In Uptown Somerset, we’ve created a space that feels like a second home: warm, welcoming, and full of character. From the start, our goal has been to blend nostalgia with community — a place where every cup is served with genuine care, and every customer feels like family. What makes us different? Our menu is full of creativity and heart. We craft seasonal drink flights, homemade baked goods, and signature lattes you won’t find anywhere else. Favorites include our Merle’s Mugs program (a tribute to family roots), handmade syrups, and seasonal treats baked right in-house. Everything has a local touch — from fresh ingredients to collaborations with Somerset small businesses. But it’s not just about what’s in the cup. Our cozy, eclectic space — with plants, books, and vintage-inspired charm — is perfect for catching up with a friend, curling up with a book, or grabbing your morning latte on the go. Most importantly, Brewed Awakening is about people. We’re proud to be a true community hub — hosting book clubs, events, and partnerships with local makers. Whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, you’ll always be greeted with a smile, a story, and a coffee made just for you.

This review is about the "sibling" Dunkin Donuts location at the SOUTHERN Somerset plaza -- across…read morethe highway from this one. It does not have its own Yelp-listing, but, apparently, suffers from the same attitude problems. When we arrived last night, the lights were on, but the counter was unattended. After waiting a few minutes, we discussed with another customer, whether the place is even open -- and concluded, that it must be... The gentleman then tried to rouse somebody up, and succeeded. The worker (anything BUT neat in appearance) finally showed up, but -- instead of apologizing -- accosted him for trying to "get behind the counter". When he pointed out, that, if sanctity of the counter is a real concern, they shouldn't leave it unattended, she claimed, we all "should be grateful, they are open!" (that's a direct quote). That's an attitude I last experienced in the USSR! When I said, I lost my appetite -- and proceeded to walk away -- the other worker (yes, there were two!) got triggered into shouting obscenities... That it was "*ing petty" of me to be mean to the "two teenage girls" -- and that she feels sorry for my children and all that... As I started recording the hysterics with my phone, the worker (who later identified herself as "Sharon") grabbed the device from my hand and threw it on the floor -- while continuing with the foul language... As I picked it up, she kept trying to repeat the action, until I warned her, that I'll defend myself, if she lays a hand on me again... I don't want to continue the detailed description, but she did claim, that "the manager will review the recordings from the cameras and will not give an obscenity". I'm afraid, she is right -- the earlier complaint by April L. definitely shows a management failure. No worker, who thinks, her showing up to work is a "favor" to the customers, should have a job. Likewise, no one capable of cursing a customer should have a job -- certainly not a customer-facing one. The manager should be let go for not seeing this -- as well as for contributing to the obesity of a minor, because both "teenage girls", despite the tender age, already look like they are paid in donuts...
