Its Superbowl Sunday. There are eight people in the dining room. My wife and I ordered steaktips, rare and medium rare. My wifes came out RAW even according the wait staff and manager they were RAW. Mine were passible but on the raw side. They took them back and they came out less raw. Even when they came back there was question in the managers voice if they were okay... (what send them back again) The portions were tiny. We had a side of french fries; i think i got like fifteen. They upcharged for spinich which was coated in oil and maybe ten leaves in a little bowl. Heres the rub.... They charged me for this meal! It had to have been the worst two meals I ve had in a restaurant and the worst value. $18.99 for one plate for what I described without exageration. It was awful. My husband and I just had our wedding reception here. We had no complaints about the food or service. It was awesome!

Sat night. Crowded. Had no roll for veal parm sub. It was on bread. 3 1/2 inch veal on 6 inch bread. Not worth it.

The food here is really quite good and they have a really good selection of dishes including seafood dishes. The service is excellent. The restaurant overlooks a large pond and provides an interesting albeit unspectacular view. Overall The Chateau restaurant provides a good value for the price. read more

We have been loyal customers to the Chateau and Nocera's for years. They are absolutely the most consistent restaurant we know for quality and service. We never leave disappointed, and their family meal deals that you can take home are great for nights when the kids games and work make it impossible to cook. Perhaps what made me most loyal was when my grandmother died, and we catered her funeral with Chateau food. I come from an Italian family who is very picky, and everyone was delighted. There was so much food, that my parents took some home and enjoyed for several days. Now my family comes to visit and asks if we can go to the Chateau to enjoy each other's company without having to cook ourselves. To me, that is the hallmark of a great restaurant, family feels comfortable, and would rather go out and enjoy than cook at home. Their salads are awesome, but the kids love the Chicken parm and especially the Sunday buffet. My son gorges himself and then worries later about weigh in for wrestling. Yummo for the Marsala. Kudos to the Chateau and Nocera's for incredible customer service and consistently terrific food. read more

The worse meal I have ever had. We went to try the seafood and it was a big disappointment. The fish was dreadful very dry like a TV dinner. My wife had the seafood platter that was also bad. All the seafood is frozen not fresh. The French fries were soaking in grease. The portions were also very small. It looked like they drove to McDonald's and ordered some fish fillets and put them on the plate. The waitress didn't even ask how the meal was because she knew it was awful. The owners should be a shame of themselves to even try to serve this dreadful food. This was once a good place to eat before the Chateau took over. I will never go back again. read more

I came for dinner on a Thursday night with a few friends and was thoroughly disappointed. I live in Norton and have been to the Chateau a few other times and always had a good experience. However, that was not the case this time. Their fresh bread and the food was good as I remembered it but our service was far from it. The four of us ordered waters and it took at least ten minutes to be delivered. After finally ordering, my entree, which was supposed to be chicken parm with gnocchi came out as chicken park with penne instead. Our server apologized and fixed it quickly, but after delivering all the food, we did not see her again till about 15 minutes after we had finished our meals. When we finally got the bill, it was incorrect so we waited another 10 minutes until we were able to inform our server of the error. We then watched for about 20 minutes as our server, a manager, and several other employees stood around the computer trying to fix our bill, which probably should have been an easy fix. After the bill was fixed, we had to wait yet again for our server to return so that we could pay with a debit card and the rest cash. What should have been a quick dinner turned into a two hour affair that consisted mostly of waiting for our server to check on us. I was disappointed that at no point during this fiasco did the manager come over to our table and see how things were going. I understand that our waitress was relatively new (as told by her), but there seems to be a real lack of training in this restaurant. I might return to the Chateau only for the food and just hope for a better service experience. read more

I took my family on a busy Saturday night. I have no complaints about the food or the server, both were excellent. My problem was that apparently there was a function that all ordered and we had to wait....a long time for our food. The manager apologized but didn't offer a desert, drink, nothing. read more

Had my wedding reception here, very beautiful right on a lake. The banquet room is very nice and had enough room for our stainless steel drum band, and our projector and screen to show our guests our wedding in Jamaica. Dance floor was a good size. The food was exceptional! We still go back for their lasagna and meatballs which are to die for! read more

Live around the corner from this location. Dine in every now and also grab take out from time to time. Food and service is usually pretty good. However, last several times of take out have been disastrous, including tonight. Had friends over and we ordered $80 worth of food. Paid for order 25 minutes after it was called in and 30 seconds later the kitchen brought order out to front reception area. I thinking we are all good this time. The only dish (ordered a total of 6) that was hot and excellent was veal parm sandwich. Everything else, 2 orders of the famous toasted raviolis, gnocchi, mac & cheese and plain pasta were "luke" warm at best. They even forgot the butter for the pasta and bread as promised, which happened to be the dish for our guests kids. The microwave saved the day by reheating plain pasta with frozen butter. Happy child with crappy tasting pasta. When I called to discuss I got "sorry, we are extremely busy". Prior two take out experiences were plagued with wrong pizza and entree orders that were also "luke" warm. One thing is for sure, if you plan on eating here don't order take out because they are sure to get it wrong and it wouldn't be hot. I'll take my business elsewhere next time, because I to live a busy life too and want my food order correct and hot. read more

Made reservations here for the reception after my child's baptism. Even though we had reservations we still had to wait 40 minutes!!!! I asked to speak to the manager about it, and she was extremely rude. They placed part of our group in a booth with uneven tables, and then the rest of our party at a table out from the booth. It was a very awkward set up, and the family members in the booth were unable to join in the conversations. My husband quietly asked for the bill when everyone was done and the manager came over and announced to our party how much the bill was!!!!!!! She knew my husband wanted to pay the bill. I don't understand why she would announce to our guests how much the bill was. It was very uncomfortable for everybody in attendance. I have been going to this restaurant since I was little and it was Ann's Place. I will NEVER go back. There are much better Italian restaurants out there, and the service is awful!! read more

YUM!!!!!!!! The gentleman that served us was so kind and on top of our food being brought out and our drinks being refilled I thought I was in a 5 star place. They have reasonable prices and deliciousssss food. I love the toasted raviollis and their calamari is cooked perfectly. The sandwiches are great too! Oh and if you are a french onion soup fan, dont walk, run there! Very good, great location with a beautiful view. Full Bar!!! We had our wedding here at the end of march 2012, and I HIGHLY recommend it for future brides! They made the room look so beautiful, and it is right on the water. The food was amazing, everyone was raving about it! Also, I couldn't have asked for a better, more attentive staff! They were amazing. Recently, amidst graduation season, our family and I have dined at The Chateau during lunch hours. Ordered some drinks, put it on our tab. from the bar, and time to dine at last. The waitresses passed out some bread and butter, nothing significant really. It wasn't like hot rolls on a bright sunny day at a barbecue. Their menu was terribly confusing. I think they like the comments on the entree selection they must get regularly. How easy it was to order a side salad with my selection without the choice being labled in a box. I ordered a plate of pasta, but to my surprise I found the reminence of something dead on top. I am a vegitarian, that is bad enough. So, I surveyed some dessert, even though I wanted a doggie bag to take home. I was so stuffed, that I decided the dessert wasn't worth it. At least have the option of take out and run. I am not one to complain or give a low review, but after my family's experience here I feel compelled to warn you. There are just too many other great restaurants around to spend your well earned money at this place. If you do go here, and you end up with a waitress named Sandy, RUN, don't walk, out. She ruined what should have been a wonderful evening out with my family. Absolutely no customer service training whatsoever. We are nice people, my husband was a past waiter so we are always kind and tip well, because we understand that job. However this woman was atrocious. I had to ask for my ginger ale 3 times. She charged us for drinks we never had. My mom asked for water without a lemon, and of course it came with a lemon. The food literally took over an hour to come out. This is the thing - we understand mistakes happen (even though there were many), but when we would ask politely again or bring it up, she got angry, as if we were bothering her. She literally would run by our table, ignoring us when we would say excuse me (all my mom wanted was ice in her cup of full water - no ice). Honestly I could go on and on. To top it all off, I did say something to the Manager as we were leaving, very respectfully, because I thought they should know (since they never came by to check, even though they were well aware we were having a bad experience). Well this Manager (and I wish I caught her name - short hair) could not have cared less. She listened, but my family and I could read her face that she did not care. Now I see that this is just the culture there. People that do not care about your experience. It's sad- I will never go back, and will be sure to spread the word around as well. Usually have great experience here - they tend to seat non reservations first and have reserve rations wait a little bit. Last night our waitress was awful!!! We waited approximately 10 minutes to be acknowledged by waitress - 15 mins for a drink order. When we finally got our drinks - one mixed drink was wrong. Katie walked away and eventually made her way back only to bicker that she saw them make the drink and it was right. We finally got bread and butter shortly before our food came out. The Alfredo sauce on the chicken broc ziti was like cloudy water!! It was awful!!! Katie did not come back to see how our meals were so when she finally came back everyone else was finished. After being told the Alfredo was like cloudy water with no taste. She again went on the defensive! Eventually she agreed to take plate back to kitchen. $18.00 for this plate and your going to argue!!! Surprisingly our desserts and check came very quickly - her shift was over and she was heading home!! Due to the other people with my party she received a decent tip but why would we think she would say thank you when she wouldn't get another drink or have a meal replated!!! I made arrangements for a family union for 18 people and was told two side-by-side tables would be set up by the lake windows to accommodate us, but instead there were three tables with little space between the back-to-back chairs, making it impossible for some of my guests to sit comfortably or to stand up and move around. Because we were kind of separated, in order to speak to one another, we had to shout across the room or not speak to each other at all. Drinks were spilled as people walked by and bumped into those who were seated. The tables were so small, we had to put the bread and the condiment caddy on the floor to make room for our meals. Although the food and the service were good, this after all was a family reunion and the purpose was to reunite and catch up to date with our relatives. Unfortunately, that didn't happen! I also noticed that some of the chairs were in disrepair which surprised me, because I've been to The Chateau many times over the years and have never seen their furnishings in need of attention before. We were also celebrating a birthday and brought a cake with us. When I made the reservations, I was told the waitresses would cut and serve the cake, but they never did and another member of my party took it upon herself to do so, ending up with her getting frosting all over her clothing. Since I was the person who arranged the union, I was naturally embarrassed and commented to staff members about the uncomfortable set up. Since there was no other patrons on our side of the room, tables could've have easily been reaaranged to accomodate us, but no attempt was made to do that, but I didn't want to upset the cramped crowd in pursuing the change of sitting. Now, however, I will have to consider whether or not to return there in the future! read more

Took my dad and some of his friends here for dad's birthday. Awesome setting on the lake and a nice atmosphere although décor is a little dated and could use a little freshening up. Service was very good. Our waitress was attentive even though it was very busy when we first arrived. Food was good although it does have a little bit of a pre-made vibe to it. Would be nice if things had a little more fresh/homemade feel to them. Food came out VERY fast for a large party (9) at a busy restaurant which I think started the pre-made thoughts in my head. If I could make 2 suggestions to the owners: freshen up the décor a little bit...and try to put out more fresh made food. Part of the reason for the latter is probably because the menu is very large with a little bit of everything. Almost made it hard to choose. Don't try to do everything...cut the menu in half and do really well at the things you do offer. All in all it was a nice dinner and the prices were fairly reasonable. read more

the food is very good for the most part and the portions also pretty good, my girlfriend and i always sit in the dinning area nearest the bar, for the nice veiw of the lake, but i will tell you the bartender (Leslie) is a total asshole everytime we see her, you think someone in the management area of this place would have the brains to see that, she needs some training dealing with the public. if you hate your job get another one, you are so miserable, shame on Chateau to let this continue, we don't visit as often anymore. hope this helps, steve&marge. read more
