My guest ordered what they thought was a red wine and he brought out a white, which wasn't actually what she asks for. We ordered another bottle of red and the "gentleman" came back and rudely told us they opened the other bottle of wine for us, so we needed to keep it. I explained we did not order or want white wine but he was insistent and we ended up taking the bottle with us, even though he was in the wrong, because we were hungry and didn't want to ruin our meal. The situation was unfortunate, but had he been polite, it would have been fine. He behaved like a tantruming child rather than an employee of an upscale restaurant. All of the food was too salty, as though to compensate for the lack of flavor. The brussel sprouts were very greasy and the bordelaise that came with my filet was thin and had little flavor. The filet itself was tough and medium rather than the medium rare I ordered. There were also a couple of small fruit flies around the table after the food came out, which made me question the cleanliness of the entire place.

The food is great but the company is better.

Seriously, it's spacious, filled with mirrors & downright exquisite. It has to be in the top 10 nicest ladies rooms in NYC, if not the top 5. It is on par with the ladies room at the Plaza hotel (another very nice, spacious one). The front desk people are also polite & helpful. They have never given me problems or made me feel like an intruder. Goes for all the staff, really. Lastly, the 5th floor rehearsal space which is only for members & guests is wonderful. If you know a Lambs member, that person should definitely consider using the rehearsal space for rehearsals since there's pianos as well as lots of space to practice your acting, dance routine, etc.

The space has an inviting, lounge-style atmosphere with elegant décor that works well for casual dinners and events like birthdays or small celebrations. The interior gives off a comfortable vibe, and it's clear the place aims to be a spot where people can unwind, eat, and enjoy themselves. The menu features a variety of flavorful dishes, including halal options, and there's something on the menu for different tastes. Some visitors have had delicious meals and enjoyed the presentation, which shows the kitchen tries to deliver quality food. That said, experiences here can vary. Some guests have had trouble communicating with staff after booking events, and there are reports of last-minute changes or difficulties resolving issues -- so if you're planning something big, it may be worth confirming details ahead of time. Overall, Canopy Lounge is a solid choice for a relaxed dinner or a small gathering with friends or family if you're in the area and want a nice setting and good food. Just be mindful to check details for reservations or events in advance.

He's a native New Yorker from Brooklyn, so it's always an adventure when we visit. We experienced a magnificent meal atop the Marriott Marquis Times Square Hotel - in the revolving restaurant, The View! From start to finish, the ambiance, the live piano music, the wait staff - the food - created a memorable night I shall cherish always! There were so many delectable items on the menu, it was hard to decide. We both chose the double-cut American Lamb Chops, flavorful and tender. We paired it with the smooth, elegant and red fruity flavors of the Pinot Noir. The hubby also had the Caesar salad, grilled broccoli and pomme puree. I ordered the creamed spinach and button mushrooms. DELICIOUS!!! The 360-degree view of the New York skyline at night is indescribable! A complete revolution takes about an hour. It was so breathtaking and serene, with the sounds of soft piano playing, muffled conversations, tinkling glasses and ebb and flow of laughter - we were there for two and half revolutions! It was easy to lose track of time - and we never felt rushed! We shall return! I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. Because the 'vibe' as the young people say, is right - and will promote only the most positive outcomes for whatever you have planned! *Special thanks to the wait staff for attending to us with such kindness and generousity. I regret that I have forgotten the names ( should have written them down) - a young man and a young lady - the night of March 21. They were top tier!
