Easily the best coffee place in Beckley. Locally owned, great staff. They have a little place set up in the cafeteria at Raleigh General Hospital, and I know I can speak for the entire hospital staff when I say, we wouldn't make it through the day without these amazing girls, they work very hard because we keep them busy! I would recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're just passing through town and this might be your only chance to try it. read more

Great coffee for me and ice cream for the kids. It's a really cool place to just sit and have a conversation. The owner is really nice and the climbing wall out back is a great place to spend the afternoon. You can also rent out the upper deck for birthday parties. My son always has a blast here. read more

Cool little hip coffee place. Stopped in to get some sort of coffee drink before I drove back from West Virginia. Ended up getting a salted Carmel iced latte. It was very good. Took everything in me not to chug it. They have a lot of upscale coffees, teas, smoothies and more. This is an incredible and fun find. So glad we did! To start with, the owner is the coolest guy. Super nice and funny, great personality. He makes it worth stopping just to meet him! The coffee is wonderful they roast their own. I got the John Henry. My wife got a drink called the Mothman which was great with a spicy zing. The atmosphere is also so nice! You would be foolish not to stop here if you are in the area, maybe even if you are not. Oh yes, there is also a mini golf and rock climbing wall. read more

Perfect spot if you need to get out of the car for awhile. Not far from the freeway. Quite the assortment of drinks and desserts. I was too late to try their coffee but the menu was full of syrup-laden options. I prefer coffee that doesn't need those additions. I will update my review if/when we stop here again. The family mostly got ice cream and they let our 7yo try the iced bubble tea before ordering. I like that this place likes to educate you about coffee and teas in a tasteful wall display. This place is amazing. One of a kind. Very nice coffee shop with tasty selection of hot coffee, iced and frappe style. I had white chocolate cookie butter frappe style. Yum. I also grabbed 2 vanilla pecan biscottis, so good. They have cozy seating. The staff was super friendly. They also have ice cream that they sell by scoops. read more

Awesome little hidden gem. This coffee shop looks like it was transplanted from somewhere like Tahoe or Aspen. It sits back off the road just a bit. The decor inside is nice and has a warm feeling. I got some coffee to go, but it looked like a great place to relax and enjoy your drink. The owner was super friendly and we talked for a bit. The place also has a putt putt course and climbing wall off the back of the coffee shop. I didn't see them but it seemed really cool and unique. I love going to get coffee at a place like this, rather than go to a chain coffee shop and be pushed through the line like everyone else. read more

The coffee here is amazing. Much better than the chain places and I love supporting local business. My favorite is the broomstick brew. However, the app that the use is garbage. It will charge you and never send your order through. Also be prepared to wait. There is always a line and only like 2 people working in the entire place. If they had a decent app and adequate staff this place would be amazing. read more

A++!! Service was excellent, friendly outdoor cat named Pete, and coffees were incredible!! $10 for two delicious 16oz Mochas. We loved the ambiance and all the moose decorations. Parking was easy, they have their own private lot. I'd love to get coffee here again, but unfortunately, I live out of state. read more

My boyfriend and I drove past this spot and turned around just to try it. It was disappointing. I ordered a cold brew which definitely isn't espresso but he made me an iced latter where the shots weren't even tamped correctly. The shots tasted dead. It was one of the worst coffee experiences I've had. But I will say it's really cute inside. read more

Driving across the country means the opportunities to explore local gems. When I needed a pick-me-up on the road, Chocolate Moose popped up on my yelp search. I had never heard of Beckley (a small college town) but decided to stop because the shop is just off the interstate. I was served by a very polite gentleman and the hazelnut latte was absolutely perfect. I wish I had ordered a larger size as I finished mine within 10 minutes after I drove off. The inside is neat, with multiple rooms and multiple business (indoor climbing gym, real estate office), seemingly run by the same people. There are so many hand-written chalkboards that I wish I could sit down and read them all. As a previous reviewer, I also felt like a kid in a candy store... Don't miss this place if you ever travel on 64/77 south of Charleston, West Virginia. read more

Perfect stop off the interstate without having to succumb to a chain or corporate beast. Coffee was legit (Ethiopian on brew when I arrived), and the service was welcoming and warm. I'd love to make this my regular stop on my frequent trips between Ohio and North Carolina, especially if I have time for a little climbing! When they're good, they're REALLY good. When they aren't, you get hot burnt coffee water when you order a cappuccino.

I think he is being sincere, but he is not giving his own shop the credit that it deserves. Forget Starbucks and Dunkin', this is the best real coffee in our area. I love how they rotate the different roasts and blends from day to day to give you something refreshing. If you want a large serving of sugar and cream I guess this is ok. I can't believe a coffee shop would try to pass off a couple of watered down shots of espresso as cold brew coffee. Also an americano hat was essentially a weak espresso diluted with so much hot water that there was no flavor. If you have EVER been to a real coffee shop outside of Beckley you might know what good coffee is. It is not all sugar and half and half. Absolutely ruined coffee experience.
