However, the candy was still delicious. Teresa, the owner, contacted me to make sure I received my order. When I told her what happened, she replaced it in much stronger packaging at no charge. In the middle of the floor I was able to find a folding table housing a small covered container of 8 stale looking cupcakes with a mound of pretzel rods sticking out of the top. I saw the picture online and thought they were cute.....looks way worse in person! I felt completely dooped by the descriptions on the website! The decor was old, dusty and outdated.....I think they were trying to go for the vintage tea room look but missed hard! A couple of my friends sampled the only 2 types of cupcakes they carried, and were not pleased in the least. The cupcakes were stale, and had no flavor. Best described as a box cake mix gone wrong. Overall, don't waste your time!

The cake was beautiful, neither of us wanted the responsibility to handle it.....our wives had scared us....one of the awesome ladies in the shop loaded the cake in the back seat of the truck for us. We arrive at the Party site....mission accomplished...sort of. As I exited the Truck, the family dog, a very excitable short haired German Pointer met me at the door. I got out to greet my niece I had not seen yet (leaving the door open) A moment later, I heard DOG and CAKE in the same outburst. You can do the math. Luckily, his damage (and taste of cake) was not a total disaster. My niece was upset, we assured her....we will fix it....not knowing if we could. Back on the road and put in a 911 Call to Whipped Sweet. Getting later in the day...there was no time for another cake. We arrive, Owner says...."this isn't bad...I can work with this, we expected much worse." She says " give me 10 or 15...be right back". The theme of the Cake was "One happy Camper". She sliced away the areas affected by the Dogs sweet tooth and created a river/waterfall of icing down the front of the cake. It looked amazing. She wanted no additional compensation....obviously a gratuity was in order. You just don't get that type of service these days....The cake and cannoli's were delicous.....and the shop had another story to add to the list. My colleague had a coffee with espresso shots and he said it was really good and had a rich taste. It didn't take long to get our drinks and even tho we didn't eat any of the snacks - they looked amazing!! She also does a neat little thing- for example, I can buy a cup of coffee or anything really and leave it on the wall for a police officer, school teacher, or for anyone who needs a coffee and can't afford it. I thought - how awesome is it that someone cares enough about the community that she has a place on her wall for some AWESOMENESS!!! Thank you for your kindness.

It's as if I was a kid again eating an imaginary meal at a play set. But the meal is far from imaginary... With a limited menu that changes regularly, they prepare rich meals of both quality and quantity. I had a sausage and potato stuffed omelet with carmelized onions that was a very delicious monster. Quite often, home fries are either greasy, or over-cooked, or even over-seasoned, but these were perfect. It seemed as if they had just pulled the potatoes from the ground that morning. My girlfriend had the best, "meatiest" tomato soup I have ever tasted, and her gourmet grilled cheese blew my mind. (If I didn't love her so much, I would have stolen it from her!) For dessert, we had white-chocolate raspberry cookies that were yummy beyond reproach. (The cakes in the dessert display may bring people to tears.) The service was also wonderful and the coffee really hit the spot. Reservations recommended and there is parking in the rear of the establishment.
