I understand that my hair was a challenge after years of black dye, but Rob should have told me if the result I wanted wasn't possible--instead of damaging my hair. As you can see in my photos, I ended up with hair that was not only the wrong color, but completely burnt. In the end, the only solution was to shave my head.

I've seen her 7 times now and have never left an appointment feeling anything but confident and stoked about my hair. No joke, last month I got a full balayage and some face framing layers, and within an hour of leaving my appointment, running errands, three strangers stopped me and asked me where I went for my hair/commented on how amazing it looked. Finally, you will not find someone with more flexibility on timing - she is beyond accommodating with her hours which is amazing for people with crazy work schedules. Now we all know that someone to touch our hair it has to be built on trust. I felt I had finally found my niche, I had came to Lidia I couple times to do cut, color, style. So at this moment I was a loyal client and would go to her in the future. Now some things slipped through the cracks while making my appointment. A couple months back I was ready to make a change and reach out a couple of time via phone and in person and the lack of communication failed. No biggie, I wanted to get my hair done here and nowhere else. Thought third time would be the charm so I stopped in person again and saw the owner Lidia. I mentioned that I was ready for a change and discussed what I wanted, I also asked for her colleague because even tho I had paid for a senior stylist her assistant at the time helped me ol half of the time. Again I did not say anything even after being hosed down during our first session. Decided to let it go. Well I indeed asked if she was available since I knew her as well and knew her prices were slightly different. However I was advised that they were actually the same. They did advise me they had someone knew with lower prices if I were interested. I was happy they were expanding but as I mentioned I was loyal to the person who already doing my hair. I had built a relationship and I was satisfied with the work being done. I requested to be booked with Lidia for my service. Now I know she's not there all the time so we can to coordinate a date where she was here on a weekend. I even requested a quote just so I would have an idea. Done! And received a confirmation. I had to reschedule and booked out for a month later. However the day before my services I received an email and saw a name I did not recognize. So I decided to text and confirm. I was advised that it was not with the owner but with a junior stylist because I had requested someone with lower prices. I was confused because I never asked, I was informed but because I didn't know her I was not comfortable moving forward with her. I then began receiving messages that if I didn't show then I would be charged, oh and the owner was not there so she wouldn't be the one doing my hair. I would however have the person (whom I don't know) do my hair because I "requested them". I tend to be clear, I don't know where the miscommunication came from. I've even received an original email that I was booked with the owner. I requested a call because I know I would never book with someone that I'm not comfortable and now have to be stuck in with. A lot of back and worth which wasn't leading anywhere. Neither of us felt that we were in the wrong, I was told I can book with the owner when she is in but at this moment I felt so uncomfortable and would be so awkward that I'd rather lose business with. I felt there was no accountability taken and I was convinced that I would be charged if I didn't show up with my appointment with someone I did not book.

I was in hawaii for some time and my hair was grown out from moving and just didn't find the right stylist. She brought me BACK. To a beautiful, very bright/light blonde! And my hair feels very healthy as well! She was so attentive, meticulous and so fun too talk with as well. I didn't realize or forgot they have parking in front and they will even run out to pay your meter for you if needed. I just parked in the neighborhood nearby. Salon vibes are so chill and inviting. Coffee and water provided too. A no pressure vibe which I loved. No product pushing, no pressure whatsoever when describing what you are trying to get. Sometimes I'm anxious with the salon because it's a lot when it comes to finding the right blonde or just awkward conversation. Not here! She works with you so well and you immediately feel comfortable walking into the salon and through the entire interaction. And just comfortable, fun environment while you're there! Fun conversation, every one was so incredibly nice. I also can't sit still for long- severe back problems and adhd so it was nice I could get up and move as needed. Slightly pricey but expected with the work she provided for myself.

This is not a high pressure sales environment. Obviously suggestions, opinions communicated etc...but the objective was not to sell me something or turn the chair over for the next client. No product pushing. No service pushing. No agenda pushing. Full stop. 2) Skill I've always thought of Blonding as a language; I now believe Caitlin wrote that language. She is 100% the doctor and the surgeon. I got exactly what | asked for. Read that again: EXACTLY what I asked for. Having experienced the accuracy of an exclusively blonde colorist, I cannot overstate that value. 3) Communication It's possible your colorist may have to interpret what you're asking for. It's possible this takes time. Cait spent time with me. She encouraged me to say more and made me feel comfortable (read: not-stupid) as I probably talked out of both sides of my mouth and stumbled through my wants, needs, pictures, let-downs, etc. Look, I don't care who's hair you've colored, or "red carpet" this, "social media following" that blah blee blah. All of your skill and knowledge and experience is lost on me if: I'm intimidated You have one eye on the clock for our entire consult You're annoyed with my inability to articulate Couple the thorough communication with the technical capability and B/B is in a whole other league, entirely. Caitlin, you should be really proud of this business. Ok. SO: I hesitate to comment on/share price and service-time because every blonde really is unique BUT since that's probably the info you're looking for, I'll say this: Re price: Not inexpensive ALTHOUGH more than fair (even before you consider comps at other salons) Re time: It takes as long as it takes.
