Food was terrible. Burger was burnt. Martini was nasty, wouldn't fix it. Waitress was nice.

The Chocolate Martini Bar was top on our list of restaurants to check out while in Savannah, and we are so glad we did! The drinks were amazing - from a fruity Pomegranate Martini to the Chocolate Salted Caramel Martini! We came here April 2021 and if I based the rating on that visit, it would be a 5 star rating. Somewhere in the past year, this place has gone downhill. I ordered a burger, medium rare and what I received was rare. We ordered mozzarella sticks that were supposed to come with a special white chocolate sauce, it was served with cold marinara instead. The server was sweet, although was very scarce and extremely air headed. The restaurant was not busy at all and she didn't remember taking our order. She brought my friend the wrong drink initially, even though it was rectified. After this recent experience, we won't be returning. read more

Don't waste your time on this place. There were maybe five tables total in the large space and they "gave my order to someone else" and I never received my food. We waited an hour and a half and they still hadn't made my meal yet AND everyone else at my table already ate. So while I watched everyone else at my table eat their food, I ended up going to a drive-thru on the way home because everyone was done with their meal and I hadn't even received mine yet. They didn't even offer a discount or coupon or anything after never even giving me my food. I am very disappointed and suggest that you find somewhere else to eat - I can't even review the food because they never gave it to me. read more

From the start I figured it would not be the best time. When I made our reservation, for 10, I was called about three hours before the reservation and was given a time limit of 1 hour 45 minutes. When we arrived, we were sat immediately. Took a bit of time for drink orders to be given and one our guest were overlooked by the server. After drink came out we ordered food. We were told with parties over 4, our food would not come out at the same time. It didn't. They were out of a lot of items, but we were told this as we ordered instead of before. Overall, we were there just over 2 hours. I assume time limits don't matter since the service was slow. We did notice a group at the bar that were there before us and still when we left, so not sure why they insist on time limits. Food was ok, but service was slow. read more

If you're looking for a place with great drinks then this is your place, but the food was just mediocre. I had the Bacon Jam burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was good, but the top bun was so thick and cold I had to just take it off the burger. The coconut mojito was amazing!!! read more

We arrived for lunch at 12:30 and even though there were only about 5 other occupied tables, it took almost an hour to get our food. Our waitress was trying her best to manage a bad situation but she was obviously not being supported by the back of the house. Server was spectacular and doing her best with what she was given. For example: not having half the menu to serve. being the only server in the restaurant. having to make her own drinks. You would think a business would provide a reliable menu for the servers to serve. have more than one server. have a reliable bartender to make drinks. They definitely don't setup the staff for success. However, food was okay, drinks were sweet and tasty, but until the staff is setup by management with what they need to run a good business, the place is going to suck. The manager who finally took care of us was great. They called him Q but I believe that his actual name is Quintavious. The other guy at the bar seemed to only be focused on one group of people on the opposite side of the bar and only came to us once. Q came to help out after he finished in the dining area and the back of the house. I do understand that they were short of help and the actual bar tender walked out on them, but what bothered me is that the other manager who came behind the bar still only acknowledged one specific group of people. Very cute and sexy sleek atmosphere. The drinks menu is plentiful and you cannot go wrong with any choice. Our group only had drinks for the evening, however they have an extensive food and dessert menu as well. Don't let the name fool you, they have other martinis, hot chocolate, mojitos, mules, milkshakes, bubbles, and beer - not just chocolate! When we first walked in, the place had a nice look. There was one girl at the hostess stand and she was taking a phone order. Once she was done with the phone, we were sat right away. We were waiting for 10-15 mins after knowing what we wanted to order. Another table of 8 was seated after us and their order was taken first. It took 20-30 minutes for the server/hostess to take our order. We ordered 2 martinis, 2 waters and 2 burgers. It took 15 mins to get our waters and another 15 mins to get our burgers. I didn't forget the martinis because they were never brought to our table. After we ate, we got the bill and the martinis were on there. As we went to the bar to pay, the bartender said she made the martinis and were placed at the pickup area, where they still sat. The manager came over to address our concerns, took the bill and our card and said would remove the charges. Came back and charged us for the martinis. It took another 15 minutes for the manager to get it refunded and recharged without the martinis. The entire serving staff were lazy and seemed like they didn't care about the customers. The bartenders were on their phones and seemed to ignore others who were sitting at the bar. I would not recommend, burgers were average and the martinis looked good. This was my wife's third time at the restaurant and only one time had good service, one time they were not given any attention and just left. read more

If you do reservations you won't seat until every one on your party arrive. If you have some come to your party out of blue this person will have to leave, they won't let the person seat even if the the restaurant it's empty. The servers are unbelievable disrespectful with the clients, and charge tips before the bill and suggest add more. The owner came over and try to explain the policy and excuses bad behavior of the server, but the damage was done already. I can understand the main plate in the party has to arrive all together, but I don't understand not be allowed to seat because they aren't able to serve drinks and appetizers. Overpriced food, drinks and slow service! First time and won't come back. Had to cut it short because drinks and appetizers were bad. Fried Ravioli- cold and barely any spicy marinara sauce. Choccuteri Board- expensive with the cheapest chocolates in existence. And in 45 minutes we saw our server twice. Stay away! I had such high hopes for this place but unfortunately it was a major let down. When me and my party arrived the hostess stated that she didn't see our reservation. This reservation was made in advance for a group of 12 for a birthday dinner. Also there reservation system is a notebook which I can only imagine causes confusion. After the team scrambled they were able to accommodate us in the dining room and that's where it went South. First round of drinks took around 20 minutes and the second took a whopping 30 minutes. By the time I got my second drink I didn't even want it anymore! When I approached our server about my Keylime pie martini tasting like bitter lemon and cheap Vodka, she stated that they do not do exchanges or refunds on any martinis and offered me a sweet tea! What a joke! When the food finally came out it was mediocre at best. My burger was $17 and was severely overcooked. The chocolate pasta and pizzas were equivalent to Little Caesars. If you like paying for every single add on and a high price tag for poor food this place is perfect for you! In regards to service it is quite poor. The server never cleared the table causing a cluttered and messy dining experience! No knife was provide in the roll ups so our whole group of 12 shared one knife to cut our meals! Once everyone already cut their meals our server then realized no one had a knife and offered one. Two members of our group ordered a margarita pizza and it came out with no basil, no tomatoes and topped with cilantro. When I went to the restroom I got a sneak peek into the kitchen and it was quite dirty and looked very unorganized! Our server brought out our checks without offering dessert and on top of it they were not split correctly. At this point we just dealt with it. No pens were provided to sign our checks and we had to use a pen from one of our friends purses to sign them! This was HORRIBLE. The menu looks amazing which was what drew us to this place but every single thing we ate was disgusting. The meat and fish were beyond gross and did not stay in my stomach long. The salads and veggies were not fresh either. It was overpriced beyond words and when we shared our feedback with the staff/owner they became defensive. Except at a Denny's I know to expect subpar steak and shrimp.. First time visit and I certainly have mixed feelings. My husband and I went for our Anniversary tonight, we had a reservation and we were seated fairly quickly. There were several parties already dining so the establishment was pretty busy. We were seated and it took about 20-25 minutes before we were brought water. The waitress explained she had four other parties and they were short staffed, she came back about 10-15 minutes later to take our order. We ordered two martinis, a banana cream pie and a s'mores martini, an appetizer (tomato and mozzarella slices) but only after being told that our initial request the Chocuterie board was not available because they were out of strawberries and candied bacon. We ordered our entrees at this time as well, the Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta. another 20 minutes or so passed before the person who seated us came over to explain that they had no idea what we had ordered because the printer had gone down. We resubmitted our order and waited again for another 10 minutes for our appetizer. The mozzarella and tomato was very good and so were the entrees, we were over halfway through our entree when the martinis finally came, those were also amazing! The woman who seated us, and the other waitress checked on us a couple of times but the person who was supposed to be ours didn't check on us once during the course of our meal. During our meal I would like to note that the same appetizer we had requested (which was not available because they were out of berries and bacon) was in fact served to two other tables, both of which had at least one of the two elements they were "out" of. We finished our meal with an epic fondue board, the brownies were still HOT from the oven. OMG! It was only then that our waitress resurfaced to give us our check. Absolutely a great place for drinks and desserts, the food was very good but the service was lacking. I went to the chocolate bar with my boyfriend for the first time it was a very nice place inside and outside the food was OK the waitress was ok she didn't know what was on the menu because I asked for the shrimp Alfredo and I ask her if The shrimp was grilled she had no idea she said yes and it wasn't but she needs to know the menu second I didn't realize it said black owned I will not go back because I don't support places That have to make a statement like that. Extremely disappointed! Came here for my husband's bday dinner and waited 40 minutes for our salmon to finally come out dry and over cooked , the shrimp was mushy, and potatoes were burnt. We told the manager we would pay for our sons food and our drinks but refused to pay for food we had no intention of eating. He then asked if we asked for a specific temperature for our salmon and that they make it that way every day. I definitely didn't ask for overcooked dry salmon! Drizzling bourbon sauce on it does not make it better! He tried to say he could only give a discount until I had to reiterate that I WILL NOT pay for it. Went for the first and probably last time yesterday. The service was extremely low, I think only 3 people were working. We received waters abs a drink from the bar fairly quickly & placed an order for an appetizer; we got the Charcuterie board, mozzarella & tomato and the bourbon glaze wings. Upon arrival we were given a timeline of how long we could stay at the restaurant. We were told we had an hour and 30 minute time limit. I have never had this happen at a restaurant before! Then we waited an hour for our food and when the food came out we found a HAIR in one of our dishes!!! So we asked to simply pay for the drinks we had but not the food, since we couldn't eat it. The manager came over and said he couldn't take all of the food off since one of the dishes was fine, but we were too scared to eat it since there was a hair in our other meal.
