I really missed home my senior year of college, especially the fall foliage that is so unique to the Hudson Valley. Many of my friends were feeling particularly nostalgic that fall so we decided to do something autumnal to lift our spirits. One weekend we went to the Cider Mill-it came highly recommended by locals everywhere. I had no idea how much it would improve my mood! I LOVE that you can see the whole cider making process-it's magical. Even without a tour it's fun to just walk through and watch the machines at work. I also really enjoyed their extensive list of donuts. The one disappointment was that they did not have apple cider donuts; I mean it's called the Cider Mill, why not? This is a staple of every farm in the Hudson Valley so I was pretty disappointed. Their other donuts are still very good though-but start making those cider donuts! They also have a lot of different varieties of apples that I haven't seen in many other places so that was cool. It is also very kid friendly. Lots of little ones running around and just in general having a good time! It's a nice weekend excursion in the fall and a great place to just relax and enjoy the great outdoors as the seasons change. read more

I live in cleveland, but I always make plans to get candy apples when they are in season, especially the blue and red ones! They have gone up a little bit in the last few years, but I only have 2 a year so it is okay. read more

When I come up here to visit my girlfriends family we will try to remember to make a trip to the Cider Mill. The Cider is wonderful, the donuts are simple, classic flavors that are very delicious. These are cake batter style donuts, and so damn good. This time around we picked up a 1/2 of very berry pie. Really enjoyed the homemade taste and delicious flavor. Definitely recommend this place to someone visiting the area. Just be careful and don't stuff yourself too much! read more

Ahh the Cider Mill. Nostalgia at its best!! Whenever I'm back in the tri-cities area, I always stop by in the fall. The cider press beckons me as does their over priced gallons and donuts. Yes, their products are expensive. But they are made fresh! As a kid, I loved watching the apples being crushed and the donuts being flipped. And you've never truly eaten a candy apple until you've had one from the Cider Mill. They even come in blue and purple! Please stop by and support this local business! Fun little trip during the fall to bask in the autumn festivities. They have an area with pumpkins laying around if you want to buy or take pictures with. I think the main attractions are definitely their cider and donuts. I got 3 donuts and some cider just to try them out. The donuts weren't bad, and the cider was a little too sweet for me. read more

This place is awesome, they always have fresh doughnuts and fresh cider. It is family friendly and they also have their own merch. They have a small section where you can see how the cider is made which is pretty entertaining for all. They also have free samples of the cider before you buy which is very kind of them. They also have these giant cookie which I highly recommend getting they are baked to perfection( the m&m cookie were my favorite) the doughnuts are nice and sweet an fresh. They do take credit cards. I love this place, you get to watch them press fresh apple cider and they make donuts right in front of you as well. Around Halloween they also have unique flavored candy apples. The donuts are unbeatable, the people are friendly and helpful, and with the selection of apples they would have to be; there are so many that it would be hard to find your way around the different types without help from the staff. The only thing that gives me pause is that both the cider, and the strawberry-rhubarb pie I got there, were VERY sweet, with the cider almost tasting like apple juice and the pie losing a lot of the tart quality that makes that particular variety great. Very friendly place and cider is well worth the price. They have gallon sized cider and even single serve which was great for my breakfast on the way back to the airport. Donuts are fresh and you can watch them while they make both the cider and the donuts! Make sure you get there early if you want to watch them cooking. Bought donuts today. Man o man, these were the worst donuts ever. The coconut donuts sucked...nasty. The cider was terrible...moldy tasting. They started going down last year...this year is worst. We will never do business with with the Cider Mill again. I give it a 1 out 5 rating. read more

Due to the fact that the Cidermill has chosen to stab a knife into the heart of the Cidermill Playhouse by terminating its lease and choosing to go with short-term leases to other production companies and in effort to increase revenue, I find that I can no longer support them by purchasing cider and donuts from them as I have done for the last 20 years. I will be traveling to Green Brothers Apple Hills for my cider and donuts from now on. They actually taste better and are more reasonably priced as well! read more

I came to this place with my small kids on Sunday afternoon. What a disappointment. No donuts making or cider(I guess you have to come here early morning to see them on live). Sure the cinder tastes good but $10 for a gallon? Really? The donuts were okay The seating area was SO sad with literally just chairs and tables- looked like a community center in a bad neighborhood. I feel like this place used to be a great place to bring a family but they stopped trying because they can make money anyways. So sad. Go to Applegate Orchard in Owego instead. If you love Apples,Cider and fresh homemade Donuts then the Cider Mill in Endicott,NY is the place to go. I grew up in the area and every fall time I use to go there and get Candy Apples and freshly squeezed Apple Cider. They have 6 different flavors of candy apples, Blueberry,Grape, and Cherry are some examples. My favorite was the Blueberry !! They also made fresh Donuts daily. I loved just the plain flavor. On Halloween night, the Cider Mill would give out free Candy Apples to trick or treaters who showed up in costume. It was lot's of fun !! Prices are reasonable. However the only down fall for Cider Mill fans is that it is open seasonally, in the Fall. The rest of the year it is used as a theater for plays. But in early September it's back to pressing Apples and powdering sugar on the Donuts. I was back in Endicott this past fall and of course I had to stop in a but a variety of Candy Apples to go. This is a historical place for those who grew up in the area. I highly recommend the Cider Mill or anyone who wants to experience a taste of Fall. read more

I have been going to the cider mill for years but their ridiculous prices do not match the product they provide...$9 for a gallon of cider is more than twice as much as Wegmans cider costs; although the quality and taste of the cider is better than Wegmans, it is certainly not twice as good; and almost $9 for a dozen plain donuts??? I used to enjoy their cinnamon donuts but apparently $9 a dozen doesnt leave them with the profit to add hardly any cinnamon, so bad I thought they were plain sugar... read more

I've been going to the Cider Mill since I was a kid, and even though I don't live in the area anymore, I make sure to swing by during the fall when I'm in town. It's actually dinner and a show, as you can go around back to the theater for local productions, the kind that gets you right up in the action. There's the less literal show as well, when you can go up and watch either cider or donuts being made. The weekend is only the "classic" donuts, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and plain. I'll admit that I've never had any of the non-classic donuts, but the sugar one, especially fresh (I mean like right off the tray; it is worth noting that you can keep the ones you take home for a few days if you seal them up right away and are careful), is one of the best things I've ever consumed and why would I even want anything else. I will agree with a previous Yelper that they need to add apple cider donuts to the menu, but honestly, everything else is kinda perfect. Once you get into true apple season, I highly recommend browsing around outside in the bins of different apple varieties. read more

Slim pickings as of now. They had the candied apples, cookies, obviously cider and 3 different types of donuts. I couldn't find anything on their Facebook page about whether or not they'd have everything shown in most of their pictures. Apple crates and farm stand was empty. We did get there early enough to watch the donuts and cider being made and got a sample of the cider right off the press which was delicious. Despite not being fully stocked we will definitely be going back. It's a really neat place and the staff was very friendly. read more

Cider Mill makes delicious donuts (I'd skip the iced ones because the plain and sugar-dusted are just that good) and even though they are expensive, they are my second favorite (behind Country Wagon in Maine which sadly only offers them on weekends in the fall) in the area. i used to love this place but i'm kinda over it. the prices are getting too high when there's other places around here that are pretty much just as good. the make their own cider out of other people's apples, and while it's decent cider, Russell's out in Brackney/Choconut has been producing way better cider out of their own apples. the donuts here are only good when they're fresh and have a little bit of crispness to them, and when you're there on the weekends they amp up production so you may be getting donuts that lose a little bit of that texture, and there's really not much to the flavor of the donuts. the plain cake donuts at Manni's on the south side have a better flavor, and i've been super impressed with the donuts i've been getting lately at Russell's, i think those may be the best around. Cider Mill still makes really good candy apples, but their cookies and pies are just ok, and the pies definitely aren't made from scratch. they come in frozen and they just reheat them, so why not just go to a grocery store and buy a frozen pie and heat it up yourself for less money? this is a good place for a visit once or twice per year, but i no longer feel the need to be a regular here. read more
