These guys were popping. I'm sure it's because they're one of the few places open late. I got the cheese toastie which was like a grilled cheese, with prosciutto along with some garlic cheese spread, onions, & creamy dijon. Upon first bite, I couldnt taste the garlic as the Dijon overpowered it. I finished most of the fries, but could barely finish even one half of the sandwich due to how oily it was from all the butter on the bread. Service was good & quick. I'd want to come back & try something else as choosing this was kind of a last minute switched decision.

Chicken Pot Pie and Sweet Potato Fries

Pretty crowded for a Wednesday night, but I guess with the NBA finals on and FIFA, it was packed. It was quite noisy, and we had to wait a while before our server came to us. Once our order was taken, the food came out pretty quickly. We were both very hungry, but unfortunately, the food was unremarkable. My husband's chicken pot pie was "okay", and his side of sweet potato fries was terribly greasy, negatively affecting the taste. My citrus chicken salad was terrible. The grilled chicken itself was ok, nothing special, but it was filled with bland iceberg lettuce and not the romaine lettuce as stated on the menu, what tasted like stale cashews, bland crisp noodles ( out of a can I presume?), very little red onion and not enough mandarin oranges which more were needed to give this salad some life. I basically ate just the chicken and the mandarins. I asked for the two dressings on the side, and this is always my go to salad if I order one while out, but they were eh too. Maybe I'm coming down with something lol? Still very hungry, I looked at the menu in hopes of finding something else, but I really just wanted to leave. Too bad, my husband lived in England for a while and this place looked so great from the outside. Maybe they cut corners in the preparation to bring it out so fast??

Great place to get British food like fish and chips, overall I love the atmosphere and service, I'll come back and give it another try.

Ordered a burger with chips, hubby ordered the pot pie flight. For dessert we ordered the brownie. The food was delicious and the service was good, our server did get a bit busy for a bit and was unable to check on us. The food came out fast minus the brownie which seemed to take 15 min. It was good, 2 huge brownie pieces with a small portion of vanilla ice cream in the middle. The burger had a nice outer char in it which was nice. The pot pies were good but the chicken one did not have any chicken in it which was disappointing. The leek and cheesy potato one was my favorite, while the hubby really enjoyed the sherpards although it was a tad dry.

3 and half stars to 4 stars. Cool place, good food. First time trying poutine, so nothing to compare it to- however the gravy and curds were good. Ordered and fish and chips and fish was a decent size, nicely battered. The other members of my party ordered fish tacos and they complained about how little fish there was in the taco. Shepherds pie was ordered and was told it was good too.

Buffalo style wings and side caesar salad

We were staying at the hotel above the restaurant and our rooms were not ready so we stopped in for lunch. Place was jammed as there were world cup games on tv. Three of us ordered wings and two of us had salads. Fourth person shared with third wing person. Given how crowded the restaurant was, the food came out fairly quickly. Unfortunately the taste was a different matter. Buffalo wings were barely 'mild' and were not crispy. Side caesar was better. Louisiana style dry rub wings-flavor was skin deep only. Server was very friendly and the ambiance is what you would expect-English style pub with darts lots of wood paneling. The salads were better than the wings.

Irish Coffee in an English pub. What more could you ask for?

Have now visited Elephant and Castle twice, once in a small group and once with a large group. Both experiences were absolutely top notch. First, there is a great beer / wine selection. There were some bloody marys on the table and I'm told those were amazing. And of course, if the timing is right, they offer an outstanding Irish Coffee. All the food we tried was terrifice. We mostly ordered apps, particularly loved the buffalo sliders, fried pickles, and the wings. The wings are actually shockingly good for an English pub theme, much better than we expected! Service has been terrific each time. Just a nice group of people. The decor is consistent throughout, it really does feel like you're in an English pub in downtown Seattle. HIGHLY recommend, this is my favorite discovery in a long time.

Stopped by before a show at the 5th Ave Theatre in downtown Seattle. We had a resy for 5 of us so we were promptly seated. The place is a nice British pub and serves some good food. We ordered their french onion soup, chicken sliders, chicken wings with sweet potato fries. The food was good. Their guiness was top notch and had the perfect head. Service was good and the ambience is neat. All in all I will look forward to stopping by and watch some live sports here with friends.

    Falafel Wrap

I don't think I'd ever been to an E&C and was excited to check it out. It was okay overall. The staff were friendly and attentive. The open bar seating was fairly empty and cozy. My falafel wrap was just okay. The falafel itself was strangely ice cold which I discovered after scarfing down the first wrap, but it was busy around the restaurant and I wasn't in the mood to hang out much longer though the bartender did offer to fix it. I also didn't want to risk being given burnt or nuclear grade falafel if I sent it back. I wish they weren't so skimpy on the salad. It looked pretty sad. Not bad place overall, but definitely not my favorite.

Very good priced happy hour with a good selection of appetizers to choose from and $1 off all draft beer and wine. We got most of the appetizers and they were all really good. I was impressed by the size and flavor of each of them. I never had pickles chips in the shape of long thin fries before, but gotta say this shape is a winner. The pickles were not too tangy and salty, which some pickles chips can be and also a major turnoff for me. The sauce they made to go with it had some pickles bits in it too that upped the flavor and meshed really well. The sausage rolls I had here were some of the best I've had, though I admit I've only had a few in my life. The sauce it came with was very tasty too, a little sweet and smoky. I mopped it up lol. There was a football game when we went and the server was considerare to ask if we wanted to watch. We got placed at a comfortable table and got to watch the game most of the evening. Server and host were both nice and attentive. Space is cool and looks and feels like a pretty legit British pub, including where you go downstairs to enter! Very good HH and game watching experience.

My friend and I were in the area and wanted to give this place a try since we were hungry and it was one of the only late-night options nearby. There were multiple levels of seating options as well as indoor and outdoor seats available, though we sat inside since the patios were full. It was quite warm inside! We had a new server at the time who was trying her best to navigate the process with us and answer our questions but we could tell she was either VERY new or received little training before waiting tables on her own. I ordered the wee pie flight but she came back from the kitchen to let me know it was sold out, so I had to choose an alternative, which was the fish and chips. The food was good, not the greatest but decent for a late night pub vibe. The serving of fish was a good size, and if you weren't starving you could probably split this with someone or get an extra piece of fish and split the fries. We also got the highland bread pudding for dessert which wasn't bad either - nice and moist and satisfied the sweet tooth (even if we were ridiculously full after).

Got lunch here and it was great! bartender was super nice. I ordered wings and my coworker got fries if I remember correctly. A lot of people were here I assume on lunch as well. I love the location and it was a short walk from our office. I'm sure I'll be back since I only work at this location on Wed. The space is pretty large and could host large parties if needed.

We have visited Elephant & Castle a few times now on our visits to Seattle. On this visit we managed to be in town on the last Sunday in June which means Pride Parade! The restaurant was very busy with all of the outdoor tables being used on this gorgeous, sunny day! Our host was so much fun. We had interactions with him many times as he passed our table after seating another party. We had a few chuckles with his quick wit. My SO had the Sunday Roast again which of course was devoured. I went for the leek and potato pie with a side of salad. Plenty of cheese on top of that pie, big chunks of potato and a mellow onion taste. That salad is excellent, lightly dressed with lots of texture. They do 'pub' food right. The restaurant is always clean as are the restrooms. There is a baby changing station in both the ladies and men's room (I am told). Parking in nearby paid parking garages. This is Seattle after all. Staff keeps a good eye on you, even when they are super busy. They offer a fairly good selection of brews, wine and other adult beverages as well as coke products.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!
