Probably one of the largest coaches I have ever been in, they have tons of selections, colors, and items period to choose from. Most of the time coach outlets aren't really an outlet but the sales today were incredible. I got these boots for a little over $100 when they were originally $445. Best of all, military discount. I'm glad they're one of the places that offers one, especially with how high the prices can be. Customer service was great & even though the line was long, it moved quickly. read more

I visit the San Marcos Outlet Malls occasionally due to it's proximity to the ranch over in Driftwood. Few stores I like; one that I frequented went under last year that really had my ultimate goal in fashion. Anywho, I do shop for the wifey while I'm selecting ghetto clothing for myself. Recently picked out a small billfold and a pair of sunglasses in the complex to surprise her. I usually replace my wallet once a year. But, that also presents a problem. Walk into Coach at Barton Creek Mall in Austin, Texas and the men's section is about the size of a bread box. Same with Dooney and Bourke. At the famous Louis Vuitton in the Houston Galleria you get a stylish filing cabinet drawer full of $700 options! Enter the Coach Factory Outlet; and a huge section dedicated to MEN! Backpacks, shoes, wallets, and a variety of other leather good. The staff was handing out coupons that day making $200 wallets for about $50. On this day, I didn't find a style that I was in love with. I will return to check out the selections again. Friendly staff, and excellent value for money over full retail. UPDATE: Judy is a true gem in customer service. I returned a few days later to purchase a jacket for the wife and a wallet for myself. While she couldn't find the wallet (showed 1 in stock); I picked up the jacket and matching purse plus a belt for myself. Buying at the outlet, I saved $894 over retail. My name is Leena and I have a Coach addiction. I do, I do, I do! I've only been to this outlet twice and I bought a purse both times :) They have great sales and coupons. There was 50% off all clearance purses plus a coupon for 30% plus 10% so my $289 bag ended up being $98 (including tax) - WIN!WIN!WIN! The staff was really helpful. There is normally a few of them standing around with calculators. I was helped by Brandon and he was so very nice and sweet. There may be a short line but be patient. I do love Coach bags and I do think the staff at this store is friendly but they are absolutely the most unhelpful people on earth. I had a bag that the lining tore after 3-4 uses. I took it in and told them I needed it replaced. They insisted on sending it off to the repair center (at my expense of course-some warranty). 6 weeks later, I get a letter telling me the bag couldn't be fixed (which I told the people at the counter but they insisted on sending it off). They told me to take in my letter and use it as a gift certificate. I was passing through San Marcos yesterday and wanted to use my credit but didn't have the letter with me. They assured me they could call and get the information. When they went to call, the Head Quarters was closed. They were nice enough to offer to ship my new purchase to me for free and allow me to go home and find the letter so I could complete the transaction. One question: Why on earth aren't they just using gift cards like everyone else??? When I called today to take care of this, they tell me I can't do a phone order-even though I witnessed them doing it yesterday. After asking for a manager, I get an assistant manager. I explain the situation, she says, "let me go get the manager." Um, I'm pretty sure I already asked for a MANAGER!!!! Sat on hold for over 10 minutes then had to call back and ask for a manager again to which the assitant manager replied, "you want the STORE manager?" Is there another kind!?!?!?! The manager did finally come to the store and was not sympathetic to the B.S. I've been dealing with but agreed to help me over the phone. The bag should be here in a few days. He did offer me an additional 10% above and beyond the great sale they were already having, which I very much appreciated but after all the annoyance and irritation, I don't feel like this was over compensation. The customer service just sucks here and while they will attempt to help you with a pleasant attitude, they still aren't helpful. Each employee seems to have different information regarding repairs, refunds, and order-not good for any company. They are in the business of sales, period. This is a great place to shop unless you have an issue with their 100% "guaranteed" bags. Then you are in trouble because you will have to fight to cash in that warranty. The guarantee is really in place to make you feel like you're getting a high-quality product (which you are) with an awesome warrant (which it's not). I would have been much happier to have been given a check since they repair department obviously knew how much I paid with tax, they should give you your money back or a replacement-YOUR choice. Bottom line: You have to decide if the discount is worth it. read more

Yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes yes. Ohhh, yes! I stumbled onto this outlet store quite by accident, as it was located directly next door to the kitchen store that my husband wanted to check out. I was elated to be set free inside, and from the moment I crossed the threshold, I was in this world's version of heaven. Lovely associates opened their arms to me and ushered me to the walls of beautiful bags. Someone was always nearby to help, and the prices were delicious. I had no idea that I'd been contemplating the entire store for almost an hour until my husband walked in, horrified that I was holding three different purses, all about the size of my head. I assure you, the prices are worth the drive, and even I went home with a purse and a wristlet. I intend to go back very, very soon! read more

This location is much bigger than the one in Round Rock. It also has purses I didn't see in the other store. My friend was looking for a specific style and I was able to find it here. If they have a coupon, there is someone handing it to you as you walk through the door now. (I used to have to print the coupons and it uses a lot of ink.) Hello Heaven! I walk in to be greeted with a 50% off checkout total coupon at the door! Even that was something hubby could get excited over too. The selection was great in spite of there being about 800,000 people crammed into the store (I just happened to go on a holiday weekend). The staff was super helpful. I had two clerks offer me help and were very attentive. The only problem they couldn't solve for me was how many bags to get! At 50% off, you couldn't only get one, right!? The us a wide selection of handbags, clutches, tablet cases, luggage, men's accessories, scarves, belts, etc. In spite of all the people, the checkout lines moved quickly and it was a pleasant and successful endeavor (hubby didn't quite think so, he finally gave up and went outside to wait). read more

Okay, so today was fun at the coach outlet store! I went to go look to see if there was a matching wallet to match the purse that I was given for Christmas. I did not find the exact match, but did find the color I was looking for. The reason for 1 star was not the price or the selection, but rather the customer service experience. Granted I went totally dressed down and looked out of place, but never have I ever been treated there the way I was today. Now, in my lifetime I have experienced profiling before, but today was ridiculous! I did have a few customer service people ask if they could help, and I actually did ask one and she was helpful. As I was browsing around the store. There were a lot of customers looking through the product storage drawers, because some colors in stock seemed to be out of stock on the tables and placed away, and I felt it was no biggie if I did also. There was a specific color I was looking for, this was how I found the color of wallet I was looking for that was not stocked out on top, I went to clearance to see if I could find a few things as gifts, there was a drawer a little opened in that section, and something in a pretty color caught my eye. WOW I was surprised by the customer representative in the clearance section, she made a beeline for me, she asked me about eight times in a row if she could help me, and I told her no, That I was just looking and that something had caught my eye, but that It wasn't what I was looking for. She then said that I wasn't supposed to be looking in those drawers, and I mentioned that other people had and that I found it very interesting that out of everyone at the store looking trough the drawers, I was the only one that she said anything to. I mentioned that out of the entire store she was the only representative that had said that I could not look in the drawers and that I found that very interesting. I continued to look through the store and walked away as she kept talking under her breath. I continued to look at the small gifts around in that section, then I noticed through the corner of my eye that she went back to the drawer that I had briefly opened and was looking inside moving things around. I understand people steal, but really there was no need for her to overreact. I got in line made my purchase. And left. She should have been hired as security and not customer service, since she did not have the appropriate skills, another rep came up to speak to her. So I had purchased a lanyard here in October and it was leather and gorgeous. Fast forward to about a month ago, it starts fraying and comes apart. I felt rage in my heart because dude no. So I come back today, to replace it and I casually mention the lanyard issue and the women were so appalled, they immediately replaced it when they found me in the system. I didn't even have a receipt but that was no issue. The Coach Factory Store is like the "Ross" of "Coach." You never know what will be in the store. Sometimes, there's nothing in there that quite catches your fancy and sometimes your finds are so amazing (great quality at well reduced prices) that your shopper's "O" makes the Herbal Essence girl look virginal. I stop by Coach every time I happen to be in the area. Often, I walk out of the store with nothing but I still have fond memories of the day I found a limited edition leather-weaved Coach purse, a gorgeous black leather Coach purse, and a logo travel bag all in one day. There are, however, downsides about the store. The service is not very good if something goes wrong (but pretty decent if there isn't a problem) and some outlet store items are probably there for a reason. Last week, I was in the San Antonio/Austin area on business so I stopped by San Marcos (as usual). I bought a gorgeous wallet for slightly under $80. I showed it to my coworkers and convinced them to all take a trip to San Marcos Outlet with me on the weekend. During the drive there, I started putting things in the wallet and noticed a major design flaw: the clasp would not close if anything more than a few credit cards was placed in the wallet and the cash compartment was an unusual square shape rather than rectangular. Not only did the wallet not close after only 5 credit cards but all money had to be folded to fit into the square department, making the wallet even more bulky and unusable. Because I did not plan to return the wallet, I did not have the receipt with me (I had left it at the hotel). Coach honored the return but only refunded it with a store credit at the lowest possible price. The lowest possible price happened to be the day I returned the item rather than all days prior (even though the cashier admitted that it was more expensive previously and I was there only 2 days before and knew who assisted me on the floor and who rung me up). It was disappointed taking a loss two days later for a wallet I couldn't use. On the plane ride home, I later wondered "Would Coach have honored the return at a non-factory outlet with the receipt?" Despite my being obviously upset about the circumstances, no one offered that as a solution so I don't know . . . read more

On Saturday I went to the coach outlet store in San Marcos. I had received an email about a sale that said it was good in stores. When I arrived I was given a flyer with a different sale. I asked about my email and was told it was online only. I pointed out that it said in store and online and was then told it was expired and ended the day before. I showed them that the sale ended January 2nd. The two girls that kept giving me excuse after excuse then said that only the instore flyer would work and then turned their backs on me and ignored me standing there with my phone. Upset I still walked around the store seeing if the purse I wanted was even there. I found it and the price online was cheaper. I asked another girl about why there was a price difference and why my email offer wasn't any good. Again I was told it was a sale offered online only despite what the email said and then that it was an expired offer. I asked for a manager and got a lead of some sort. After going through the entire song and dance again I point blank asked if they would honor the online price or if would have to order it online. This person took the bags from my hands and physically placed them back on the shelf and said I'd have to buy them online then. Never have I ever had this bad of an experience at any store ever. I left your store in tears and cried as I walked out to my car. I called my sister who was appalled and she helped calm me down. I have already unsubscribed from all of the emails and unfollowed coach on social media. I will not ever purchase another one of your bags because of the staff at this store and the managers overseeing this store should be made aware of it. I am sure I am not the only customer to be blown off and treated this way. read more

Most of the handbags in this store were created just for the outlets and are not the quality that you are accustomed to if you shop in their boutiques or online. If it doesn't come with a dust bag then it was made for only the outlet. I've seen a few bags that are at the very front on the wall to the left that were boutique real Coaches. The rest is outlet crap. The store has lots of things like contact lens cases, wallets, wristlets, etc. some of this stuff is boutique quality but just didn't sell and some of it isn't. I know their line well and can't stand to walk into a store and see lots and lots of bags that are not Coach quality and never saw the inside of a boutique, department store, and certainly never appeared online and weren't made to. This store is there to cater to people who want the name on the bag but have no idea that they aren't the bags that the true Coach fiends carry. I'll stick with the department stores and boutiques thank you. Outlet stores are a rip off. Once you see that you will not go back. read more

The Coach outlet definitely has great deals but be aware that the outlet quality is different from retail Coach bags! A store member told me this information, that the retail bags are more expensive and located in the back of the store. I bought an outlet bag for $200 only to go home and find the zipper pocket was hot glued together :( Pretty disappointing. read more
