You need to call it something else. Pizza is made in an oven, not a machine with a conveyer belt. You go through the troubles of hand preparing the dough, apply a decent sauce, good cheese & toppings and the machine wrecks your efforts and pumps out something that is not pizza. Ordered a pizza and salad here while passing through town. The pizza was very reasonably priced and delicious. I would have no issues or see rring pizza from here again. Salads are another story entirely. We asked if the side salad was a decent size or if we should go with the larger salad. We were told "it is really big, it will be enough". It arrived and we were shocked at how tiny it was. Only one other salad disappointed me more, which was literally two stalks of romaine lettuce with some grated parmesan over top. This "side salad" was maybe 20 tiny pieces of iceberg, a little shredded cheese, and a packet of croutons we added. To make things worse it was almost $5! Go here for pizza and skip the weak, overpriced salads for sure! read more

Great pizza experience while passing through town and staying at a local hotel. Ordered a large pizza and breadsticks with cheese- both delicious and piping hot, delivered in about 30 min right to my hotel room, with plates and napkins. Everything about the pizza was great- sauce, cheese, crust. I'd definitely recommend and would eat here again. read more

Good sauce Found myself in smalltown PA with a great hunger for something good. On yelp saw Momma Jjo's was given 5 stars by someone so decided to try it out. They had just opened not too long after we stepped in. The attendant politely showed us their specials and decided on a pepperoni and pineapple pizza with cinnamon sticks. It did not take long to make and we were on our way pizza and stix in hand. The Large pizza was quite a big portion. The toppings were not plentiful and the pineapples used were huge chunks like straight from a can. NO biggie, it all fit in my mouth and the sauce was a pleasant surprise. This is hands down the best local pizza place in town. Its relatively new to the area, family owned and operated. They have a wide variety of items on their menu to choose from. You cant go wrong with their "any amount of toppings " for $9.99 deal. What I love about the pizza is the amount of cheese they put on it. when you pick up a slice, the cheese just oozes off of it.... Take note of the sign in the window: It states any" speicalty " pizza is $9.99, um I think they meant specialty... haha ever hear of proof reading?? The thing this place has going for it is price - not in a bad way, I think the value was very good for what it is. The service was excellent. But it is not GREAT pizza. I would be interested in trying their Stromboli before passing final judgement. Being visitors to the area, we would first try other pizza locations nearby to compare before coming back. read more

I really love Momma Jo's pizza! I always get the veggie, and it's great every time. The garlic sauce they give you is really good too. At time of writing, a large pizza with unlimited toppings is $11.99, which is a decent value. This is my preferred pizza joint in town and a local business too. It's often difficult to find "THE" pizza restaurant that really stands out. Momma Jo's is one that not only stands out, but stands up against the fiercest competition without taking a fall. Momma Jo's Pizza is exactly what I would expect in the type of stand-out restaurant, and the brick-oven style cooking really puts a lot of authenticity into their pizzas. When we order our monster-sized pizza, it's very difficult to not go for another slice. We seldom have leftover pizza when we order from here, and I can't say enough about this place. The service is always wonderful, the pizza blows me away, and the speed to get the pizza home is always swift. If you are in Somerset and you are looking for good authentic pizza, you can never go wrong with Momma Jo's Pizza. We always try to get a pizza at least twice a month here, and we have never been dissatisfied with their food or service. Keep up the great work, guys!
