This is definitely one of the best places in town. Friendly staff and clean restaurant The bathroom is clean although you have to go through the kitchen, but it's clean.

we have heard soooo many good things about this place so we had to try. i was so upset they didn't have spicy green beans. they're my fav things to get at a chinese restaraunt. we got the fried green beans and they said they could make them spicy but they weren't spicy at all. really good and salty though, but not too salty. just perfect! the mongolian beef had good flavor, but the meat was really chewy. i couldn't eat it because it was too chewy for my liking. i don't like orange chicken, but andy said it was really good. it had great flavor and the perfect amount of crisp. the chow mein was really good too. i loved the flavor. it was chicken chow mein, but didn't have very much chicken in it. the price was pretty good compared to a lot of other chinese food places. the portions were also great. will definitely be back.

Used to come here everyday when I lived down the street from the business. Nice little family owned hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. Very affordable and includes large portions. Servers are always friendly and always remember what I always order. I always order the lunch special which is $10. The chicken stir fry with green beans and fermented beans that includes soup and appetizers. Perfect!

I was downtown and looking for a place to take my family to lunch. My dad is a picky eater so we decided on China Village. The restaurant is small and cozy and the tables fill up fast. There is street parking out in front. The service is great and the staff is nice and friendly. We ordered a couple of dishes. The food is really good and priced very reasonably. We had the Mapo Tofu, Mixed Vegetables, Chow Mein, Chicken and black bean sauce, and a chicken combo plate. We ended up with a lot of left overs. I look forward to coming back here again.

Quick lunch with friend at another older restaurant in Stockton. Service was lightning fast, no sooner than my order was placed, I heard the wok in the kitchen stir frying away, and got my orders soon after. A big plus, the chow fun I ordered exhibited good "wok hei". I also asked for Chinese mustard and they had it, a real plus in my book showing that the restaurant cares about the quality of their products they are serving. The interior is reminiscent of a old diner complete with counter seating and booths, very refreshing. The menu is fairly limited but what they prepare is on point.

I happened to be in the area for lunch. I was craving Chinese food. I Yelped of course, and found this spot. It's located in a cute little "village" with several small shops. There is limited parking on the street so you may have to walk a bit. The storefront is a little hidden but thanks to Maps, I found it. It looks like a very old establishment but I was greeted as I walked in. I placed an order for Mongolian beef and upgraded the side to chow mein for an extra $3, so $13 total. It was a little higher than I expected, considering Chinese takeout. I waited for about 5 to 10 minutes for my food. At first, I felt like the food was really greasy, so if you like greasy, this is your spot. The Mongolian had a lot of onions in it but it balanced out the flavor nicely. After a few bites and some napkins, i was able to enjoy it. The greasiness and the MSG got me. There are other Chinese takeout places for less but this did have a unique taste to it that I ended up enjoying.

Excellent food at reasonable prices. My only request would be that they expand their combo lunch plate and dinner options. I always like for my combos to include fried rice and chow mein which China Village does not. Their soups are exceptional. I love their wonton soup and China Village Noodle soup. Portions are huge and can serve as multiple meals.

Friendly service and very efficient! They have the system down, from ordering to serving, filling waters and boxing up the leftovers! Beautiful ceiling and clean restaurant. Lots of people but it didn't feel cramped, tables are laid out to still feel like you can have conversations without neighbors hearing every word. Food was hot, flavorful and plentiful! We wanted an overall tasting of some of the most popular items so we got a family meal and our waiter helped us tailor/sub a couple choices. Trust their recommendations! We already want to go back and bring family/friends with us!

Turn the clock forward a decade and guess what, the food is still outstanding and the service is still attentive and kind. It was a 2 1/2 hour drive for us so we were good and hungry when we got into town. The owner greeted us warmly and a friendly server (her son), came by to help us. We decided to order: Hot & sour soup - heaven in a big bowl. Savory broth filled with delicious ingredients. It was well flavored, not too spicy or tangy Mu shu chicken - 4 pancakes with hoisin sauce. Our server wrapped our first ones for us. The dish contained the typical scrambled egg, sliced cabbage, protein, etc and it was fresh and tasty Beef with asparagus -noted in the entry that asparagus was in season so we had to order it. Meat was tender and the asparagus was cooked beautifully House chow mein - Fried perfectly and not doused in a bunch of sauce or oil. The protein on this dish was plentiful and it was simple and delicious. I loved how they didn't add chives/green onion to these dishes. The hot & sour soup had a few little green onions for color but this is the first time I've been to a Chinese restaurant that doesn't overfill the dishes with onions (as I don't like onions). Maybe that's the reason I enjoyed everything so much. Portions are very generous! We had lots of yummy leftovers. Our server told us that two of his brothers were the chefs. My kudos to them; they certainly know how to cook!
