I really love this Baskin-Robbins. It's kind of nothing special at first glance, but it's just a nice place. There's always a good variety of ice creams. My personal favorite is the cherry one with actual cherries in it. They also have some fun seasonal flavors. I usually go there with my kid, and it's always a nice time. They have a couple of tables, but instead I grab our ice cream and head over to the nearby play area. It's a big open space with fake grass, some chairs, and steps you can sit on. It's not officially a playground, but there are usually lots of kids running around and burning energy. We get the keiki-sized ice cream and the size is pretty decent. For kids, I love that they have options without added sugar. We usually go for the pineapple and coconut flavor. The staff is very nice and helpful. I didn't know they could serve a sugar cone in a paper cup, but they offered, and I loved it -- it helps keep things way less messy, especially with the heat here. It is a little pricey -- two keiki-sized ice creams usually come out as $8.77. But to me, it's worth it. It feels like a treat. On a trip to Kapolei, I stopped by the Ka Makana Ali'i shopping complex. It was the day before my birthday in September, so I was like, why not? I stepped into the Baskin Robbins ice cream shop that's located in the thick of the food court area. There was limited seating but the place was popular enough to not find a seat until someone leaves. I arrived here around 1pm after taking the Express Bus C from town, which took about an hour. The store itself was empty and very much air conditioned. It was cool to be here just before my birthday and indulge in a sweet treat. And so, I got a pint of chocolate ice cream for around $10 ish. It was definitely delicious and it hit the spot. I must have spent about 30 minutes to finish it all, but I did it. The entire experience here at this Baskin Robbins ice cream shop was about 15 minutes, since I tend to be indecisive sometimes about the ice cream flavor I want. The service here was friendly and very pleasant while being casual and good at the same time. For the most part though, it was good and fun to make a stop here at this particular Baskin Robbins ice cream shop in Kapolei because it just was meant to be. The store itself was small and standing room only, which is okay. They didn't have any chairs or tables inside the restaurant but there's a food court seating area directly outside of the ice cream shop, if you decide to eat it right away. What I enjoyed was the flavor selection, especially when they had chocolate readily available for me to see. They often have other flavors or mixed combinations of flavors that two families and a small children. For me, though I like my chocolate or anything with chocolate, especially Rocky Road. Chocolate chips in vanilla ice cream would do in a pinch. The restaurant itself was clean and ready for anybody and everybody who wishes to have ice cream on a brisk weekend. Or anytime anybody feels like having ice cream anyway. The price is here are on par with other places, comparable to scoop size and other offerings that they will have. I feel like $10 for a pint of ice cream is comparable to other places, but of course it can be expensive too. A pint of ice cream can be as good as a new replacement. Eating ice cream as a meal? You bet. The body of ice cream here is very good and definitely worth a try if you haven't been here before. Passing Robbins is a household name here in Hawaii. A brand that was here for decades if not longer so, do yourself a favor and come on by if you're in the area. Loved that they opened up at KaMakana Ali'i! They are located in the food court. We came in to get some ice cream for my nieces and nephew and I was happy to see that their ice cream freezers had lower glass at the front so that the kids could see the ice cream without being carried. The store was clean and modern looking. They also display their ice cream cones right up front in a case with the different varieties that they have. They have quite an array of them from chocolate dipped to chocolate dipped with sprinkles and chocolate dipped with nuts. The ice cream was yummy as always and they had some new flavors also available. The workers were also very nice and patient as we took a while to decide on what we wanted. This is a great place for ice cream. They also have quart sizes that you can take home and cakes available for special occasions. I will definitely return! read more

It's near closing and line is still out the door. There are 2 workers but only one is taking orders, filling orders, and cashing customers out. The other worker is concerned about cleaning up. I had a disappointing experience at Baskin Robbins tonight (03/29/2024, 05:30 pm). Despite placing an online order and paying for it, the workers made us wait until they served everyone else before attending to us. We were waiting at the register because there were people standing waiting to be helped and people coming in/out. While it wasn't a big deal, we didn't mind moving over to wait, but while she asked us to move out the way, she called us back almost instantly. Unfortunately, I didn't hear her as I was attending to my two kids that were being kids, touching things, dancing, etc., but my husband heard her and went back to the counter. She gave my husband our order, and when we asked if everything was in the bag, the employee responded rudely, rolling her eyes and replied that everything was in there. Additionally, we inquired about sprinkles on the kids' creature creations, as there wasn't an option for it online, but received no helpful response. I understand people have bad days, but I think this should be avoided while serving customers, especially when we didn't do anything to provoke this type of behavior. While we were leaving, we turned back to thank the workers, even though they were rude, because we like to spread Aloha and give people 2nd chances. However, we observed them conversing in a whispering manner while staring at us, which felt uncomfortable. Despite this, we still followed through with a Big "Mahalo have a good one!" . Upon opening our order at the nearby play area, which is about 100ft from them, we discovered missing items like the creature hats, almonds, and chocolate syrup. When we returned to inform them, they gave us slight aggressive looks as if we were annoying them... Yikes! But, they did apologize and gave us the missing items. Overall, the poor customer service and missing items left a negative impression on our visit to Baskin Robbins in Kamakana Ali'i. Bought my favorite BR Banana Royale ice cream sundae and it was the smallest scoops I've ever seen (especially for $8!) I'm certain they were hallow.
