Not gonna lie- needed a beer break after a heckuva day at work- my colleagues strongly recommended Pints - so here I am! Though it was a bit warm out, I thought A/C would be good - but man! I was seated quickly in the bar but the noise- the noise! Pushed us to a covered patio outside- a much better choice! I quickly ordered a flight of beers and a gringo-ized Taco Salad. Man, that beer hit the spot! I added some guac to the ground beef taco salad, piled on a medium spicy salsa and went to town on it! Nice. Ok - the service was just fine. And they used my beloved portable terminals to allow payment at the table - but they had small print adding a 3% fee (on top of a 3% credit card fee)! Not cool. Doesn't matter if they say they would remove it - just tacky. Raise menu prices please. You're not an airline. Don't nickel and dime your customers, please. Otherwise? A very nice place- read more

Pints is one of our favorite local spots. The beer list is excellent, and seeing Allagash on draft, our favorite, is always a treat. The food is consistently delicious, especially the burgers, cheese curds, and blackened chicken Caesar wrap. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming with great beer garden style seating and plenty of TVs near the bar, where we usually sit. Service is always friendly and efficient, and Elisa, our usual bartender, is outstanding. She is attentive, personable, and makes every visit feel easy and enjoyable. Stopped in for a quick bite on a Saturday night. Got seated right away didn't seem too crazy with the outdoor seating. Waited for like 5 minutes and then got our water and coke. Couldn't really have a conversation with my partner when there was kids screaming their brains out with their parents. I guess no self control, it was annoying. For food we ordered buffalo wings with ranch 4/10, barely any sauce it was dried up. The meat was okay but still kind of dry. Ranch was good but didn't bother with the veggies on the side. Fries were okay nothing too crazy. Did have a weird aftertaste though. Veggie burger 4/10, I wouldn't say I had high expectations because it was a sports bar but I expected something better. When it came out after 25 minutes of waiting it looked good. I cut it in half to make it easier to eat and it was like gliding off which I was confused. Took a bite and it started falling apart. It was like mush. It grossed me out and made me lose my appetite. The other ingredients were good. My fries were good but also weird aftertaste. Food was good. Drinks were good. Don't expect to play music because of the owner doesn't like it it will be skipped and you won't be compensated. The first song we played was semi inappropriate which was fine to skip but because we played a country sound following up and it "didn't fit the vibe" our song was skipped without compensation. Our friend arrived here at 4:35pm (Friday 6-20) and got the 3 of us waters. My wife and I arrived at 4:38 and not a single employee acknowledged us until my wife waved down the bartender at 5:58. It's a little frustrating especially when there's 2-3 people behind the bar and another employee sitting at a table and not one of them came to us. There was maybe 5-6 other people in the entire place. We spend a lot of money here but after this my wife and I will not be returning any time soon. Recently came to the Pint to watch college Saturday football. Let's start with the positive We ordered the Nachos and they were delicious however we ordered the Guacamole as extra and were not aware it would be included in a small dental cup instead in the nachos. However, the nachos were delicious and would recommend. Skip the extras as it's not worth it. We ordered the wings - they were also delicious, 8 comes with the order and pretty hearty. The bar is beautiful and the TVs are spaced out perfect to watch any game which was amazing. The beer selection is amazing and several to choose from. The Cinnamon Prost by old Irving brewery is delicious and definitely recommend. Here is the opportunity for improvement - service Unfortunately it fell short here and they had a full staff and for Saturday a decent crowd however our server rarely checked on us and honestly I was super disappointed by that. We tried to engage and be polite to see if her attitude would change and nope nothing. I am Empathetic that it's difficult to find great staff and maybe she was having a rough afternoon. Also, to be polite I informed them that the soda was flat just so they can check on their soda machine and the server could Careless. I got another glass just as flat. From a price point perspective it was okay - 2 beers, a coke, one order of Nachos and order 8 wings the total was 58 bucks which isn't bad but the service should be solid. This place was the "big miss" on our 4 day visit to the Chicago area. There were 6 of us who visited around 3:30pm on a Sunday. So we ordered 2 appetizer, 6 entrees. Lots of variety. It was linked to the tv that was, in theory, showing a basketball game, but was more like 50% commercials/50% game.... It was so unbelievably loud we had to cover our ears and shout across the table. We asked our waitress to please turn down the tv, and she said she'd try, but then came back 5-10 minutes later to say there was nothing she could do about it. We didn't even finish our drinks. When I want a burger, Pints is usually my go-to. The last two times I've been there have been disappointing. the burger is beautiful, dressed perfectly as ordered, but it's so dry it's a turn off. I think it was overcooked from the medium I ordered (not a pink spot visible) or just not enough fat in their mixture. When you have to order extra ketchup to dip your burger in to alleviate the dryness that's not a good thing. Our server was great, food didn't take too long and plenty of sports (at a reasonable volume) on the television. I'm thinking I'll try again and if it's well done and dry, I'll send it back. read more

Came here over the weekend on a 1st date, they were slammed (big shock, it was spring break after all), we were seated pretty quickly all things considered, and our server (the only on on staff that night) was very attentive and quick to bring us our food and drinks, the atmosphere was a little divey and college-bar-y, but it's in a great area in downtown Elmhurst and it wouldn't be a bad place to start or end a night. 16OZ TO FREEDOM There's beer on tap and Sublime in the digital jukebox at this Elmhurst sports bar. Meeting Jason K and Nichole C after work one evening seemed like a good idea, and it turned out to be just that. We missed the happy hour cutoff by just a few minutes, but prices for beer weren't all that bad to begin with ($5 to $7 a pint). The nachos ($12) were terrific; they chips came loaded with plenty of bbq pulled pork, diced tomato, cheddar jack cheese, sour cream and green onions for color. We got tasty guacamole as an add-on ($2 extra, worth it) and a small cup of jalapeños. Nichole's macaroni ($8) wasn't the cheesiest, but the cavatappi pasta tasted great with bacon ($2 extra, again, worth it). Jason's 'Pints burger' ($15) had it all: pulled pork, a fried egg, crispy onion strings, pickle chips, and bacon on an angus beef patty served with tots! I got the sampler ($15) which included quesadillas, sriracha wings, cheese curds, and o-rings with sides of bbq and ranch. The wings weren't the greatest and it was more expensive than I expected, though it was still a nice assortment of unhealthy food :) Bread = 4 Circuses = 4.5 It was fairly busy on a weeknight, but we received help shortly after sitting down. They had a "12 beers of xmas" promotion going on which was kinda fun. One darker brew even came with a brownie bite on the side! Our server was attentive the whole time we were there.
