Great and reasonably fast service, convenient, nice folks, fair price. Drive through!

I've been getting coupons forever and decades to use one. I had 5 shirts laundered at a cost of 62.00. How crazy is that. The young lady at the window explained that the coupon had to be presented at drop off. How crazy was that. They do a great job but only for the rich... Probably the worst customer service I've encountered. We dropped off 4 garments Tuesday with a request to pick up Thursday and of course with a "rush fee". I get a text on Wednesday stating that our pickup day is now Friday. I called and spoke to Melanie who gave me this sorry excuse that the "production email" they received was late and they couldn't get our dry cleaning done as they promised. Of course I asked why were we told it could be done by Thursday and she mentioned the "production email" again which has nothing to do with us! I picked up my garments and no apology or any form of trying to deliver anything by Thursday - when I walked in she said the owner said he would be happy to get our garments done by Friday! What part of we need them by Thursday did they not understand?! So if you are reading this review please don't waste your time like I did. Take your dry cleaning garments to Plaza Ladera Cleaning, you won't disappointed! They picked up the slack. You can read my review on them too. read more

Ruined my dress, however they bought it - but the customer service in person was the worst I've experienced. Girls were horribly mean, not apologetic and acted as if it was my fault. Jodie was able to issue me a refund and purchase the dress but the customer service at the Montaño store is awful. If I were management they would be gone! Would have returned if not for the horrible service I just received. Do better! -& Kurt - please feel free to review camera footage- I was not rude in slightest. I needed a bridesmaid dress cleaned after very dusty photo shoot in the Bosque. The dress was covered in dirt. But this company cleaned it perfectly. No one will ever be able to tell what it went through while I was traipsing near the Rio Grande. Excellent work! And it seems they always have specials going on. Convenient location as well. There was no urgency getting it cleaned either but they had it ready within a week or so. read more

Polyester Pants (dry cleaning and heavy starch) = $8.34 /per Polyester shirt (dry cleaning and heavy starch)= 7.93 I mean they do a great job, are on time, and are nice but this place charges double than what a usual dry cleaners costs. read more

I have never had better care of our clothes than I had at The Cleanery. Their prices are high, but the attention they pay to the quality of their work is impressive. The collars on my husband's shirts are held in place so beautifully with little stays that they are never crushed. The sleeves are held together which also keeps the pressing looking fresh. His suit jacket sleeves are stuffed with tissue paper and delivered on one of their substantial hangers with rounded ends. If price is a concern, this may not be the place for you, but I greatly appreciate the workmanship and the people who have delivered our garments. Absolutely despicable care and service. I made the mistake of not reading the reviews first and took my beautiful VERY expensive Michael Kors white wool coat to them because my cat had an accident on it. They later inform me that I need to sign a waiver because they will need to wet clean it to remove the urine and that there could be the POSSIBILITY of shrinkage. I said ok, I can work with slight shrinkage if that happens. When I go to pick it up, the fabric wasn't even the same quality anymore. My gold accents on the coat were now tarnished like a rusted copper. There were additional new black stains all on the front that weren't there when I dropped it off and of course, the coat did shrink and far more than they implied. When I brought it to their attention they said "well you signed the waiver". I double-checked the waiver and it only mentioned the possibility of shrinkage, not all of the other things I described above. Horrible customer service to blame their atrocities on the customer. It is very clear that my coat was thrown into the washer and dryer. There would be no other explanation for that level of damage done to my coat and it's clear that it's why they made me sign a waiver- they knew that they were going to secretly throw it in the washer/dryer and that it was going to shrink. Do not come here unless you want your clothes ruined. Do not learn the hard way and just trust me- do NOT come here. read more

The staff is very nice and diligent about reminding you that you have left items there. This is weird, the establishment did not smell like a traditional dry cleaners. Not that this should matter. The location was convenient, but definitely reflected in the price. My items were not exactly what I was expecting. I think they also have a pick up and drop off service. read more

I am not very pleased with this cleaning service. My husband and I have moved to the westside, and were on the hunt for a new dry cleaning service. I have been to The Cleanery twice, and have been very disappointed. The first time I dropped my husbands shirts off, they quoted me about $4.00 a shirt, because they apparently didn't need to be dry cleaned. In the end, they ended up dry cleaning one of them. Our ticket rang out at around $13.00 for two shirts. That's absolutely ridiculous. I dropped off a shirt of mine with some jewels on it to be cleaned about a week ago, and have just barely received the notification that it is ready for pick up. My one shirt they cleaned costs $10! The Cleanery has horrible prices and it isn't exactly special. It's a normal dry cleaning business with a fancy title. They also take a very long time to clean your clothing. At our normal dry cleaners on the east side, they charge $2.50 to dry clean a shirt. I feel absolutely ripped off and will not be returning to this cleaner. read more

I had a dust ruffle dry cleaned and it was completely ruined. There are streaks on the fabric and overall a terrible job. I am new here in Albuquerque and have had this item dry cleaned in the past back home. I would not recommend this establishment. Also, the bill for the job was outrageously expensive for a poor job. They WILL take the shirt off your back. Two women's shirts with no pleats, no special material. Nada. Just two women's shirts. The price? Priceless, I can assure you: $18. Really??? $9 a simple shirt. Not gonna happen. And if you are gonna hose me, don't make me wait 15 minutes by saving $$ and only scheduling one employee for a shift. Lame. Lame. Lame. And then the quality of the finished products? Fair, at best. Both the collars were not pressed properly (think mini Shar Pei but not cute.) Both shirts were stretched somewhat. I could list more but frankly, I've already lost enough money. One more thing: Don't forget they have the "Premium Service" available for your retail ripoff enjoyment. This is where you pay still even more and get even less. Ewww. Yeah. Sign me up. UPDATE: And.......it keeps getting better. I just wanted to try them ONE more time to make sure I was certain of what I was paying for: FOUR items. Simple. Nothing fancy again. No pleats. CLOSE TO $40. I happen to have had the horrible experience of running into the owner. He KNOWS and even is PROUD of the fact that they are THE HIGHEST PRICED dry cleaners. He has delivery service (for free), does this and that to the chemical process, is a "green" facility, and my personal favorite, and he makes NO bones about this, he pays his employees "a "good wage" so that they can have a "good living". I've lived in NYC, Chicago and LA, places with considerable higher costs of living and the dry cleaning costs are easily HALF of what they are at The "Drainery". There must be some castles owned by The Drainery employees that I am not aware of here in ABQ. Let me know if you find 'em. So, don't bring your clothes here to an unapologetic owner.....update your resumes and let him hire you. And he rattles off all the "extras" they provide. Doesn't matter. I can't tell the difference between what they do and what American Pride Cleaners does down the road (towards I-40). for only a FLAT fee of $3.00 per garment (and only $10 to hem something.). AND.....the owner UNAPOLOGETICALLY says he doesn't discount or offer coupons. Again, he says this with pride: "Nope. Not gonna do that". Wasn't that the business philosophy for IBM? Yeah.......thought so. Now that I have found a new, cheaper, and faster cleaners (I don't need designer plastic bags on my clothes, thank you.)----AMERICAN PRIDE---I won't need to waste anymore time on the likes of this ungrateful business owner. The pick up told me a time and then stood me up without calling to cancel. When I spoke to them, they said they would pick the item up the next day. The next day I got a call giving me a time that would not work for me. They are inflexible in working with a client and ended up hanging up on me as I was talking. They were rude. They didn't show up. They refused to work with me re: time for pick up. They hung up on me while I was talking. I don't know how they clean since their customer service was so bad I never got that far and won't with this company. read more

No stars for this place! I have a pair of designer jeans that I took to have hemmed (yes, I am under 5'3 and no designer pants are short enough). First go around, the hem did not even resemble a straight line. I am not a seamstress by day, but I can tell what is straight and what is not. I returned my pants to be done correctly. For $22, I would have hoped they were done above par. When I went back over a week later, I was told they were finished. I went to pick them up, and lo and behold, the alteration person they contract out to (no they do not do their hems in house) and I was told that was the best they could do. I was refunded my money, but not offered any other compensation for my time and trouble. AND no apology was given. My advice? Do it yourself, as if I would have, I would have not ruined a pair of designer jeans. As they did. read more
