The doctors are good, but the office staff has made it nearly impossible to access proper care…read more My doctor at Bergen Medical ordered an MRI and told me to see him again to review it in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, it has been 2 weeks and the referrals department refuses to submit the required forms for my insurance's prior authorization. I have gone back and forth with the office, and no one I speak to can provide an answer as to why they won't submit the forms. I was initially told when I called the office that my MRI had been authorized and I could go ahead with scheduling. I scheduled and my husband took the day off to bring me for the scan, but then my insurance told me I was NOT actually approved. I called the office again and I was told yes, the pre-auth process had not even started. I clarified with the referrals department to make sure there was nothing further they needed from me. The woman I spoke to rudely told me that it hadn't been done because she assumed I'd be using Pascack Valley for the scan (even though I had already confirmed with Pascack Valley I was going elsewhere, and was told I could schedule anywhere.) I checked if there was anything else she needed to submit the forms, and she said no and confirmed she'd submit it "now." Days later I call Bergen Medical again, and am told that the pre-auth process STILL has not begun. I am promised to get a call back about this in 2 business days to explain why I am being given the runaround. So of course two business days plus a weekend go by, I call Bergen Medical back, and yet again no one can help me. The forms have STILL not been submitted, despite the multiple calls and confirmation from the referrals department that it had been submitted the week prior. I don't know what else I'm supposed to do when my doctor has ordered a test and his staff won't submit the forms. I am genuinely baffled.

The location is easy to get to with lots of parking. I only took one star off because every time I come, the phlebotomist does a horrible blood draw that bruises up my arm for a week! This is the third draw I've had with the same annoying result. I really just wish he would do a better job so I don't look like I got beat up going to the doctor.

The office was clean but appointment time did not seem to matter. When we left I specifically asked about the prescription and was told it would be sent in. I live an hour plus away and went to the pharmacy only to find out there was no prescription sent. I then called back to the office and asked about the prescription. I was put on hold for 12+ minutes then I was put into a voicemail. I never received a call back but eventually the pharmacy did share that the prescription had been received. Very disappointed especially when the place came recommended.

In the midst of wrapping Christmas gifts, I sliced my finger really bad, it was very painful and I could not stop the bleeding. I called the Urgent Care first and the receptionist told me to come right down. The staff was so patient and wonderful , getting me through this painful incident. I was able to see Dr. Lauren again, who was able to take care of my injury, with much care too. She has the patience of a Saint. Thank you ALL for being there again and for being so patient with someone that has a Dr. / needle phobia. Hope you all enjoy the holidays safely and have a Happy, Healthy New Year !

This was my first time at these Summit Health medical offices. The building is right off of Rt. 208 W. It's just past the Fair Lawn Promenade. There is ample parking on the property. Heads up, the building is HUGE but there's clear signage and multiple Summit Health Directories posted. Note: Most of the 17-17 building houses Summit Health medical offices, but there is a sprinkling of non-Summit businesses also there (like sports medicine and accountants). My lasting impression of the facilities - It's a very nice building, and if I need to get medical exams and labs done, I'd like to come here. Overall I had a very positive experience with Ophthalmology. -- The check-in process was smooth, and everyone I interacted with was professional and friendly - registration, techs, and the doctor. -- The ophthalmic technician who performed my first set of tests before the doctor collected me from the registration area, and took me to a couple of exam rooms where the equipment was housed. She was fantastic with directing me and explaining what was happening. --The doctor who I saw was great, explaining to me what he saw/assessed and next steps after the exam. Honestly, I've already booked next year's exam knowing I want to continue with them... Summit Health Ophthalmology Fair Lawn - highly recommended!

I came to see Dr. Cappadonna based on the great recommendations I got and his exceptional professional history. Particularly that he is a sports orthopedist and surgeon so he would be good with minimal invasive treatment if any, and have a focus on getting back to optimum mobility. I found out that I do have arthritis bone on bone, and he was very against doing even shots at this point and suggested I do physical therapy. Oh my goodness was he right! After only about three weeks of physical therapy, I feel like a brand new person. My knee, which was killing me all the time is that virtually no pain. I'm moving around better than ever and I feel great. I went for my follow up today and he told me to keep up the work at the gym which I do anyway, I could stop physical therapy, take the anti-inflammatory really only when I need it (which is rarely), and if it continues to get worse and maybe five or six years, will consider whether I need something invasive, but until then the worst, he is going to consider his shots. Long story short, he is very conservative very smart and very effective. He also happens to be an incredibly nice guy who spends as much time with you as needed. And bonus? This practice is unbelievably great at getting you in and out not only at your scheduled appointment time, but even early if you should get there early. Because I had such a great experience. Here I went to go see another doctor in their practice for my wrist, and I receive the same level of care and professionalism. A really phenomenal practice group.
