My wife and I wanted some food so we decided to get this, I ordered a Buffalo chicken sub and my wife ordered a chefs salad and city chicken over the phone. Whoever was talking on the other end was unprofessional and didn't seem to care whatsoever. Then the food..., My sub was great, but my wife's city chicken which costs $3 for 3-4 small breaded spedies was dry and a bit over seasoned, and her salad was an embarrassment. Having worked in restaurants, it's obvious how much the staff cares by how good the salad quality is. Every. Single. Leaf. Has. Rust. On. It. Got take out because shellys is close to home. Giving two stars because their subs are legit good. I got a round pizza and two dozen wings for $19.99, which seemed like a good deal. Pizza is average and the boneless "wings" are the worst I've ever had. They were not crunchy and seemed like they came out of a microwave. Stringy consistency and just really, really bad. Shelley's has been around my whole life and I have recently "re" discovered it. It is seems to have pretty much stopped being a small grocery store like it used to be and is focusing on their deli and butcher shop. So as far as their deli goes, their subs are amazing. Funny how it is next door to a Subway...I have no idea why you would choose a subway sub over a quality deli sub. The staff is always friendly and you can call in your order ahead of time. read more

Amazing food! The workers in the daytime are really nice. Some of the gentlemen in the evening are not. They swear a lot in front of customers that are in the building and they give you dirty looks like you're a bother to come in and be a paying customer. read more

I always heard good things about Shelley's, so I went in a few months ago with a group of friends... and I won't be going back. Not even close to the quality people say it is. When we went in, we were often ignored by the staff, and it took forever to even get our orders in. The staff present weren't very personable and even came off as standoffish and rude if you tried asking them basic questions about what they had. The guy who took our orders basically made it clear that he wasn't in a good mood and that he didn't want to talk to us, which was very off-putting. (Side note: This wasn't the staff's fault, but the other patrons inside the store were incredibly rude and pushy, so I wouldn't recommend waiting inside if you have to go in.) It took over an hour to get our subs once we ordered. No joke. And there were only a few other people inside! We found out at one point that they actually forgot to start making one of the subs we ordered. After they brought our orders out, the staff wandered off and didn't bother to ring us up. I waited by the register for a good five minutes, and in the meantime, other customers came in, and the staff actually took their orders and rang them up while I stood there! When we finally got home and ate, the subs were disgusting. The ingredients in the hot subs were all overcooked (including some blackened spiedies in my one friend's sub) and the cold subs were sopping-wet messes that would crumble apart the second you tried to pick them up because they were so saturated. Ended up throwing most of mine out after forcing myself to wolf down some of it. They were basically all inedible. I guess the only silver lining is that the muffins I bought for the following morning were pretty good. But that couldn't save the experience. Never going back. Rude staff, ridiculous wait-times and terrible subs aren't worth it. I'm shocked by the good reviews, particularly of the subs. This was the single worst first impression I've ever had from anywhere and the food sucked, plain and simple. Never going back to Shelley's. read more

No matter what you get it is very delicious. I only have one complaint, I got a sub there and was very specific that no salt or pepper were to be on my sub and he loaded it. I told him the mishap and he rolled his eyes and said that it was only on the pickles. He took them off and ignored me when I tried to tel him it was still on the sub and I would like a new one. I never received a new sub and paid nearly $8 to throw my sub away because I could not eat it. Other than that, I love the food and I haven't found anything that I do not like. Shelly's is a hiden gem with great food and great customer service. Love the wings and pizza special. You have to try the hot sausage sub with peppers and onions, man makes my mouth water just thinging about it. Homade sausage! You just can't go wrong with anything you get here. read more
