#26 for 2018 This is my main office for several reasons. I love their selection, especially their seasonal offerings. You can request for almost anything to get a custom drink to your liking. Many tables to sit. My favorite is the long table where I can stretch out much of my work. It's inside the Foodland. I like to get a poke bowl every now and then, or grocery shop if I need too. A rewards card. I've turned in many to get a free venti. It helps to have meetings here and get credit for coffee bought by other parties since they only have a Starbucks card. LoL. I was curious to try their mojo monday drink (4/20) which was an ice blended matcha with oreo drink. IT WAS SO GOOD! But I think it was how the barista made it. I wished I got her name !Along with the special drink that day we also ordered my husby's fav drink plantation ice tea with light ice as well as my favorite lemonade/strawberry li Hing mui iced tea with light ice. I came into the store for their $4 regular sized blended drinks on a Thursday before 7 PM, which was the time the promotion went until. I waited in line before 6:55 PM. There was only one person ahead of me and the cashier taking the order decided to make their drink first instead of taking my order, even though there was someone already making drinks. Therefore, when the cashier took my order, it was already past the promotion deadline and she didn't update me about that, so when my total came out, it was regular price again. I'm a regular costumer that comes in for Moe Joes and $4 deals on Thursdays. There was the same people working every time I come in. I always use to come here when I worked in the area for my quick fix of coffee or a salmon bagel. I don't come too often anymore but I don't see the usual guy manager working here anymore which was my favorite because of his greetings and energy throughout the day. Not sure if I came on a bad day today but Sydnee was the person that took my order and rang me up and she sounded like she did not want to work there. All the coffee places I always go to Starbucks, coffee places in town or even mainland have a better tone or service. I gave her my stamp card and counted before I gave her that I had 17 stamps left which my total came out to $18+. She didn't bother giving me another stamp card, I asked her politely if she gave me 18 stamps and she looked and me and said yes. Idk if she was lazy, or just didn't feel like working today but I told her nicely that I needed 1 more stamp. Idk about you but coffee ain't getting anymore cheaper in Hawaii so everything counts! Especially when most of the drink is filled with ice. Second, she asked if I wanted non dairy with my matcha so I said yes, oat milk. Watched the other girl make it from the side and she put whole milk inside. I asked the other girl if she used whole milk and she said yes, I told her I wanted oat milk. 7/4/23 @ 7:20p I walked into this location and asked are you still open? Kris, the supervisor on duty currently replies, yes, and walks away. She appears to be cleaning up and getting ready to end the day. I proceed to order my beverage, and then head to the end of the line to get the bathroom key. When I asked Kris for the key, she responds." Our bathroom closed" with her back, turned to me, and then says L& L has a bathroom. It was at this point. I asked if she was a manager, she responded. " no I'm the supervisor." I was dumbfounded at her behavior and inability to pause, and turn around and make eye contact - was this for training, or just her demeanor? Either way it was unacceptable at this time., I proceeded to tell her how I felt that I was a bother to her and she was quite dismissive from the moment I walked into this location, and I found it very sad as I enjoy shopping at this location. I proceeded to tell her it appeared as I was a bother and she just wanted me out of the store so she could clean up and go home. She asked what did she say That made me feel that way. And I proceeded to repeat myself and regards to her dismissive and disgusting display of behavior and nonverbal actions As a paying customer I felt so disregarded. As I walked out of the store. Kris says" have a good night" with a half smirk on her face , in which I replied, you did a good job ruining it, thank you, Kris. And to make matters more interesting. It appears that the employee that helped to make my drink was still in training, and observed this whole ordeal. Kris also appeared Irritated as he asked her where to find the honey for the green tea that I ordered. She's known for having bad attitude and getting annoyed at customers when she wants to go home. She needs a new job maybe scrubbing toliets or flipping burgers some place because this place is not it. They have wonderful friendly staff and baristas here. Coffee made with care. I'm a CBTL convert for their hot americano and iced too. They have Foodland to make their chia puddings and other desserts and pastries. I have even become a tea drinker thanks to this place. The shortest and best comment I have about this location is that they double cup my hot coffee. The coffee is sometimes uncomfortably hot (for me) although I'm walking a short distance to the car. The location is convenient, the staff has been consistently friendly at any time of the day whether it's at 5am or 2pm, my cookies and cream ice blended drink with a floating shot is tasty and strong and my daughter is in love with the Bubbies ice cream mochi. I recently tried a lychee iced tea after the barista suggested it since I didn't want coffee on a hot afternoon. The lychee iced tea was amazing! Love this place! They are always nice and welcoming. They are quick too. Today had 6 of us waiting and only 2 workers. These two gentlemen banged it out in no time! I was recently introduced to The Coffee Bean &Tea Leaf and decided they are my new to go to place for iced teas. I was a diehard Starbucks fan until they changed up their tea drinks. I am now hooked on the Mango Iced Tea with Lemonade or their Li Hing Lemonade. They are very tasty and the flavor last a long time. Not sure what their app offers, but they do have a stamp card which gives you one stamp for every dollar you spend. Once your card is filled you can get a free drink or food item. I always come here mid afternoon since it's usually empty and I can get some work done and it's close to my grandparents house, so it give me an excuse to get my coffee intake for the day. I recommend the mocha ice blended or the jasmine dragon green tea. And I always pair it with a lemon bar or a simple croissant (toasted) The employees are always very friendly and if you are new and need a recommended drink they are always happy to help and recommend something for you. Boycott Coffee Bean & Tea because they switched their drink lids to those that don't fit. As a result the lid popped off my large hot coffee & spilled down by chest & stomach resulting in painful burned skin! Four days later another lid popped off my hot coffee & burned my right hand! It has also happened to two of my friends. These lids are dangerous & the employees hate them because it slows them down & they can't get these paper lids to fit. They're also throwing away numerous bent cups & lids as a result, which wastes company money. Been coming to the Ewa Beach one since they've opened. All-in-all it's been pretty good except for a few select employees along the way. I admit when this Ewa location first opened, I was not a fan. The workers were inattentive, slow, unknowledgeable and not nearly as friendly as their competitors across the parking lot. It even prompted me to write a letter to management. To their credit, I did receive an apology and a promise to improve. Fast forward to present day. I went in twice this week and both times, I was greeted by "hellos" and smiles. I asked questions on both occasions and they were very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. Quick and efficient also come to mind. Angelika and Coleen were the two cheerful workers who helped me decide on the Arnold Palmer tea yesterday (which was refreshingly good btw) and all I can say, is they have done a complete turn around at this CBTW. This location is next to the food land and is a busy spot in the morning. However the staff is ALWAYS friendly and quick! You definitely see the same people working in the mornings (for good reason). Boy with the long hair (always wears a hat) is always there and always quick and friendly. The shorter girl with the glasses is usually there in the mornings to and she is awesome! Saturday night I had stepped foot into the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf location out in Ewa for the first time. I arrived at the establishment to meet up with individuals for a Meet & Greet UYE. There are tables and chairs set up for individuals who want to enjoy their drinks and relax in a quiet environment. I noticed some people were working on their homework while others were involved with their handheld games or even reading a book. The shop itself sell bags of different flavored teas, hydroflask, coffee mugs, grab & go items like parfaits, fruit salads, sandwiches, and packaged beverages. There's a selection of pastries to choose from as well as hot or cold drinks. I had to make a decision of two different drinks: li hing lemonade or a strawberry breeze. I opted to choose the li hing lemonade to drink for the first time. One can really taste the sourness of the lemonade. There was a single li hing covered seed in the drink as well as some li hing powder on the bottom of the cup. I was informed to mix my drink in order for the li hing powder to spread throughout the drink. The temptation to order a blueberry muffin or a peanut butter chocolate brownie was there. It looked so delicious. Maybe on my next visit to Ewa I will stop by and order a pastry along with a different drink. 58/200 read more

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is underrated. It truly is. Probably not as popular as the other coffee chain and not as trendy to be walking around with a non-Starbucks cup. I happen to LOVE CBTL! Their products are CONSISTENTLY good. Never burnt or old coffee. Never stale and always the right temp. This location gets really crowded starting mid-morning and throughout the day thereafter. Best time to go is early (early) in the morning. There isn't a drive thru but what they lack in convenience is a great cup of coffee (I like mine strong, bold and an extra shot of expresso) and always excellent customer service! And like another reviewer mentioned, you won't get too many fru-fru orders ahead of you (we all know the type, "blah...blah....blah...blah...blah in SOY pls). Their coffee stands strong alone without all the additions, deletions and substitutions. I've always left here completely satisfied with my cup of joe. If you happen to come during peak business hours you'll find difficulty finding parking and seating indoors if you want to hang for a bit. The handful of times I've been here, I have not seen it packed/busy. There is usually old men hanging out inside and outside talking story and people watching. The restroom is constantly cleaned. If you do not know what to order, they will guide you according to what you are craving. I study a lot and they do not pester you about staying there for hours.
