Seems like a lot of fun here! The staff is friendly, knows people's names, greets you when you come in (and not that monotone, generic, "welcome" either) and seems to have a real good time! We came in on a Wednesday morning and it was quiet and slow but as the morning went on and customers came in there was laughter and customers walking out the door smiling! There's a big, tall guy, salt and pepper beard and he interviewed someone (it was the funniest interview I've ever eavesdropped by the way) and his personality is just great, he seems to energize the whole place but everyone is very nice and friendly! I can't tell you much about the food but the ice Matcha cream strawberry was great! We stayed for 90 minutes and will definitely be back! If you're looking for a place to sit and do work and want super silence this place might not be for you. But if you just want a relaxing place to people watch and grab a coffee or a snack, drop on by! read more

We came in here on a Friday night, just made it in time before they closed up shop for the day. The line was pretty long, but the lady at the cashier really know what she's doing as the line kept moving up and orders were being taken. It wasn't long before it was our turn and we ordered a mango tea and an iced brown sugar latte. Both were pretty good! The mango tea came out almost instantly, but the iced brown sugar latte took a little longer. Today I ordered iced coffee without ice, and never in the decades of my life have I seen the (store manager, who was cashier) serve the coffee to me half filled & stated the half filled was going to be due to asking for no ice. First off, when you pay for a drink you PAY for the ice, if im not paying for the ice then fill it up with coffee to compensate OR reduce the price of my coffee. In addition, was leaving a large gap in my drink coming out of her paycheck? This company wastes TONSSS of coffee/food daily throwing away tons of things at the end of each day, the least they can do is just fill my cup up, that small amount isnt coming out of noones paycheck, and also I omitted from ice which is something that comes with the price of my drink so the gap should be filled with iced coffee OR/AND ice. The store manager here would rather have TONS of drinks/food go to waste at the end of the day when I see them tossing everything than make customers satisfied. Not a good place to come to for that service, there are tons of coffee shops and a lot of competition right now, I'll take my business elsewhere if that kind of stinginess is going to be rendered. Not to mention my drink was literally almost 8 bucks which is WAY more expensive than Starbucks. read more

I was at VGs today and walked into coffee bean because I needed something to wake me up. I dont drink coffee so I was interested in tea. I was super indecisive about what to get because theres soooo many options, I was kind of overwhelmed and everything sounded good. I talked to Susie at the front and I told her my flavor profile and if she can recommend me anything. She took the time to explain the background on all the teas available and their flavor profiles (she sounded like a tea WIZARD lol) She recommended me the hot Cherry Blossom green tea, given that it has natural caffeine and is also refreshing at the same time. It was BOMBBBB!!!!! She also showed me all the loose leafs that the store had available for whole sale and I ended up buying the cherry blossom box!! Susie was EXTREMELY helpful and so sweet! She made something that was overwhelming for me, into an amazing and easy experience. She was able to break everything down for me and explained it in a way that was accommodating to someone who has no clue about the science of teas LOL!! Thank you so much Susie!! I came in one day and I instantly became obsessed with the vanilla oat spiced latte. It was like heaven in a cup and I was coming back almost weekly to just try that drink again. The worst news happened when the baristas unfortunately told me it was a seasonal drink and wasn't available anymore. There was a long line behind me (which means great things on its own) and I didn't know what I could drink instead since I've only been getting that oat latte. I know I should be trying new things but the pressure was getting to me. Thankfully the excellent baristas that day saved the whole experience for me. I didn't want to stop going to Coffee Bean as I've been trying to settle into new habits and routines (very healthy) and I'd stop drinking coffee bean all together before supporting St*rbucks! April at the register helped get me a drink that would resemble the flavors I liked most from the vanilla oat spice latte. She recommended me a (dare I say) even yummier drink that was blend of the standard vanilla ice latte with cinnamon and an extra shot of espresso (she could tell I needed it!). What an expert of the espresso, she saved a worthy a customer and all with a smile on her face. Elijah and Kennedy also recognized me (an ole regular like me) and made such pleasant conversation. More than anything the friendliness of the staff makes the experience satisfying and keeps a customer like me coming back!!! p.s props to amaya for that beautiful drawing!
