City Golf is a great experience for beginners and pros and everything in between whether you're wanting to dodge the sun, the rain or just wanting to hone in on your skills. I took my husband there for his birthday and selected a bay for two people. This was our first time so we didn't really know what to expect. We picked a virtual course in Korea which was on the tougher side but still had a good time. The bay was semi private which was exactly what we wanted. The ball sets up automatically and upon each swing, it rolls down the side and another ball sets right up. You can also pause and take a look at your swing analysis. My husband always asks me what's wrong with his swing so this was perfect. You're able to see where the ball made contact, face angle, back spin, and all the analysis you can request for to make your next swing better. They offer custom club fitting and classes. If we didn't live so far away, this would be a good option to improve our game. Plenty of parking since it's inside the shopping center where HMart is at. Go up the escalator and you'll see it in the corner. Easy to find. Easy to park. No hassle experience. Great place to would come again if in the area. read more

The people who work there can be a pain in the ass. This morning they didn't want to give me the early bird discount because it was already 11:59 and I was in line at 11:50, he said the computer wouldn't let him because it was 12 as we were having the conversation. Last week I had a lesson and the people who worked there put us at the bay for about 47 minutes from the time I paid and when the bay shut down we just sat there and talked about the swing for the rest of the time. If they wanted an extra $10 to give us the full hour, they should've just asked me. The last thing I want during a lesson is to be interrupted. Such a cool place! I took my daughters here and they were stoked that they could watch themselves on the screen. The touch screen launch monitors are fairly easy to use and you can make just about any adjustment you can think of. My girls enjoyed tracking their performance. Great alternative to an outdoor range, especially now that it's getting colder. If we lived closer, we would be here all of the time! The space is very clean and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. The cost is $30 per hour or $15 for 30 minutes. They also offer packages and memberships. They are located inside of the City Center which is an indoor shopping center. You can park in the garage with validation. The range is super accessible and convenient. read more

Based on 1 visit in Dec 2023 It's really hard to rate this place. It really depends on who you are and what you are looking for. WEBSITE/RESERVATION It's fine. The website is true to reality, so that's good. The reservation system seems a little wonky. I couldn't seem to reserve anything more than a day out and it seems weird they make you choose a bay, instead of just showing what is available. I was looking for times on a Tuesday and I couldn't find any of the couple GC Quad bays available. Most of the bays utilize a tracking device that is I think a Korean company. PARKING I was there at 10 on a Tuesday. The parking is below the mall/building and the entrance is on the west side of the building. They validate, so don't forget. However, when I left the gate was open. There was plenty of parking. The mall is not fully occupied. Take the elevator to 2nd floor. STAFF I interacted with a couple gents, young Korean golf instructors. Both were really nice and helpful. The only issue is that if you want to discuss anything in depth, I found that neither had the English skills to do so (nor did I have the Korean skills). PRICE I was charged $25 for an hour even though the website indicated $30. The staff gave me 20 extra minutes that I didn't ask for. Very nice. BTW there is a count-down on the interface, so you can see exactly the time left. FACILITIES and EQUIPMENT It's extremely clean and sleek. The bays are mostly open and a little tight if it was full, but it wasn't. They have a little stool/sitting area at each bay. I like the giant screen interface behind you where you can do all kinds of things in relation to the data collected. It's easy to use and has a variety of options: video playback from down-the-line or face-on, all the swing data you'd expect, just like a Trackman or GC Quad. It's great for practice, I probably would prefer to use GC Quad if you were actually going to use the data for a fitting. I brought my PRGR because I saw a youtube review wherein a reviewer said that the device measured low on driver. PRGR has been tested and is extremely accurate, within a couple tenths of a GC Quad, and sure enough it was showing my swing speed anywhere from 1-5 mph slower than the PRGR. Once the PRGR showed 102 and the device showed 97. (My usual on-course is 103-105.) That's a big difference. That's 12.5 yards of carry assuming a good smash factor. I had a drive showing a 200 yard carry on an off center hit. I can assure you I haven't carried a driver 200 yards unless it was a literal mishit in a long time. This was maybe 8 mm heel. I carry my 4i that far. My driver carry on course is 245 minimum and I regularly hit balls 285 with roll. I think the longest drive the machine showed was 266. Even if I was swinging 97 mph, I should be getting over 260 with roll unless I had some terrible launch issue. However, with the irons, it was spot on, exactly what the PRGR says and what I experience on course. I have a feeling this issue has to do with the system, where you have to use balls with markings on the dimples and at high speeds it's less consistent. Not sure. The other issue I have is the video. I don't understand why it is so grainy and poor. Your phone takes far better slow motion video. These vids are exactly like the ones at Golftec 10 years ago. Weird angle and oddly low quality. The other issue is, the whole cool thing about hitting into a screen is to be able to change it. You can play a particular hole or actually play a course, but these you can't change it. This is a real weak spot. Imagine how much more fun it would be if you could play a course or a famous whole, which you can do on the usual indoor set-ups. CONCLUSION I know this review sounds negative, but I would def go back for a change of pace with practice and especially if I could get a GC Quad bay. I also want to try their putting bay. It's a nice practice environment with a fair price. I went there specifically to adjust my driver. To see how my launch angle, AoA and spin were effecting my distance, and not being able to use my ball (or a variety of balls) and seeing the speeds pretty far off, I found it only mildly helpful because the numbers just didn't seem consistent with what I've recently seen on GC Quad fitting and on the course and PRGR verified that. So the bottom line is, if you are going there just to practice and don't need super accurate numbers, the regular bays are great. However if you are trying to analyze data, esp with driver or you are high speed (I know the PGA makes us think high speed is 115+ but reality is if you are swinging over 100 you are higher speed than 95% of am golfers), make sure you get a GC Quad bay. The analysis video system is top of the line. It gives you all possible data , if you know hiw to analyze it! Even you can download your video in your USB and bring home to study even more, if you have time..;-) It is only 25$ per hour if you go before Noon. 30$ after noon.. I was having trouble with my swing and I decided to work on my swing. I ran into a coach at golf city name Steve. He said he could fix my swing. He bad mouthed my current coach and said my coach my a bandade and I needed surgery. He don't tell me how much the lesson was a proceeded. He coached me for just over an hour and ended up charging me 300 dollars. He made my swing worst and gave me more swing thoughts. I had a tough time understanding his English. Very rough. I understand every coach is different , but charging me 300 dollars without talking me was not acceptable read more

I went to The City Golf for its grand opening, so my review is long overdue. I picked up golf during the pandemic, and I wanted to improve my game. I took some lessons with a golf pro at my local range, and it wasn't my cup of tea. I'm in Koreatown frequently, so when I heard about a new golf facility that was opening, I decided to check it out, and I'm super glad that I did. The place is super clean, and has high tech amenities. The machine records and breaks down everything about your swing. Additionally, they have golf pros available to give you lessons in areas that you need help in. Being able to see in areas that I need improvement and then getting lessons is exactly what I wanted. Golf is all about your swing, so being able to see yourself is so helpful. Getting traditional lessons with a golf pro is fine, but you're missing such a big necessity of being able to see yourself, and you can't see exactly see yourself while you golf unless you're in front a mirror. In short, the facilities are terrific. You can get a great package deal on visits, and they have validated parking. As a regular, I highly recommend The City Golf. read more

My photo says it all. The place was totally empty after the four employees turned us away multiple times today insisting they were totally booked. The place was a ghost town when we asked and an hour later, it was the same. Had to drag my kids' three big bags up and down the parking structure for nothing. They continued to insist they were full even when their online reservations showed open stalls. Totally nonsensical and obnoxious waste of time. I guess these guys don't like money. A bit expensive for my taste but I definitely liked the ability to see your stats. My ball speed/total yardage was a bit inconsistent when I was using my driver since I'm hitting it 300+ yards with 125+ swing speed. So apparently if your driver/swing speed is going at that speed the cameras/equipment they have a hard time displaying the correct numbers. So one of the employees working there was kind enough to offer to hit in the solo bay since it was available. That bay has the more expensive trackman to track higher ball/swing speeds. Wow.. as a golfer in LA, this is a must go to place. Their launch monitor system is user friendly, and you can get all the data and even see your swing right away after each hit. It even shows slow mo video of where you hit the ball on the impact! (this is the coolest feature for sure) Price is good ($30/hr; they currently have early bird special for $20/hr). One of the coaches even helped me at no charge analyzing my swing. 2 hr free parking as well. read more
