This is definitely one of the best places in town. Friendly staff and clean restaurant The bathroom is clean although you have to go through the kitchen, but it's clean.

we have heard soooo many good things about this place so we had to try. i was so upset they didn't have spicy green beans. they're my fav things to get at a chinese restaraunt. we got the fried green beans and they said they could make them spicy but they weren't spicy at all. really good and salty though, but not too salty. just perfect! the mongolian beef had good flavor, but the meat was really chewy. i couldn't eat it because it was too chewy for my liking. i don't like orange chicken, but andy said it was really good. it had great flavor and the perfect amount of crisp. the chow mein was really good too. i loved the flavor. it was chicken chow mein, but didn't have very much chicken in it. the price was pretty good compared to a lot of other chinese food places. the portions were also great. will definitely be back.

Used to come here everyday when I lived down the street from the business. Nice little family owned hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. Very affordable and includes large portions. Servers are always friendly and always remember what I always order. I always order the lunch special which is $10. The chicken stir fry with green beans and fermented beans that includes soup and appetizers. Perfect!

I was downtown and looking for a place to take my family to lunch. My dad is a picky eater so we decided on China Village. The restaurant is small and cozy and the tables fill up fast. There is street parking out in front. The service is great and the staff is nice and friendly. We ordered a couple of dishes. The food is really good and priced very reasonably. We had the Mapo Tofu, Mixed Vegetables, Chow Mein, Chicken and black bean sauce, and a chicken combo plate. We ended up with a lot of left overs. I look forward to coming back here again.

Quick lunch with friend at another older restaurant in Stockton. Service was lightning fast, no sooner than my order was placed, I heard the wok in the kitchen stir frying away, and got my orders soon after. A big plus, the chow fun I ordered exhibited good "wok hei". I also asked for Chinese mustard and they had it, a real plus in my book showing that the restaurant cares about the quality of their products they are serving. The interior is reminiscent of a old diner complete with counter seating and booths, very refreshing. The menu is fairly limited but what they prepare is on point.

I happened to be in the area for lunch. I was craving Chinese food. I Yelped of course, and found this spot. It's located in a cute little "village" with several small shops. There is limited parking on the street so you may have to walk a bit. The storefront is a little hidden but thanks to Maps, I found it. It looks like a very old establishment but I was greeted as I walked in. I placed an order for Mongolian beef and upgraded the side to chow mein for an extra $3, so $13 total. It was a little higher than I expected, considering Chinese takeout. I waited for about 5 to 10 minutes for my food. At first, I felt like the food was really greasy, so if you like greasy, this is your spot. The Mongolian had a lot of onions in it but it balanced out the flavor nicely. After a few bites and some napkins, i was able to enjoy it. The greasiness and the MSG got me. There are other Chinese takeout places for less but this did have a unique taste to it that I ended up enjoying.

Excellent food at reasonable prices. My only request would be that they expand their combo lunch plate and dinner options. I always like for my combos to include fried rice and chow mein which China Village does not. Their soups are exceptional. I love their wonton soup and China Village Noodle soup. Portions are huge and can serve as multiple meals.

It's been too long since I last reviewed China Village and coincidentally a long time since my last visit. When I lived and worked in Stockton I was a regular. We'd plan our lunches here and get takeout frequently. They always do a great job of making delicious food quickly and with generous portion sizes. On my latest visit I was in town for some meetings in Stockton and met up with a friend for lunch. We managed to grab a booth in the back corner. They get very busy during lunch and make sure to get people in and out quickly, though they'll also let you take your time and linger if you're wanting to. We ordered the potstickers for the table, the sweet and sour pork and the Hunan beef. As we waited for our meals they brought drinks and soup to enjoy. The food came out shortly after and was piping hot and as delicious as I remembered. They're also very generous with the portion sizes. We both ended up with plenty of leftovers- enough for at least another meal. And we were stuffed. I miss this cute restaurant and will definitely make it a point to visit more often when I'm passing through, even if it's just for takeout.

Turn the clock forward a decade and guess what, the food is still outstanding and the service is still attentive and kind. It was a 2 1/2 hour drive for us so we were good and hungry when we got into town. The owner greeted us warmly and a friendly server (her son), came by to help us. We decided to order: Hot & sour soup - heaven in a big bowl. Savory broth filled with delicious ingredients. It was well flavored, not too spicy or tangy Mu shu chicken - 4 pancakes with hoisin sauce. Our server wrapped our first ones for us. The dish contained the typical scrambled egg, sliced cabbage, protein, etc and it was fresh and tasty Beef with asparagus -noted in the entry that asparagus was in season so we had to order it. Meat was tender and the asparagus was cooked beautifully House chow mein - Fried perfectly and not doused in a bunch of sauce or oil. The protein on this dish was plentiful and it was simple and delicious. I loved how they didn't add chives/green onion to these dishes. The hot & sour soup had a few little green onions for color but this is the first time I've been to a Chinese restaurant that doesn't overfill the dishes with onions (as I don't like onions). Maybe that's the reason I enjoyed everything so much. Portions are very generous! We had lots of yummy leftovers. Our server told us that two of his brothers were the chefs. My kudos to them; they certainly know how to cook!

Best Chinese restaurant in Stockton. Love their house chow mein and bbq pork buns…read more Pretty authentic!

Friday, January 9th. Approx. 6:50 PM…read more OVERVIEW: Was at Lincoln Village to do some shopping, and wanted to try this restaurant for the first time and get some to-go food. Will probably go back again to give their Dim Sum a try. PROS: - GREAT LOCATION in the middle of Lincoln Village Shopping Center & lots of available parking spaces. - Ordered the Fried Garlic Chicken, Broccoli Beef & House Special Chow Mein. Good flavor & volume for the price. - This may be commonsensical, but while it was quite cold outside on this January evening, management kept the temperature of the dining area at a warm level. I bring this point up since a lot of restaurants in Stockton & Lodi have turned the thermostats of their dining areas down to cut overhead costs, but this place kept their dining area warm & comfy. CONS: - It seems obvious that they only have one chef working in their kitchen, since it took almost 30 minutes to complete my order. Sure, they had to serve other customers dining in, as well as handle a constant flow of pick-up orders, but since it was peak order time on a Friday night, they should have more staff in the kitchen to quickly support the order volume. - While I mentioned in the "PROS" section above, the food has good flavor and volume for the price. The downside is that the overall flavors are not outstanding nor memorable, which doesn't allow for much separation with other mainstream Chinese restaurants, serving the same dishes in Stockton. SUMMARY: If you're in the Lincoln Village area, want to eat Chinese food and are not in a particular hurry, this is a good place to park the car and sit down for a while. If you are in a hurry, better to phone in your order beforehand to cut the waiting time. Don't expect exotic food presentations and flavors, but don't expect massive damage to your wallet either.

Unfortunately prices are similar to San Francisco too, so don't expect dirt cheap prices but for the quality and taste you cannot beat it. And the service is actually so attentive and friendly here! Dim sum all day, but if you order dim sum after 3pm then it's an additional +$1 on all items. Everything is made fresh to order and comes out PIPING HOT! [Beef chow fun $17.99] had a great wok hei flavor, don't be afraid to add soy sauce and chili oil on the table since it does need a bit more salt but the noodles are not overcooked in the slightest and the bean sprouts still have a nice crunch! Good flavor overall, I would get this again [Siu mai $7.25] and [har gow $7.25] were SO GOOD, nice meaty bites, seasoned really well and the wrappers were not overcooked, highly recommend. [Deep fried shrimp balls $8.25] were SO crunchy, crispy, a huge amount of shrimp inside, my mouth is salivating just thinking about it. Definitely need to add soy sauce and chili oil though [Bbq pork cheung fun $7.25] were GOOD! The pork inside is flavored so well and the rice rolls were chewy and not overcooked either! The sauce they add on top is also perfect, would definitely get again Pass on the [deep fried meat dumpling $5.45], the dough on the outside was a bit too dense and overly thick, almost bread like which I didn't enjoy. I wish it had a more mochi-like texture [Shark fin dumpling $7.25] had too much glass noodles inside, I thought it was still raw at first, but it was just a little mushy because of there being less protein inside. Pass [Salt and pepper wings $9.99] were okay, needed more salt and pepper flavor but they were cooked well! Would not get again [Bbq pork bun] was soft, crispy because of the sugar crumble topping and was so savory because of the delicious bbq pork inside! Highly recommend. [Salted egg yolk custard bun $8.25] were so fluffy, heavy on the egg yolk flavor, grainy but still smooth at the same time, really really good and highly recommend this decadent dessert. We also got these [deep fried custard dumplings] that had the same texture as the meat fried dumplings, except it had the most fragrant custard inside! Highly recommend. So glad we have something like this in Stockton, I'm definitely coming back!

We ordered multiple dishes.. The end verdict was ... the food was OMG delicious. Classic Cantonese. Anyways... onto the food. +Pork soup- it was simple and a good start to our meal. +Steamed sea bass - dished out from their tank. Steamed to perfection, topped with oil and sauce. Served whole. This was one of my faves. +Lobster-stir fried, chopped pieces. The lobster sauce was so yummy, you might find yourself licking the shell. +Sautéed greens- classic execution and flavor. +Chicken and green beans in black bean sauce-wok fried chicken and blistered green beans with that salty, deep black bean flavor. Mmm. +Beef and asparagus- tender slices of wok fried beef and asparagus in a light gravy sauce. Yum. + Roast duck- they only had half left. So if your heart is set on one, call ahead with your reservation. The duck was roasted to perfection having a classic crisp skin with deep flavors, moist succulent meat. +White cut chicken- a classic dish prepared well served with ginger oil. +Fried boneless chicken- Cantonese style fried chicken with its thick, fried crispy exterior and moist chicken. Eat this hot and fresh! +House chow mein - with thick noodles. Perfectly cooked noodles. A classic comfort dish prepared spot on. +Chicken salad with shredded chicken and jellyfish- shredded white cut chicken with shredded lettuce and jellyfish. The execution was a bit off; I tasted bit of shard bone. The customer service is attentive and polite with cool aloofness. However, the restaurant itself and the shopping plaza has definitely seen better days and could use a refresh. It has a neglected look. It tugs at my heart since I remember when this shopping plaza was first built.
