    Best BBQ ever!!!

We drove 4 1/2 hours from SoCal and were not disappointed. The ribs, pulled pork and sausage was absolutely fantastic. Curt and his partner were great host and made the food presentation appealing. We'll definitely be back and give the Chef's Touch BBQ Rig a 100%+

I've driven by their BBQ Rig truck several times, but finally stopped by here yesterday for lunch. They are right off the 154 as you enter Los Olivos. The line was steady the whole time we were there, so clearly a popular spot. We decided to get "The Big Mess," so we could try different items. I was especially excited about the Mac and cheese egg rolls. Oh my gosh- they are so good. I love the spicy sauce on top. They put pepperoncini's in their coleslaw and I'm a big fan of that too. The house made pickles are also really good. Be sure and add one to your order! The meats were great and it was fun to watch them cook everything on the smoker while waiting in line. They don't have anywhere to sit, so be prepared to have to find somewhere to go to eat. We wanted more barbecue sauce than we had, but I didn't see this was an option and since we couldn't eat there. I couldn't have gone back to ask for more at the time.

This is a GREAT BBQ food truck with a couple of fun and friendly people running it! Grab a Rose from Refugio and order some Mac n cheese egg rolls and a whole hog sandwich! So delicious in a beautiful setting! We drove up in our orange vette and we were so tempted to take them for a ride because they complimented it so much! Great food, great company and a beautiful setting! Visit this truck and support this small Ca business!!!

Amazing BBQ Rig in the Santa Inez Valley. I had their pit smoked ribs ($14) and they were absolute perfection! I highly recommend this place for your private events

We were lucky enough to stop by Carthartt Tasting Room in Los Olivos when The Chef's Touch food truck was parked outside.

She was incredibly professional, arrived right on time, came fully prepared with everything she needed, and completely took the stress off our evening. The food was so good (honestly DELICIOUS), and on top of that, she somehow left the kitchen even cleaner than when she arrived! She was attentive, kind, and impressively patient while managing our themed dinner- even after we'd enjoyed a few glasses of wine. The entire experience felt thoughtful and seamless. You will absolutely not regret hiring her!

If I could change one thing about my wedding, it would be hiring Chef Ashley…read more The booking process was stressful from the beginning. Communication was inconsistent, and it was often difficult to get a response. As a bride planning a wedding, you want to feel confident that your vendors are organized, reliable, and prepared. Unfortunately, I never felt that level of confidence throughout the process. After multiple follow-up emails, I reached a point where I considered hiring someone else simply because I was unsure whether my event was confirmed. Payment was requested in full through a QuickBooks invoice, but there was no formal contract or detailed service agreement outlining expectations. I believe implementing a more structured booking process with contracts and automated forms would greatly improve the client experience. On the wedding day, Ashley arrived nearly two hours later than the arrival time she had provided. She arrived while I was getting ready, which added unnecessary stress to an already busy day. As for the food, there were some highlights. The steak was excellent, the prosciutto sandwich appetizer was delicious, the wedge salad was very good, and the chocolate mousse was well received by our guests. However, other dishes missed the mark. The unagi pasta was largely untouched by our guests, and the halibut was bland and lacked seasoning. The steak was served warm, but the mashed potatoes underneath were cold. My biggest disappointment was the level of service. I had expected a fully serviced, plated fine-dining experience, especially for such a small and intimate wedding of only eight guests. Instead, many details felt overlooked. We often had to ask for basic service items, poured our own wine, and even packed some of our own leftovers. Despite specifically requesting that leftovers be saved, a significant portion was discarded. Overall, the experience did not match the level of service I expected for the price paid. While some of the food was very good, the communication issues, late arrival, service shortcomings, and lack of professionalism throughout the planning process overshadowed the positive aspects. I would not hire Chef Ashley again.

We ordered deviled eggs, bacon wrapped dates, jalapeno poppers and caprese skewers for the appetizers. We also did brisket and pulled pork with Spanish rice, mac n cheese, potato salad and coleslaw for dinner. And everything was so yummy! I echo what many others have shared in that Jorge is incredibly professional and responsive. Him and the team really go above and beyond - from ensuring the set up was done nicely, to the color table cloth we preferred, they really want to make sure everything is done thoughtfully. I got married in La Arboleda in the Lompoc area and had interviewed many other wedding caterers. Many of which charged an arm and a leg for every item - literally, serving spoons, chafing dishes, linens, tables, every piece had a markup fee as well for convenience even though they were all likely rented from the same rental company that I could have rented from directly. Jorge gave the option for an inclusive flat rate set-up and service fee which was so much more reasonable and simple. I am so incredibly happy with the food and service we got from SmokeMeOut BBQ and highly recommend them for catering.

I cannot recommend Island View Catering enough. Buckle up, there's a lot I want to say…read more We had a Sept 2020 wedding originally, so we were part of the postponement crew. We postponed one year so we got married in Sept 2021. I had to move all my vendors, which I did so successfully. Then, due to some unfortunate circumstances, my original caterer cancelled on us about 4 months prior to the wedding. I was frantic as this was a very competitive year due to all the postponements. I started reaching out to anyone and everyone and to my surprise, I still had a lot of options. I got on the phone with Avrey and he was the first person that really put my mind at ease and made it clear that he could and would do his best to mostly match the menu I had already created and work with me on budget that I already had. He was such a fabulous person to talk to and work with; I just felt really at ease and like my opinions and needs were being taken care of. I'm also in the service business, and I admired the way he was treating me as a potential client. I ended up signing with them and the proposal process was very clear, professional, and smooth. Then he met my wedding planner, and she also thoroughly enjoyed working with Avrey and his team, and that was impressive to me. Then comes the wedding day - holy crap - I had SO MANY people come up to me and tell me not only that the food was absolutely phenomenal (we had a taco bar and delicious apps), but that anyone who ran into one of the catering team members was so impressed by them. I had brought my own bartender, a friend of the family, and she also had nothing but great things to say about the catering team. I later found out that we ran out of margaritas that we had premade, and Avrey said great we'll make more. I am still not even aware of what ingredients we had and didn't have, but somehow they made more. So to be clear, his team went back and juiced a ton of limes and made more batches of margaritas, which they were never responsible for in our contract/plans. My parents and some family friends did a lot of the take-down of the wedding. The catering staffed helped them tremendously - again, not their job. They helped box up extra wine, extra food, and even carry it to my parents car and help them load. The food was INCREDIBLE, and it was so beautifully presented; the team was top notch. Your catering team really makes the wedding flow - if they're disorganized or anything less than stellar, so are your and your guests' experiences. I had so many people tell me that this is the best wedding food they've ever had. Avrey is one of the most professional caterers I've come across - his communication is impeccable, and he just cares about doing a good job. Do yourself a favor, call Avrey and book them for whatever event you have coming up. I only wish I had more events to hire them for.

And the menu was tailored to the bride and groom's tastes. The service was attentive, happy, and always in the right place at the right time. The drinks were legit (not watered-down sugar with cheap booze). And they stayed the WHOLE TIME so if a guest wanted anything more as the night went on, they were there to make it happen... and still full of smiles at 11:30pm!! Truly a wonderful partner for any event! Thanks, Island View Catering, for helping our friends' wedding such a success!
