GO HERE!!! Honestly enjoyed coming here more than most stores I've been to. Rosie was the best!!! I was looking for an outfit for a wedding and she really went above and beyond for me. She put pieces together for me so that I can try different styles on. She also handed me heels to to try on with my outfit even though she knew i wasn't getting heels. The service was amazing. Walked in with my wife and was greeted promptly and courteously, we helped by Arielle and she was an absolute jem. She was attentive, friendly, honest and just pleasant. Came in for one dress and walked out with 2. In reading reviews I see that fine people are harsh on the no photo policy and that this is all DTLA clothing marked up... If you want DTLA CLOTHING, GO TO DTLA. Take the 2 hour drive to pay 15 in parking and pay right about the same price. My mom and I randomly stopped in here because we saw some cute stuff on the sale rack outside. My mom found some really cute sweatpants that were 50% off, so we went inside to check out the store and buy the pants. It's a cute store with a vintage feel, and they have cute 50's style dresses and pin up girl clothing and also modern stuff too. The salesgirl (I did not get her name) was very sweet and greeted us nicely. My mom ended up buying two pairs of pants and we went on our way. When we got home, we realized that one of the pants was the wrong size. At the store, my mom had asked her for a specific size and she gave us the wrong one. I thought maybe it was a mistake and was mistagged, but it wasn't. This is just poor attention to detail. We were the only people in the store, so it wasn't like she was rushed or working fast. This is something that should always be double-checked when checking out a customer. So about an hour later, I came back to exchange the pants for my mom. She apologized for the mistake and went to the rack to get the correct size. She came to the cash register with the wrong size yet AGAIN. For this to happen TWICE is just unacceptable. It should not be that difficult to look at a tag and make sure you are giving your customer the correct size. When I told her it was the wrong size again, she said "we don't even carry that size" and I said, "well this is what the tag says so I don't know." She looked at the tag and didn't say anything. She then finally got me the correct size. I know that working in retail isn't always the easiest, but paying attention to detail is key, and double-checking, sometimes even triple-checking, might be necessary and is always better in the long run. Your customers will appreciate it too. read more

I've been meaning to write this post for a little while now. I was in need of a gift for a friend. I stopped by another boutique on Ventura Boulevard. There were several sales clerks working at the store. No one greeted me. One of them was out right rude to me. So I sat down the things that I was intending to buy and walked out. As soon as I walked in the doors at Varga I was greeted. The sales clerk asked me if I was shopping for anything special. She helped me pick out something for my friend. Their clothes are super cute. They were having a sale so I bought something for myself also. I believe the lady who waited on me is also the store manager. She was so nice to me. A beautiful human inside and out. For now on VARGA will be my go to place. read more

Varga has been dressing me for about 10 years. I love their style and have followed their shop all over LA. Their clothes are modern, cute, well made, affordable, and fit my curves which is very important to me. There are very few stores I can go to and find many things that look and fit great. I like the valley shop because it has a large variety of clothes. The sales reps are very helpful and friendly without being overbearing. I hope Varga stays around forever! read more

I wanted to give your store 5 stars for the costumer service, store concept and heart-warming cuteness of the design. Unfortunately I have to downgrade because I realized not everyone has a good experience in your store. My friend is plus-sized and typically pin-up vintage dress sizes flatter plus-sizes and busty women so well, so we were excited to shop here. However, the dresses only went to L and didn't seem to accommodate anywhere up of a 38C cup. I just hope you consider offering more variety in the sizing, so that a wonderful day at the mall doesn't turn into such a sad let-down. The average size American women is 16. When we asked about larger sizes, the clerk seemed really puzzled, as if that had never been asked before. That also didn't help. Otherwise everyone was incredibly friendly and I found things I liked. I just thought I'd let you know, because I bet most people who are affected, don't end up letting you know about it. read more

It's easy to pass by this boutique and dismiss it for its heavy 1950s influence, you know the Betty Page and Marilyn and Minnie Mouse type dresses. But they have so MUCH MORE! The rest of the clothing perhaps the majority is not period piecey but is flirty and feminine and flattering and reasonably priced. Today's sales associate was friendly and helpful and I left with a beautiful new garment. Had to stop myself from going on a full spree in there! Will for sure be back! read more

Adorable clothes with a vintage vibe. Unfortunately, though, they have very limited sizes. I found two adorable cardigans, and the prices were very reasonable. Similar styles - but much more affordable - than the Pin Up boutique in Burbank. I really loved the dresses and would have bought a couple, but they are sized very, very small in the ... ahem ... "top" area. This is why only 4 stars: the sizes only go up to a woman's Large, and even many of the large dresses won't zip over a size 38 chest. The sales clerk, Shannon, was very helpful! But I would urge the owners to take into consideration that there are a lot of curvy girls out here! read more

I washed my shirt in the washing machine (nothing in tag said that it was non machinewashable) and the straps broke off. BOTH DID. It was a light laundry day and both of the straps just tore off. This was one of their exclusive formal shirts (they have like 5 different colors of the same design). I paid so much money for a shirt here for it to be ruined by a wash and had nothing that said hand wash on? Waste of money. read more

Most horrible customer service ever and this is so sad to say because I used to LOVE Varga. I bought a bunch of their dresses all the time and told all my friends about the store and posted pics of my dresses all over social media. A few months ago there was a dress I wanted and they did not have my size in stock so they called the other Varga location. So far so good, right? They told me the dress would be there on a specific day so I showed up then. Not only was the dress not there, but no one bothered to call me so I wasted my time driving all the way to Woodland Hills. The dress finally came in a week later and they said that for the inconvenience, they would give me a discount on my next purchase. Not even on THAT dress... but on my next order? I didn't shop their for awhile because I was so irritated ..and then the other day I thought I would let my grudge subside and use the customer service discount they had told me I would get which would be in their "system." When they looked me up , no such record of the discount was on my file (they can look you up by your phone number) So the employee calls the owner and explains the situation and the owner just says, "No". I have given this store so much business and was totally disgusted by this. Looks like the owner and the employees don't know how to treat their customers. While I liked a lot of their clothes before, poor customer service is total turn off. read more

Clothes are cute but the customer service is rude. I'm 28 yo I went in with my teenage cousins who were visiting me over the holiday. The girl was busy ringing someone up so she didn't acknowledged us right away, I didn't mind I'm in retail also I can understand wanting to finish with the person in front of you. So my cousins were about the take a selfie and I wanted in on it. Apparently we laughed too loud because that when the sales associate asked us we needed any help. It was my fault for saying 'we good thanks, just messing around' but what she replied with was not necessary 'okay I'll give you guys 30 minutes to 'mess around' and then if you're not buying anything you have to leave.' I did not respond to that. We continued on with our selfie, we should have left after that but I did want to shop so I found a couple things to try on and since the associate wasn't really paying us mind I was going to help myself to a fitting room, the associate called to me across the floor to go the the room on the left. We were the only 3 people there and all the fitting rooms were available. The only reason I can think of to have me go into that particular fitting room was so that she could keep an eye on me from the register. She was unbelievably rude. I've never been treated like that at a store. I should have walked out and not buy anything but my cousin liked one of their little trinkets and I liked the items in my hand and did buy all three things. And it was only when we were obviously going to buy something that the associate tried to be nice to us. However, bring in retail, you should be nice to people who are in your store regardless of if they buy anything or not. I bought something this time but I don't know if I would ever go back to that store. Especially with visiting friends or family. It just tainted this cute outfit I got from there and the experience with my family. read more
