My boyfriend and I stopped in here last weekend on a dreary rainy Sunday, prior to the Bills Game. The store was decorated beautifully, and very festive for Christmas, and a lot larger then anticipated. Sadly, nothing spiked our interest, and for unique items pricing was on point, other items a little pricey for age of Amazon, and online ordering. I do recommend to check it out it least once. Staff didn't really acknowledge us, which was a bit disappointing. Glad to have checked it out, probably wont return unfortunately. read more

Went here today for the first time in a few years. Just as in prior years, this store did not disappoint. As soon as you come in the door, you enter the world of Christmas. If you can think of it they probably have it here. The staff is friendly and very, very helpful. At times there is so much to see it is overwhelming. Ornaments, trees, garlands and other decorations are everywhere. I went in searching for something very specific and was sure I wouldn't find it. I was so very wrong. There were 7 different versions of what I was looking for! Parking here is adequate but weirdly laid out. Finding this store takes a sharp eye because it is set back from the road and at the bottom of a hill. Keep your eyes open. It's more than worth the time and trouble. read more

How could I describe this store? Utterly Fabulous! I'm gearing up for the Christmas season...planning my Christmas party...I ask my boyfriend..."Do you know of any year-round Christmas stores"...he recommended the Christmas Shoppe. So Off I Went... I walked in... Giant Upside down Christmas Tree! Friendly Staff! The walk through... I find it seems hundreds of Christmas trees...covered in ornaments and garland all with their own themes....Peacock Tree, "girly" pink tree, blue, green, purple, silver, gold, animal, camping, boy scout, hunting, ANY theme you could imagine....you will find here! What happened to this shop, I cannot say. It has the look and feel of a tired, old store. It felt drafty and dank inside on our recent visit. The carpeting appeared to be in need of a deep cleaning, the variety of ornaments were limited to much kitsch, with some Disney-themed content, and cheesy looking decorations. My dear companion and I couldn't find a thing that piqued our interest in like years past, when we scored some unique items worthy of display or for gift giving. This would be a great venue for some artisan Buffalo-made and themed goods. Very disappointed. read more

Let me first start off by saying there is no comparison to this place. If you want to see the most Christmas items all in one place in WNY it is this place hands down. The service: We were abruptly greeted upon stepping 2 steps into the door by what we assumed was an employee. We didnt quite know for sure at first as the had nothing designating she was an employee. She was stern, informed us of the sales and gave us a wicker basket we pretty much didnt have a choice about taking. During our stay in this establishment we were approached by that very same employee as well as an even more assertive employee that seemed to possibly be the owner. They were overly friendly about asking if we needed help and reminding us of the sales in the store. I understand they were simply trying to help although they were really turning us away, we really wanted to browse at our leisure without "friendly harassment" We then were ready to check out at the same time three other people were checking out. This painful process dragged on for 10 minutes as the clerk individually wrapped each and every thing the person in front of us was to purchase. That employee then seriously asked my fiance to go to the back of the store seeking out the other employee that was working to come and help cash???? Really?? After she went and summoned that employee she cashed us out. This is where we were interrogated about our Name, Address, Phone number, Email, etc. We stated we did not want to provide any of that and we got a look as if we were not allowed to purchase anything without providing some validity that we are real people with names, addresses, and phone numbers. To make a continuingly long story short I give this place the following scores Selection of products they sell 5 out of 5 Service 1 out of 5 Will I return................Probably not. read more

This place is so cool! They have any kind of ornament you could want organized by tree and a ton of cute Buffalo themed Christmas stuff. Plus the place is so big - if you enjoy Christmas shopping it's a great place to spend some time just walking around and looking at everything. 10/10 would recommend read more

Go there and look then order online. These are the rudest business owners and they do not deserve your dollars. I spend a few hundred dollars there every Christmas and they are usually a little gruff. Today they crossed the line. After asking for help and patiently waiting 15 min I had to leave. As I left the owner says she can help me immediately if I stay. As I walk back to the Dept 56 room I hear her loudly complaining about me. I confronted her about her rudeness after I patiently waited for her. I truly had to go. I advised her that she crossed the line and lost my business for good. This is why local business are losing more frequently. They treat customers who spend money locally like crap then get mad when we go online to get a better price. I may not get personalized service online but at least I don't get treated like garbage. So go look, feel and touch here but do not support their bad behavior with your hard earned dollars. read more

Just visited yesterday (10/11/2017). I totally disagree with all the negative comments. What a wonderful store. If you cant find what your looking for there - they dont make it. Soooooo much to look at. Such variety. The staff help was perfect. She addressed us as we walked in, let us browse, checked in with us from time to time. Never pushy, never rude. Assisted when needed. It was an 1 1/2 hr ride for me to travel here and well worth the trip. read more

If someone asked me to go to the Christmas Tree shop around Boston, I would puke in my mouth, swallow it, belch out a natsy throw up burp, blow it in the face of one who dared ask and then say no. I mean it's not really a Christmas shop at all, it sells cheesy little trinkets you will your office mates to not buy for you. But you know it's not the case with this store. It's Christmas all the time and that's their story. I was at first a classic skeptic when my cousin suggested to check it out. But hey we were having a magical day and it was nice way to start the Christmas season. I seriously didn't know such pleasant things existed in Buffalo until she kindly took me under her wing for a day. As soon as you walk in you will be filled with the magic - but again it's very subtle. No ridonculous Christmas music blaring just festive and not over bearing. Ofcourse the highlight for me was the upside down Christmas tree which was amazing. (You can check it out in my pictures.) I will be trying this someday when I live in an abode that doesn't have 20 foot celings. Of other significance and Christmacy spirit inducing for me was the Victorian section - trees done in shades of red and pink making me feel like Clara from the Nutcraker, the old world ornaments featuring ones that were imported from Czech Republic, Germany and Poland which were a nice cultural snack, the Irish room - yes as the Victorian room but done up in shades of green but yet not bogus, and the Santa Room - cause yeah I just like the jolly old chap and get myself a new Santa each year. This year I opted for a Santa Bell which turned out to be an antique and fit just right at my house. Two things I scoffed at a little were the prices - very exhuberant for some items that are just replica's and the staff was the not least bit friendly. Minus a half star for each. Other than that it wasn't a gross experience at all, and not once did I feel the need to puke. read more

I happened upon this place one day and can't wait to go back! The selection is fabulous, from ornaments to statuary, and well worth spending an afternoon. You'll find one of a kind ornaments here, blown glass ones, European ones, kitschy ones- in short, ones to fit every type of need. I haven't seen so many in one place since visiting a specialty shop in a resort town- where the prices were high to boot! We are so lucky to have this place here. I only wish they promoted it more- maybe I would have known about it long before now.... read more
