half's coffee refills? I mean come on. The place is overly priced to begin with, the food was not fantastic. They were riding on their legacy name. Surviving by tourist seasons of the Innocent unsuspecting. I only gave two stars because I can't say the food was bad, I can only say that the experience was not worth the bill. To be fair, I did see the prices before we ordered and did not hesitate. However, those prices raised my expectations.

Everyone was a big fan of the restaurant and had nothing but great things to say and recommend. We had the Noodle Salad and it was the best of that type of salad that we have ever had. Others praised the steaks and prime rib, which we plan on trying tonight (yup, we're going back right away). It's the perfect spot for hearty, traditional Midwestern comfort food. After all, how can you visit Potato Country without enjoying at least one perfectly baked potato? A little fun (and mostly useless) fact: Potatoes are typically harvested once a year in the fall and stored in underground bunkers. The ones you usually buy in stores are often nearly a year old. And if a potato starts to sprout? It simply becomes part of the next season's crop. The moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into a time machine. The interior is warm and cozy, with darker tones, rich red accents, wood-paneled walls, and glass partitions. There's even a mud room and a coat rack ready for those chilly Idaho winter nights. We were greeted and seated almost immediately. Our server introduced herself right away and took our drink orders with a smile. I went with the Ultimate Philly--tender, well-done strips of their famous prime rib, grilled onions and peppers, all smothered in a rich cheese sauce. It came with a side of au jus for dipping and your choice of side. I couldn't resist ordering the Jaker's Baker, a massive Idaho potato loaded with all the toppings. The prime rib was flavorful and juicy, and the baked potato was hearty and satisfying--the ultimate classic meat-and-potatoes meal. When I travel, I love experiencing local flavor, and Jakers delivers exactly that.

April 2026 Idaho Falls, Idaho…read more I was surprised to see this place is attached to a hotel when I drove up. Typically I do not eat at restaurants that are attached to a hotel. However, Yelp told me it was a 4.3 star place to eat. I asked if they had any nonalcoholic beers. The waiter brings me a can of beer to show me what it is. When I tell him that I will have it. He says well I'll just take it back and put it in a glass. So they bring me a 16 ounce glass with the beer poured in and it only filled 12 ounces. I ordered the Nacho Mama's Dip. It is a chicken nacho dip. The waiter told me it was a large portion so I am eating that just as my meal. My husband ordered the fish and chips. When you walk in the front door, the bar is right there. Pretty large bar for one to sit and enjoy a drink or a meal. To the right our booths and high tables that line the wall as well as some booths in the middle of the restaurant that make you feel like you are sitting under a gazebo. There are tables and booths on the far wall as well. The tables are cut to appear like a live edge wood top table. The booths sit too low and the table sits high. Even my husband who is 6'2 felt an imbalance with the table to chair. My nachos come out and the cheese sauce is dripping off the side of the dish. It is an absolute mess. The nacho chips are off to the side. The toppings consist of black olives and onions with four pieces of diced tomatoes. Accompanied by a side plastic dish is salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. The guacamole is definitely not homemade. My biggest complaint is the cheese sauce is definitely from a can. The cheese that they did put on the nachos was a slice of cheese that was not even melted. See picture. Reminds me that I am eating in a restaurant attached to a hotel. There are no beans. The chicken is mixed in with the cheese sauce. And it is sparingly there. This dish is absolutely disgusting! The fish and chips were terrible. They're served in a basket with four pieces of fish and they sit upon fresh cut fries. The fish was not good. The batter has a odd taste. Perhaps the oil it is fried in? I think I would've been better off going to Culver's and having their fish platter. Although my beYr was in a can, it was very cold. It was truly the best part of my meal. I am so disappointed that yelp led me to this place. This is my warning to others. Stay away. We had two completely different meals and neither of them were good.
