I have never been to this location of the lounges before. I spent many hours here on an extended layover and I couldn't have been more comfortable during this time. The food was excellent (I especially liked the cilantro chicken). There were many different comfortable seating options. I will say that this location was very busy and the staff noted that they sometimes have to go on a waitlist. The staff was very kind and helpful during my stay. American Express can do better than this. Is this a club or the NYC subway at rush hour? While the food and beverage is fair and the staff tries really hard, the place is entirely too crowded. It is like sitting in a diner on a Sunday morning. Just insane. Plus you have the inconsiderate people who feel the need to put their bags and luggage on empty seats. One of the larger Centurion lounges I've been too, and it looks great after their remodel earlier this year! The local Chef is Dean Fearing, who has opened upscale restaurants such as Fearing's in Dallas. The food here has been very good, and has mostly been Tex-Mex style. Make sure you grab a giant chocolate chip cookie on the way in if you see them since they run out quickly. They usually have 3 local beers on draft, wines, and a full bar available. The bathrooms are very clean, and there is usually plenty of seating to be found. I will definitely try to come back the next time I'm at DFW. read more

HOWEVER COMMA After explaining to the front desk chick that my flight had been canceled and rebooked, and I should have left over 24 hours ago, she denied me entry because I was thirty minutes too early. I get policies, but lady. I've been stranded for a day, and traveling on military orders that got messed up. Have some freaking compassion. I rate heavily on staff. Facilities I'm sure are wonderful. By far one of my favorite Centurion lounges in one of my least favorite airports! The staff was friendly and I managed to hit it at the perfect time when it was mellow. The coffee was very good, L'Occitane kit (as a gift upon arrival) complimentary chair massage or manicure, I don't think they were there but it was probably too early. If you want there are showers and conference rooms (thankfully this trip was pleasure not business) BREAKFAST omg eggs were perfect, pancakes were okay a little dry and I also had some frittata of the day I think it had peppers in it. The fruit was incredibly fresh and delicious. Then let's talk about the complimentary bar (only had one mimosa) I didn't want to be denied boarding.....okay I may of had two ish. Just checked it out on 20221206, it is located right across Gate D11, Pinkberry and Starbucks. Applebee's is right beside it. You have to take an elevator to go up to it. When you are inside, you can see the terminal from above. They also have some private rooms for meeting and such. The food was delicious and they have a wide variety of beverage to choose from. The staff is friendly and they do their due diligence to clean up the facility. The only complaint I have is the tea and the fresca which basically taste like water. read more

DFW centurion lounge is located between terminals E and B. With the the sky train I came from terminal A, and got there to D12 where the lounge is in about 10 minutes or less. The staff was polite. Be sure to have your boarding pass ready, Amex card and id upon checkin. You can do mobile check in on your phone as well, but you still need to stop by the front desk. Food was delicious, bar was well stocked, and the staff was very friendly. There's also a family room for kiddos to play. read more

I've been in this lounge at least 12x this year and I always have a pleasant experience. Centurion Lounges are the only way that I'll arrive to the airport early -- love the open bar and free food. Service is great, and I've only been added to a wait list to get in one time. This lounge is a great way to spend time relaxing before your flight. Even if I'm flying out of a different terminal, I'll arrive even earlier so that I can still get over to the D terminal and have enough time for a meal and a few drinks. My only complaint (but not really a big deal -- just first world problems) is that the lunch/dinner meal is always some variation of chicken and the food is always pretty bland. It is free though, so I probably shouldn't complain. Free, unseasoned chicken is def better than overpriced airport food - to me, at least. Just wish there was more variety in the meals, especially since the menu is supposedly designed by a top chef. All the food is pretty basic. I still haven't tried any of the other amenities (I believe there's a small spa inside) but I'll plan to check it out during my trip this week! This lounge is definitely worth a stop if you're in DFW. read more

They have a three hour rule which makes some sense. However not the way they apply it. My flight leaves at 5:00pm so i cant get into the lounge before 2. If i stay the three hours i miss my flight. So they should at least go by boarding time. Then just to put the crown on it I was told I am ten minutes too early since my flight leaves at 5. Well, today I showed up 10 min outside the 3 hour window (you can only show up 3 hours prior to flight departure). I have never been turned away for arriving 10 min earlier than the window. $600 per year we pay for this service. Today I was turned away on a flight to connecting flight to torreon because aa did not give me proper standby docs for the DFW flight to Torreon. The clerk was rude and full of bureaucracy. I told him his rules were stupid and let him know he was only making customers angry. He doesn't like truth I came back gave him the requested paperwork and he refused service after I gave him the truth. I paid for the service and was denied. Nice lounge - like everything else in TX it is pretty large. That said it is always super busy. The food and beverage options here are good and the folks who work here do a good job of keeping it clean and ensuring people are wearing masks. I think a lot of the negative reviews are reflective of travel with kids who just spent 1.5 years in virtual learning. There have been many families dealing with kids and regressive behaviors and so I can see how that probably reached a boiling point with solo travelers just looking to relax in the CL. I tend to keep my earbuds in to isolate noise and avoid the ear-piercing screams that I don't wish to hear. It sounds like the CL could benefit from a kid-friendly or family-friendly area on the polar opposite side of the area from the "quiet area." read more

Some of the best bartenders around are SAM and DALE!!!! They both are here at Dallas. Whatever you do please leave a tip!!! If there's one thing I hate is to see a bartender or staff put so much effort into making our lives comfortable and NO tip is left!!!! The entire staff here is so accommodating!!! I've been an Admirals club member for years, and I finally got to the point in my business where I could justify a card. Woo Hoo. I finally get to see behind the curtain of secrecy. I get to see the coveted "Centurion Lounge". What a let down. There was no where to sit, the place was filthy, the bartenders were rude, and when i finally did get to try the "fancy food' they had out... it was totally inedible. The texture of the main courses was rubbery. Every dressing, or side dish was an attempt to be unique or something "fancy". Chipotle Caesar dressing.... i almost vomitted. If I was lettuce, I would go on strike. I will try this place once more, but if it is like this again, I'll go back to Admiral's club and see if it's better when I go to one of the other 5 or 6 airports it's at. My advice.... don't try to be something you're not. Its an airport lounge, not a Michelin restaurant. Utterly disappointing and worse than sitting in the terminal at the gate. read more

The absolute best way to travel. If you have a 60-90+ minute layover and you have an AMEX Platinum card, it's totally worth your while to make your way over to Terminal D on the DFW train. I frequently book *slightly* longer layovers and ensure I pass through DFW just to make sure I get plenty of time to eat and drink here. The food is better than just about anything you can buy at any of the airport restaurants or fast food joints. The booze is mid to lower-top shelf. And if you weren't already aware, it's all complimentary with your AMEX Card. If you're not necessarily here for food & drink and just want to escape the craziness of the terminal and not fight random people for outlets/comfortable seats/etc, this is the place to be. Also, free, fast WiFi. Two gripes, but not enough for this to dip below 5 stars. If you're traveling during peak times, try to have patience. Any open seats are going to be a hot commodity. Also, there's a pretty strong correlation between how busy the place is and how friendly/helpful the bartenders/wait staff will be. Heads up: AMEX has been cracking down on people showing up multiple hours early and getting wasted/exploiting their generosity. They likely won't let you in if you show up 3+ hours before your flight. Also, if you're traveling with multiple passengers, each of you will have to go up individually to grab your drinks - one person cannot order & deliver multiple drinks for multiple travelers. Pro tip: Drinks are complimentary, but you should totally still tip your bartender! read more

I was able to use the centurion lounge before my long flight to Sydney at the Dallas Fort Worth airport. The Amex platinum gave me access to this lounge that is located in Terminal D of this humongous airport. It is pretty convenient to get there as the Dallas airport has a skylink train that connects all the different terminals. I had a couple of hours before my flight so was able to spend an hour and change at the lounge. The lounge is located on the second floor and you can access it via the two elevators available. As you enter the lounge the front desk checks you in and are gracious enough to answer any questions you might have. Seating is ample with different sofas and relaxing areas available with every seating provides a charging station for your different electronic devices if they need charging. They also have plenty of different food options along with drinks and a server is walking around asking patrons if they require any drinks. They also have delicious chocolate chip cookies which I would recommend every one should try. The bathrooms are super nice and I saw that the employees were making sure that they were always super clean. 5 star lounge. Part of the Amex membership so as long as you have access use it but needs to be pointed out the Terminal D where international flights depart from is super nice with many different restaurants and awesome seating area which you can relax in before your flight. read more

This place is the saving grace for the DFW airport. Anyone who frequently travels will tell you delays are a certainty more so it seems with American Airlines. The Centurion lounge has been a refuge for me on multiple travel disasters. This is the new one located in the D terminal (D12 to be exact). It's definitely larger than the last one and offers customers a little more personal space. This place offers warm food in a buffet style. I've had ribs, chicken mole, pasta, chips and salad here. The food here is pretty tasty. If the line for the food takes too long to take a few steps and over to their fantastic bar have a good selection of wines and whiskeys (my current favorite is a neat Islay of Barley orange colored bottle but you can't go wrong a Bushmills). They have a fantastic selection of cocktails as well. My favorite is the white mimosa. Careful tho, it has a delayed kick. What sets this place further apart is their mini spa. Pending availability, they offer a 15 min chair massage or manicure. I was not a fan of manicures before but decide to try one when they were booked for the massages and now I actually prefer it to the massage. Shout out to Niko. She is the best. She is a nice middle eastern looking lady who doesn't say much, but she keeps my nails and cuticles on point everytime I pass thru. The massage she does on you hands (yes I edited this several times so that no inappropriate acts are implied) is heaven for my hands. Also, if you find yourself in need of some freshing up after battling the inferno of the DFW, they offer showers here too. Pro tip#1: If you are TSA pre-check, cross security before the Hyatt terminal (I think its around D1-5) They actually have a dedicated pre-check lane. The other security check points group everyone in. If you read this too late and find yourself at a security check point with no dedicated line for TSA pre-check, you can tell him/her you have pre-check and they will either give you a piece of paper or tell others security personell to limit to harassment you get. Pro Tip#2: Refill your empty water canteens here. They have a filtered and sparkling water dispenser. read more

This lounge is in line with a continuing pattern with Centurion. They over-enrolled and are steadily cutting corners to reduce costs. Our 2-hour layover didn't get off to a great start. We were stuck in a holding pattern for an hour, further compounded by the sprawling layout of DFW, we only had 10-minutes in the lounge. They still wanted to charge $50 for my guest to access the lounge for 10-minutes, so I went in solo. It was standard breakfast fare - eggs, homestyle potatoes, and sausage. Nothing remotely unique or interesting. It also wasn't very good - indistinguishable from a Best Western. I didn't stay long enough to experience the service other than to witness an unfortunate exchange between staff and another customer. He asked her, "Where is the salt and pepper?" but she didn't speak English so didn't understand him. He repeated the question a couple of times but ultimately found it himself. It was unpleasantly crowded on a Sunday morning, but I still appreciate that they let people in to grab a bev and use the restroom.
