Clearly not a personalized reply but no surprise for a retail business that is "un-service" oriented to their customers. Original Review: I came on a Sunday in which they are supposed to open at 11 AM. Another woman was also waiting outside the store in front of me with a child in a stroller, trying to stay out of the hot sun. You can see through the windows that there were two women inside the store who could clearly see we were waiting. They did not open the store on time/didn't open till about 10 minutes late. When I went in, I was not addressed, not even a "hello", even though both glanced at me. It appeared possibly one was training the other however, for me, first rule of thumb in retail is excellent customer service. I had a return and wanted to look for a different shirt, but I felt completely unwelcomed. When the associate processed my return, there was still no greeting (just, "you have a return?) and no smile. Her demeanor was cold and "un-service" oriented. This experience has kept me from returning to shop in-store (which is my preference!) or making further online purchases as this is the closest store to me to make returns if needed. I was initially excited to learn this store existed after moving back into Ventura County, however, the "zero-customer service" demeanor of the "new" associate and no concern in opening on-time, I will no longer be shopping with Chico's either Online or in-store.

The stores are limited to Southern California; so, when I first moved to Los Angeles and began to explore (shopping is an activity that I just can't help but do everyday, whether I had it in mind to do or I had a full day in my "planner" ...actually, back in 2007, I did have a big "At-a-Glance" planner with an entire page per day... Anyway, I stumbled upon the Calabasas Commons because I had looked up in that app, "Around Me" and found that close to one of my three jobs I worked while going to School for my Doctorate, the Calabasas Commons was on my way home from work to where I lived in West Hollywood. I stopped by right away because it mentioned a Barnes & Noble being one of the stores there. First, I spotted M. Fredrick. I saw those gorgeous, hand-picked by their buyer. I didn't realize quite how much less expensive ever was in LA compared to San Francisco. Now, this many years later, it's no longer a thought nor a thing because I've lived here so long, but it was astonishing to me back when I was freshly 22. I picked out about 20-25 pieces of the most beautiful jeans, sweaters, shirts, shoes, tank tops and dresses. I also bought a pair of sweatpants that felt like thick silk, but mostly, like a white tiger- they were the first thing I bought the next morning on my break from work; so, I vividly remember that they were $600 before tax, which, to be honest, I did think they were on the pricey side, but I didn't think of it again. The many items I had purchased the afternoon prior came to almost $23,000, but I never ever in my life looked at prices of anything, so, it was no thing and to this day, I remember probably 7/8ths of what I bought. The clothes were definitely worth it and I would do it again, even now. The only problem is that they don't make clothes how they used to. We don't have the materials or aren't willing to use them on designer boutique clothing. Every chance I could, I went to an M. Fredric store for the next 10 years.

What a pleasant surprise! They have a store in Encino which I frequently visit and one day as I was running errands in Calabasas I came across Blush. Of course, I didn't put two and two together until I saw the prices and the owner, Sherry. It was the same awesome store in Encino! One salesgirl, Elaine I think her name was, SO helpful and so sweet. She helped me pick a great outfit for my recent trip to San Fransisco. Needless to say, I got non-stop compliments! This store is awesome as it's in the COURTYARD of the Commons, next to Subway and Wells Fargo. It's one of the best stores in Calabasas, as every other store I've seen was just insanely expensive and had limited variety. Blush gets in 40 styles a week and nothing is over $100! Obviously it's easy to see why one would get excited about stumbling in... If you haven't check this place out you must!! I bought 3 tops, 2 pairs of jeans ($56 each!), and 2 necklaces and a pair of earrings for $250, and by doing so, I got 25.00 onto my Blush card which means....next week when I visit I get that taken off my purchase, or...I can always accumulate it, but I'm impulsive!!! hahaha You must visit Blush Boutique! read more

I have been shopping at Blush for the last year and a half since I moved back to the Calabasas area and I absolutely love it! The clothes are well picked by the buyer to fit easily, be priced reasonably, and be really cute (I always get compliments on the sweaters i pick up there!) Casual stuff that can be dressed up with a few accessories..... i go in pretty much once a month and walk out with at least 2 or 3 items and that usually averages abut a hundred bucks. Blush is a fantastic boutique. I try to go in at least once every 2 weeks because they get new merchandise in all the time. The customer service is above and beyond. I washed it one time. The zipper broke. On a zip hoodie, that's the whole garment. I can't wear it, and it isn't something I can fix myself. I didn't want to make this a thing. I called, I emailed, and I used the live chat, and each time I asked whether there was anything you could do -- a repair, a replacement zipper, a tailor you work with, anything at all. The answer was no every time. Nobody offered me a case number or a next step. I understand that a zipper can fail. Manufacturing isn't perfect and I wasn't expecting perfection. What I was expecting was that when something goes wrong in the first week on a $200 piece, the company that made it would want to make it right. That's what the price is supposed to mean. The hard part isn't the money. It's that every time I see it hanging in my closet I think about my sister spending more than she should have, on something I can't wear, from a company that wouldn't help. I'd rather she'd bought me a $40 hoodie that worked.
