this location goes through ups and downs. I feel like lately it hasn't been hitting the same. The Matcha iced lattes are always watery and just taste like milk. i've been getting the Matcha ice blended, which are generally more Matcha flavored but today I went with the iced latte. It did definitely disappoint. The baristas are pretty nice usually, definitely nicer than the other Haven location but not as nice as the Sierra Lakes location. also, when i went in march the drive-through window opened and a huge chunk of dust and dirt fell in my car from the inside of the drive-through window, which was crazy and disgusting. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf caught my eyes as I was driving away. As I looked closer, it has a drive-thru. I had an urge for a mocha frappe so I drove over here 10 mins before closing time. Kid you not, the drive-thru is very tight and short so do be careful when driving into it, moving through it, and driving out of it. I saw The Original Mocha on the menu and that's what I ordered in regular size. The lady at the window was very friendly and nice. She took my payment and right afterwards she handed the mocha drink to me. Wow, that was fast! I got it with whipped cream that gave it a nice smooth taste. No customer service here. the drive-through was long line so I went in as I'm in a hurry. There was three girls there all talking to each other never once in hi welcome. I stood at the register waiting for somebody to take my order, but no one acknowledged me, or said I'll be right with you , they were all just giggling and laughing to each other talking to each other with their headphones. Located in a plaza on Haven Ave. We used the drive thru to order our usual: Large cookies and cream iced blended drink with oat milk no whip cream Regular Sea salt caramel iced drink with oat milk Beyond Breakfast sausage sandwich Plus I had a rewards for free drink or pastry so I selected the large drink to be free. Tbh I'm a starbiz kid. Well not so much kid but you know what I mean. I had my car getting washed across the street at the car wash and I had not had breakfast yet so I figured I'd walk over here and see what's good. To my surprise this place is what was good. The little dessert coffee I ordered was bomb not going to compare to the Starbiz because I feel like I will always choose Starbiz not by the taste but other reasons. I also had a some breakfast sandwich thing that was really good and hit the spot I'm not sure if it was because I was starving or if it was just that good. Either way it was really good. I have a love/hate relationship with the shopping center where this Coffee Bean is located--I love so many of the places, but logistically, the placement of everything is horrible and it's often very stressful to navigate. Anyway, the stress involved in today's venture was well worth it. There were 3 or 4 cars in front of me in the drive-thru line. but the line moved quickly. The menu had new things on there I'd never seen, including a Tiramisu ice blended, pictured here. :) I would NEVER get this drink on a regular basis, but for a once-in-a-while sweet treat, it was perfect. They had a $3 regular size drink special, which the barista happily told me about, which made it even better. $3 or $5, it was worth it, but nice there was a deal. I really appreciated the good energy and friendliness, both at the menu board and pick up window: that's always a huge plus. My son got a cookies and cream ice blended, which he liked. #49 for 2021 If I want to sit at a coffee shop this is where I go. It's quiet most of the time. There's not a lot of tables to sit at but I usually get one right away. If not, there are 2 tables outside available too. Service here has been spot on. Very attentive and accommodating. Always warmly greeted as I come in. If there's a special going on I'm made aware of it. They have a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches that can be warmed up, or made. I haven't seen the mochi donuts in awhile. Not sure if they'll be bringing that back. Their coffee has always been good no matter what location I go to. Love that consistency. Been taking it black lately to cut down on the sugar. With the summer coming I'll probably be ordering more of the blends and freezes to help keep soothe my body temperature. Visiting their website has advantages too. You'll see many merchandise discounted especially for discontinued items they are trying to get rid of. You can get coffee, teas, brewing machines, cups and other drinkware. My go to I was such a Starbucks girly until about a year ago when I was introduced to coffee bean and I have never looked back. I am obsessed with their coffee and unlike Starbucks their coffee is much gentler on my stomach. I am also impressed with their new food items. Love the pistachio Concha.
