I was craving good middle eastern stew so went there for the Moroccan Fish. It didn't disappoint! The fish was flaky, the tomato sauce was spicy and the side green pepper was a perfect complement, The bread was so good I had to actively stop eating it and dipping it in the sauce. I'd totally get it again. Service was efficient. It's in the top floor of the mall so may patrons had shopping bags and had a casual feel.
Visited the brickell location and it did not disappoint!! We went for lunch and I got the chicken shawarma bowl, it was so good!! The chicken is so flavorful and I love the veggies that it comes with!!! Overall 10/10 food choice!! Our server was very nice and attentive and we had a good meal here!
Went here for their happy hours but missed it, they changed to new hours. Still got the hummus and falafel to share, and a beer. We sat at outdoor, it's mid March, it's pretty cool and not hot. Our Serbian server/ manager (didn't get his name), is very friendly and welcoming. Both hummus, the bread that comes with it and the falafel are all delicious. Solid 8/10. I feel like this is a great spot for vegetarians because their vegetarian dishes are so flavourful already. Looking forward to try their meat dishes next time, the bread is really good, love the texture and the right amount of burnt/ grill?
Food so good I forgot to take pictures. I will never say a bad thing about Motek - the vibe is so cute, the food is exceptional and I always have great service. My friend and I tried to grab a seat for happy hour but weren't able to (it's only star bar and high tops) but we opted to come back a few hours later for a full meal. I will never not order the traditional hummus and pita. This time, we also tried the Moroccan cigars and crispy pita. Previously, I also love the cabbage salad, any of their flatbreads and the the other dips/spreads they have. YUM. I will definitely be back!
Mediterranean@ Brickell City center, Miami The restaurant was very large with a nice vibe with indoor and outdoor seatings. We were able to get in without reservation for Thursday nite dinner. The hostess and our server were friendly. All the dishes we ordered tasted really delicious! The babaganoush tasted great with hot grilled pita bread. The fennel pomegranate salad was tasty with feta cheese. Enjoyed middle eastern dumplings with the white sauce and crispy cauliflower was sweet and savory. The Turkish lamb kebab was cooked just right with a grilled vegetables. The award winning arayes burger was very unique. We initially had to ask for the plates to be changed but after that they paid more attention to us. 20% service charge was automatically included. We enjoyed our dinner very much.
I came here today to quality control the menu for an upcoming high end dinner I am planning. I was very impressed with the amazing service and attention that my server Ilyan provided me with. I ordered the Za'atar Greek salad that was phenomenal. The vegetables were so fresh and the salad dressing was super tasty! The presentation was very appealing to the eye. Last but not least the ambiance was exceptionally beautiful! I will be back very soon to enjoy a nice dinner here!
I really like Motek, it's a beautiful restaurant but being in the city center creates a little bit of chaos. It's a lot going on around you but the actual restaurant is really nice. The Halloumi Dates and cheese really explored a different taste pallet giving an explosion of unique flavors in every bite. I had the lamb shawarma plate and it was great, I tried the Arayes burger which was really good and didn't disappoint. My co worker had the Waygu burger which he said was really good. All in all it's a great spot, I would rather the regular restaurants that aren't in the mall because it feels almost like a food court and I don't think Motek and food court go together. Highly recommend giving them a try....
We found this place by accident and it was a wonderful experience. The vibe is pretty and chill. The inside is amazing and very photo friendly, the service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend! We got the chicken Shawarma sandwich, and the chicken Shawarma plate with some fries and a fennel pomegranate salad. The Chicken Shawarma plate was really good and in my opinion, definitely worth it. The bite was rich, but not overly so the greens were deliciously salted/seasoned. It had some kind of sauce on them. The chicken had a little bit of heat and a hint of smoke. The Fennel pomegranate salad I wasn't a huge fan of. The orange pieces in the salad were good, had just a hint of spiciness of some kind and was not overly sweet but I think next time I would get a different salad instead. They have indoor and outdoor seating so if you want, you could sit outdoors and people watch. We chose to sit indoors and face out the windows because the sun was blasting us and we wanted the AC.

I really loved the ambiance of Motek. My group was seated close to the kitchen window so it was fun to see the orders come out and watch the chefs prepare the food. There were a lot of food options and since I went with a big group we were able to try many options. The fried eggplant appetizer was definitely my favorite. It was super crispy on the outside and it came with really good tzatziki. The red bell pepper with feta dip was also very tasty and went well with the pita. The salmon skewers were also cooked perfectly. They were crispy on the outside but also melt in your mouth on the inside. I only tried the ribeye as my main and it was cooked perfectly. The salt on the side and the chimichurri were a nice addition to the dish.
After walking this massive mall, I was starving. Motek was on my radar, so we made our way to top floor for some much needed lunch. Upon our arrival, we saw that it was happy hour. They had a $5 dollar menu that was just right to try a few dishes. We ordered quite a bit. It came out pretty quickly and was just the amount of bites needed to get me going for the walk back to the hotel. The highlights for me were the pastrami flat bread and the chicken wrap. Both were very very good. I would definitely go again.

Paired with the decor of the restaurant, I truly feel like I'm out of the country on holiday visiting another country in the mediterranean. The bar is located in the Brickell City Centre and marvelously designed and decorated. The hanging plants and lights add a special touch to an already great restaurant that delivers when it comes to the foods and beverages. The bar is huge and widely available for many guests during the day and evening. The server staff and bussers also appear very knowledgeable about their food and culture as well. Management has been noticed stopping by tables and enduring guests' satisfaction which, as a former restaurant employee, I really appreciate. The best is the Lamb Shawarma hands down. It pairs with a delicious tahini sauce and huge green pepper you can bite for added spice. The portion is plentiful, and I highly recommend on your next visit.
I used to really love motek but sadly I just didn't feel the quality and the price point aligned on my most recent visit. A pita and a shakshuka cost $65 (incl mandatory 20% service charge). At this price for what we ordered, I expect the quality to be outstanding but found it to be mixed. Motek always does shakshukas well and their hummus one was no exception. Quite tasty. The pita was pretty disappointing. Very little goat cheese and the artichokes had a weird taste to them. I did quite enjoy the bread itself though. Our server was good and the ambiance is nice. I will perhaps return for happy hour, but probably not for a proper meal.
Located on the top floor of a beautiful, high-end shopping center right in the heart of Brickell, Motek is an incredible covered, open-air establishment. Even on a 90-degree day, they managed the Miami heat flawlessly with an elaborate system of fans. Combined with the evening's natural breeze, it was completely comfortable. It's a great spot for people-watching, and the local Miami talent is definitely on display. I was dining solo and sat at the long bar, where the bartender was friendly and highly attentive. The food completely stole the show. It is not hyperbole when I say I had the best chicken shawarma of my life here. The flavor was unreal. It came with a phenomenal s'chug sauce and a perfectly prepared green pepper. It was so good that I ordered a side of extra hot peppers to keep that incredible heat and flavor rolling throughout the meal. To drink, I tried the Israeli dark lager by Golden --excellent choice at 4.9% and remarkably close in profile to a Negra Modelo. The back of the restaurant features a fairly open kitchen concept, so you can see where all the magic happens. The execution is fast, and the dishes roll out quickly. I will absolutely be back next time I'm in Brickell. read more

With all the rave of this place, I wanted to fall in love with it so bad. And the food was fine but the service was extremely disappointing. I was left embarrassed recommending a place that made my friends and I leave so uncomfortable. I came with some friends from out of town and wanted a place that would impress them but still casual enough for them in Brickell. They are unfamiliar with the "social rules" of Miami but Motek seemed to highlight all the negative ones here. The server took one look at us and deemed we were not worthy of his attention, presence, or service. The server was named Sebastien and he was extremely pushy and rude. He was constantly watching us but never came over to speak with us unless we called over another server or busser to get him. He tried to rush us into leaving when the restaurant was empty and his whole demeanor to us was so unwelcoming. The decor was gorgeous but the food was not good enough to forgive the horrible service. If you want to go to a place, within a mall, that bases service around what you look like with hyper vigilant staff that watch your every move making it their mission to make you so uncomfortable you are forced to leave, then this is for you. read more
Loved it! I especially loved the laffa! It was so soft and delicious! We had it with labneh tzatziki. Yum! I don't even like bread but I would come back for this!! For lunch, I had the chicken schnitzel plate and my friend had the chicken shawarma bowl. For dessert, my friend had the halva silan ice cream. I had a spoonful. It was good!! My girl reminded me we were trying to get rezos at this spot when we were in NYC and it was packed so we popped into the Brickell City Center location for the happy hour specials and damn was it worth every single penny. First off I can't believe bites and bevs are only $5 a piece, the menu is expansive. We got the mini arayes burger (two bites) it was bomb, the meat was deliciously seasoned. The chicken shawarma was flavored excellently , it's like a delicious pita pocket. My babe ordered the Israeli salad (I'll pass, I'm not a cucumber lover)--she ate every last bite. We also ordered Apple Kind's off of the drink menu and they tasted like an adult apple juice. We still wanted a bit more protein so we ordered some chicken kababs, which was delicious and nutritious. The ambiance was open and airy, appealing and the bar area is a vibe--gives Mediterranean energy--the staff was meh, they could care less about us, but we were here for the cheap eats anyways. By far the best happy hour menu we've had. read more

Located four floors up in glorified shopping mall. Premium priced but nicely laid out,clean and very tasty well prepared food. Expensive but very good cocktails The add 20% gratuity to the bill automatically but a first for me the waiter pointed this out to me. So full marks. Service just right in other respects also. Salmon skewers beautiful and lamb swarms Pita just right. We also shared Fennel Pomegranate Salad which hit the spot read more

As soon as we arrived, the hostess was very nice and seated us right away at a table we loved. The environment was really nice and beautiful, and it made the whole experience feel very pleasant. I came with my aunt, my baby, and my dog. My dog had just experienced a heatstroke, so I asked for some water for her. Unfortunately, it took quite a while and I had to ask several times, so I think it may have been forgotten. Aside from that situation, everything else was really amazing. The service was great and everyone was very kind. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the chicken shawarma with lentil rice, and we also had a salad with chicken. Everything tasted fantastic. Overall, we had a really nice experience and would definitely come back! read more

Their happy hour is a hidden gem. For $5 a dish, you get plenty to choose from and decently sized portions. Flavors are 10/10 The place is a vibe, located on the top floor of brickell city center. Service at the bar was quick. Definitely try out their HH! It is one of the best. read more

We've been big fans of Motek for a number of years. The original location, in a sketchy jewelers section of downtown, presented a fantastic culinary experience with great hospitality, wonderful food, and a creative ambience. We opted to visit the Brickell location and it was nearly the opposite. Food and service that is made to "look" good. We had a flavorless pomegranate fennel salad. The falafel was hilariously burned and a third of the size it should be. The only redeeming thing was the schnitzel - fried chicken is hard to screw up, thankfully. And the prices are outrageous for the portion sizes on top of it all. Sure, the place looks like and we appreciated the attentiveness of staff but it just felt "corporate" and lacked the charm it once had. read more

The restaurant itself is gorgeous, that makes it an attraction alone. The service was also very good. The food was okay, nice for someone new to Mediterranean cuisine, but fairly average if you're already familiar with it. I would come back here again if I were bringing guests from out of town. I will probably go back one more time to try other dishes when I'm next in Brickell. read more
Went for dinner on a Wednesday night with a reservation. Waited a couple minutes to get water and greeted by the waiter, but once greeted, we had attentive service. The drinks we ordered were all really delicious and the flavors were well balanced! We also ordered multiple dips and a couple proteins. Motek is a fabulous Mediterranean restaurant in Brickell. We went there for brunch. Although it is in a mall, the design is very nice. We were seated right away. We were served right away--service was really outstanding. I started with matcha latte, which was excellent with a nice leaf on top. For an appetizer, we had the hummus. This came with the best bread I think I have ever had with hummus--it was right out of the oven and was absolutely delicious. I would have gladly had a second order. Although it was brunch, all the egg dishes had a distinct Mediterranean twist that I was not that interested in, so I had lamb kabob. Again, this was outstanding--great flavor and cooked perfectly. My wife really enjoyed her meal also--which came with a nice, large, tasty challah loaf. Definitely worth a visit! read more

One of my favorite meals in Miami! While I loved all the Cuban cuisine, fresh seafood, and key lime pie, I was excited to try something different. I found Motel Brickell on a Reddit forum about locals' favorite restaurants and it did not disappoint!!! Motek is on the 4th floor of the Brickell City Centre. This a giant outdoor(ish) mall with subterranean parking, though we walked. I assumed "Motek" was the chef's name, but it's actually Hebrew for "sweetheart." The interior is very slick and it seems like many of the diners were out with their sweethearts. Our server was Joao and he was so great that I had to include him in this review. He was so friendly, attentive, and polite -- thanks for making our night out so wonderful!!! The food: we had the mushroom hummus -- the best hummus I've ever had. It comes with freshly baked pita bread that out of this world. My wife had the salmon kebabs -- so tasty, but is served a la carte rather than as a platter. If I could make one change to the menu it would be to include a small side salad or fries. I had the arayes burger, which deservedly won a burger of the year award, two years in a row. It's a total street food delight -- burger (possibly beef or beef and lamb?) that is seasoned, stuffed into pita, then baked/grilled/broiled, and finally cut into quarters. The pita is charred and crispy while the burger is tender and juicy. It came with tahini and a harissa aioli for dipping, plus a salad (or fries). A unique item that I have to imagine will be replicated by others in the future. The bill includes a 20% service fee, but we were notified about this when the bill arrived. Thanks Motek Brickell for a fantastic dinner. I wish you guys all the success in the world. read more

AJ made our experience at Motek a 20/10! He gave my friend and me the best recommendations; we loved the ribeye on baguette, lollipops, and classic hummus with pita. The food and ambiance were both incredible, and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm craving Greek-style cuisine. We also accidentally reserved the Miami Beach location, but the front desk was so helpful in rectifying the mistake quickly so we wouldn't be charged a no-show fee. I came here for miami spice lunch. Not my first time here but always a great spot to enjoy mediterranean food. Their spice menu had lots of entrees to choose from. The bowl was lacking flavor in which i expected it to have more spice and not be so dull. But the cauliflower was 10/10 and the pistachio ice cream was phenomenal as well. We were also able to take advantage of the $5 happy hour at the table so overall it was a great lunch. read more
