It was decorated nicely with paintings and rare editions of books contained in a small library used also as a conference room. I was there for a Meet and Greet" Cinco Del Mayo night to consider becoming a member. The members were friendly. However, there was no restaurant on the premises. They do cater some of their events up to about 42 people. I was told you can bring your own food in if you desire to. Also, they had a beautiful bar but no liquor license or bartender. The policy was bring your own bottle and use the glassware provided and be responsible for washing whatever used which I feel creates unsanitary conditions in this day and age of viruses going around. Also, there was no check room and attendant to secure your coat (in cool and inclement weather) or valuables. There wasn't any staff present only the members. If accepted as a member after filing an application and going through a formal interview your spouse wasn't able to use your benefits. He or she would be treated as an ordinary guest. The dues are reasonable and there is an initiation fee. There were only a few young members there and mostly single senior citizens filled the rooms. I did not see any couples present. 2 small phone booths were provided to use your phone so the other members would not be disturbed. There is a small area with a beautiful pool table there for members to shoot. There is no receptionist or security upon entrance. A member would have a fob or phone app to gain entrance into the building and take the elevator to the third floor. There are weekly events scheduled, free and paid. I went for the membership interview and was denied membership. Maybe it was because I spoke my mind and asked some concerning questions since I have been a member of 2 other social clubs that offered much more to their members and their partners.

The food is great but the company is better.

It is located in college point, which to be quite frank isn't convenient for me personally, but I would make the trek if need be because it really is good and the hospitality can't be beat. I got to meet the owner Mary and her relative Maria who are both so sweet and down to earth- in simplest terms, good vibes only. For cocktails, I got 2 Bees Knees & they were strong & tasty, what's not to love? For food, I got the crab cakes & the boulet & johnny cakes. If I had to pick a favorite, it would easily be the crab cakes but both were tasty. Also, the decor of this place is so cute & unique. If I ever needed to host an event, I would come here. All in all, I wish Mary the best success as she's a great person & has a lovely establishment. If you ever find yourself in the area, do stop by- you won't be disappointed.

And I decided to try their Haitian steak patties. The food was just okay, their sauce overpowered the flavor of the rice. Their griot even with the pickliz on top was on the sweet side. And the steak patties were nothing to write home about. Not very flavorful and the pastry despite not being flaky it was just okay. I had really high hopes for this place. Prior I was considering going there for food and drinks especially with Haiti heading to the World Cuo but this average food at best. Prices weren't too bad as I paid a little over $25.

But that was it, they acknowledged at check in and then nothing ever happened. It wasn't really that I was expecting something but it was just so strange to ask whose birthday it was for the reservation and then that was it. Anyways moving on. I do think their service was top notch. Extremely attentive and overall the staff were just friendly and helpful. The complimentary sweet potato rolls were delicious. So soft and fluffy, almost like milk bread. They even offered us a second serving of the sweet potato rolls. For the appetizer, we both the beef carpaccio. I thought it was delicious. It went well with the arugula. Paired with the complimentary sweet potato rolls, it was perfect! For the main course, we tried the pork cutlet and the beef sandwich. Both are quite filling, personally I enjoyed the beef sandwich more. It was hearty with a generous amount of beef and cheese and came with a dipping sauce. The pork cutlet wasn't too memorable. The dessert was so disappointing. We ordered the lemon pudding cake and the peach upside down cake. Both were not too impressive to me both presentation and taste wise. The lemon pudding was especially disappointing, it tasted quite artificial with sugar granules in each bite. It felt so grainy. The peach upside down cake was slightly better but still had a grainy texture. The cake was also on the drier side. At the end they also gave a complimentary piece of dark chocolate with freeze dried strawberries. The overall ambiance is nice, it's a nice place to have a lunch and have a conversation.

Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and patient, which really helped us relax and enjoy the evening. The food was outstanding. I had the whole grilled fish with roasted potatoes and vegetables, and it was cooked perfectly--crispy skin, tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every part of the meal was fresh and delicious. Great food, exceptional service, and a family-friendly atmosphere made this a memorable dinner. We'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic meal with top-notch hospitality.

First of all, I have to say this was one of the best Caesar salads I have had. First of all, very good quality cheese, fresh lettuce, light o. The dressing and anchovies--not your bad ones served everywhere these days. We tried the fish and the lobster. The Lobster was very flavorful with the chili flakes and its light sauce. For the price, there could have been more lobster meat, and it was difficult to get all the meat out. Owner and Chef came by each table checking on if we like the food and service--nice touch! The restaurant is located in one of the River towns.
