They explained the procedures clearly and were patient with my questions. The MRI schedule was running a little behind so I was treated to extra warm blankets while I waited. Turns out, MRI's aren't that bad. Had my eyes closed so I didn't mind the tight space. The random banging is only slightly annoying. I couldn't hear the music through the headphones, so I would request it to be louder next time. The IV needle was the worst part. Once they removed it, I was fine, and was on my way. There's plenty of parking, and a gift shop if you need basic things.

The staff has always processed us through rather quickly. If some people are experiencing a long wait time, it may be because the doctors take their time with patients. An emergency appointment can cut into their schedule and back up appointments. People have to expect that occasional problem and realize that they would also want the doctor to take the time if they were to experience such an emergency unscheduled appointment.

Everything from start to finish went fine, and I was very happy with the level of service I received from this facility. In the week leading up to my surgery, I received several calls from both Englewood ENT and the Surgery Center to ensure everything was set for my procedure - from paperwork to schedule changes and beyond. I prefer more information than less, so I was happy to receive even a quick phone call or text to update me on even the slightest change. The hardest part about this center is the location - it's really tucked in to a bizarre neighborhood in Fort Lee. However, the location sent me a direct pin to the front door which really helped. (When looking it up on Google Maps, the ETA was slightly different. The listed location on Google Maps is not as accurate at the pin they provide, so use the location that the text message sends out.) I was also grateful for the message about the parking they sent beforehand - the place is undergoing construction and they gave us a head's up about how it may be different to find parking. Obviously, for a surgical procedure, one can expect to be there early to make sure everything runs smoothly. I arrived 90 minutes before my scheduled time (7:30am). The gentleman at the front desk was kind and informative. You basically submit everything before you go, so you only need to sign some paperwork before you go in. The waiting room is also very chill and comfortable, with a TV screen that gives you up-to-date patient information so your guest can know what's going on. Upon entering pre-opt, every person was lovely, kind, and informative. Shout out to Elmer who took my pre-opt notes while I was getting ready! I am a talker (especially when I'm nervous) and the nurses were very happy to engage in conversation with me. While I was finished and waiting to wake up from anesthesia, the Center and doctor called my dad to let them know how I was doing. Upon waking, AJ took care of me - she's awesome! I was out and ready by 11am. I really could not have asked for a better experience!

I discovered I needed to allow lots of time for traffic, especially in the morning. They called me pre-op to get all the necessary information and answered all my questions about my transportation. I was having local anesthesia, so I was able to drive myself home. When I arrived I was greeted and made comfortable in the waiting room. It is very clean! Pre op nurse Elmer did everything correct. Thank you to Josephine, RN who visited me in pre-op. It truly helps when you are a little nervous to have kind and considerate people speaking to you! They informed me of exactly what would happen. Or Nurses Cristina and Karen and Dr. Ekstein spoke with me pre op and during procedure so I knew exactly what was going on. Everything went according to plan. My recovery room nurse Lorraine gave me written and verbal instruction, offered nourishment and assistance, answered all my questions and saw me safely out of the building. I was very impressed with the center, the staff, the kindness and professionalism. I am a nurse and it's pretty hard to please us! A+ in every way.

They gave me ample text notice prior to my appointment what my copay would be and to bring a form of payment. From check in to pre op prep, and physically going into the OR all the staff were extremely pleasant. My pre op nurse Beverly was awesome. She was patient and walked me through the whole process as I was nervous for this was my first colonoscopy. My anesthesiologist was great too and I was in and out from 730am and done in recovery by 1030am. The care was great and when the nurse called the following day to check up on me she took the time to listen to my symptoms and worries and I did not feel rushed at all.

Unfortunately, it has been 2 weeks and the referrals department refuses to submit the required forms for my insurance's prior authorization. I have gone back and forth with the office, and no one I speak to can provide an answer as to why they won't submit the forms. I was initially told when I called the office that my MRI had been authorized and I could go ahead with scheduling. I scheduled and my husband took the day off to bring me for the scan, but then my insurance told me I was NOT actually approved. I called the office again and I was told yes, the pre-auth process had not even started. I clarified with the referrals department to make sure there was nothing further they needed from me. The woman I spoke to rudely told me that it hadn't been done because she assumed I'd be using Pascack Valley for the scan (even though I had already confirmed with Pascack Valley I was going elsewhere, and was told I could schedule anywhere.) I checked if there was anything else she needed to submit the forms, and she said no and confirmed she'd submit it "now." Days later I call Bergen Medical again, and am told that the pre-auth process STILL has not begun. I am promised to get a call back about this in 2 business days to explain why I am being given the runaround. So of course two business days plus a weekend go by, I call Bergen Medical back, and yet again no one can help me. The forms have STILL not been submitted, despite the multiple calls and confirmation from the referrals department that it had been submitted the week prior. I don't know what else I'm supposed to do when my doctor has ordered a test and his staff won't submit the forms. I am genuinely baffled.

She went into the OR roughly at 11, and stayed there until about 5pm, for a routine that should have took less than an hour. Even the other family of patients were concerned for her taking so long. Afterward, she informed me that they made her change clothes and seemingly forgot she was sitting there. The follow-up visits at the PDS Medical Management certain didn't fair much better. Each time I bring my mother there, it is always a massive wait. Everyone there is always irritated about this. Just last week, I brought my mother in for a scheduled appointment. After waiting nearly 2 hours, I got up and asked when she would be seen, it is then I was informed there was a mistake, and her appointment is actually next week. All in all, each time I bring my mother here, there is a long wait. Patients are all very angry and sometimes become verbally combative over their wait time. Each time a patient approaches the desk, they're told that they are next. As I began writing this, my mother got called in, and the woman sitting next to me, who was already seated by the time we got here, became upset. She asked when she would be seen, and was told she is next. She just told me she was recommended this location by her lawyer and just walked out on the phone with her lawyer. Last week, when I came in, two people became belligerent after waiting so long. To me, it seems as though there is little to no organization, and very little customer service for non-spanish speaking patients.
