Most items are gently used, excellent condition, and some still have prices tags. My recent trip I went in with a plan and found a few pieces that I currently can't find at other stores new because they were out of season. While most of the store is very organized, the toy section is a mess that I don't bother picking through. A lot of the larger toys can be found above the clothing. The staff were really friendly and I signed up for their rewards program. Overall, Once Upon A Child is great, but I'd like to note that whatever cleaner they use is very strong that I have minor allergic reactions (feeling itchy, scratchy throat, etc,). I can only shop for so long and symptoms disappear after I leave the store. I've wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

When it was in Townline Plaza, the store was bigger, there was a lot more as far as selection and the store was fairly clean. Since the move to the mall, this Old Navy has gone down hill quickly. 1) It's a smaller location. It's half the size of the Townline Plaza location and seemingly, there is half the merchandise and selection. Everything is cramped and crammed together. 2). The Old Navy in Townline Plaza had EVERYTHING. Jeans? Check. Work clothes? Check? Shoes? Check. Work out gear? Check. Casual clothes? Check. PJ pants? Check. Now the Meriden Mall location only seems to carry jeans and workout clothes. It's frustrating to see a wall of jeans and then a section for yoga pants and t-shirts with some really messy racks of clearance merchandise interspersed. I love Old Navy khakis for work but this location hasn't stocked khakis since the summer. 3) This place is DIRTY. There's dust and dirt EVERYWHERE. There are dustballs in the dressing rooms. There are piles of clothes in the dressings rooms because the staff apparently doesn't pick up the clothes on a regular basis. Clothing is sloppily hung on the hangers and on the racks. It's like shopping in a dollar store or flea market. 4) The staff is brain crushingly slow-speed wise and mentally. It does not take much to ring people out but even with all four registers open, there's always a line. Speed it up! Your 29.50 jeans are not worth the time spent in line to pay for them. I don't know if Old Navy is pandering to the high school demographic these days but this is a really disappointing store. If I want to go to Old Navy (and their jeans fit me the best, unfortunately), I'll go after work to West Hartford.

I am unable to get to the Wethersfield location prior to 2 PM seven days a week. I came in today at 1:55 and they would not allow me to leave my items. I kindly asked if I can come back tomorrow or make an appointment after 2 PM any day of the week and they told me no. They told me that I would have to no longer be a customer if I could not come in prior to 2 PM. This seems outlandish to me, especially given that I work with an extremely vulnerable population. I've never encountered such dissatisfactory sales service in my entire life. I would not recommend this location and I've never in my life gone out of my way to write a review on anything. Extremely dissatisfied.
