my cut and perm after!!! in love! that angela !!!!

no front desk no one came to help my aunt we have been sitting in front for over 20 minutes... also walked around the salon ... not safe nor helpful also my own experience .... head to reschedule and the technician acted like it was the end of the world... i then sent her $50 deposit for my next apt... " im booked for the next two months, i won't have time... also WHAT IS APPLE CASH? i don't know what it is nor do i do anything with apple.... nose stuck up salon in my opinion we had a $300 budget each

I've been going to Brittany for years and she always gives me exactly what I want and need. I've been in the process of going from blonde to brown and when I left I was so happy I started calling everyone to tell them what an amazing job Brittany did! This is an incredibly late review, 6 years late. I wish I wrote it sooner but I was young and naive. Back in 2020 i had gotten my hair dyed blonde by mina shears and my posted IG results were photoshopped lol. I had just turned 18 and had never been to a salon and i feel i totally got scammed after seeing my results were altered and I believe i was charged $800. The pictures below were taken the night of and the following weeks after, and of course the one with the mask is the photoshopped one. I wish i had better pictures showing how brown the back of my hair was, but again, I was freshly 18 and all I cared about were selfies lol. Now my face framing pieces were 100% the platinum blonde I wanted, but the rest of my hair was definitely not blonde at all lol. This has been my go to hair horror story for the past 6 years. I learned my lesson and really did research to find a reliable blonde specializing stylist. I hope the stylist who posted fake hair has more integrity now and no one else has the same experience I did.

I BEEN GOING TO LACEY FOR YEARS!!!! She is the best she made my hair back to platinum blonde long and healthy !!! My hair improves every time I see her I don't even tell her what I want she knows and masters it every time!! I would say she is definitely a MASTER WITH BLONDE HAIR!! Very very happy! You get what you pay for people. I thought I'd go to the beauty college to get my roots done. She saturated my hair, got rid of my blond highlights and my hair was dark! I kept telling her she was doing too much. But she kept insisting it was going to be ok. Then went back for a correction and it was darker! I searched Yelp, called and talked to 3 different places. I spoke with Lacee and felt confident she could help me get my hair back to normal. And she did! I an extremely happy and Highly recommend her and hee team! 100%!

I had a great salon visit with my stylist Lindsay. She is absolutely wonderful ! I have curly hair and it was down to my shoulder blades but I had a bit of breakage just for natural reasons and needed a refresh overall with color as well. We decided together and she gave me a bob, and it looks amazing! Exactly what I wanted. Going short has definitely made a difference in my getting ready routine. I scheduled my mom and appointment here with John thanks to the wonderful person I spoke with over the phone (sorry don't remember her name). My mom desperately needed a hair cut and color due to not going to a salon for months because of Covid. They have signs posted in the front about following Covid guidelines and everyone there wears a mask so that made me feel a lot better. The salon is very cute and clean and the whole staff was very nice and helpful. My mom loves how her hair came out and will definitely be back to see John. Thanks again! read more

I've been wanting to get my hair done since February because the last place that did my hair didn't give me what I wanted. Searched the area and The colour parlor had really good reviews so I made an appointment and they got me in the next day. Quincy was my stylist and she was so nice! she made my hair exactly how I pictured and it's still healthy and long! I really do love my hair.Will definitely recommend her to anyone looking to get their hair done As for the salon it's really nice and big and all the other hair stylists are very nice and welcoming read more

Got my hair done by Lacy, and what an amazing experience it was. She was so down to earth and held a great conversation as well as did an amazing job on my hair. Absolutely love the way it turned out!! I hadn't been feeling Myself in a long time and with the stresses of life getting in he way I was feeling sad all the time. I knew I needed a change or some would say I was going through a "midlife crisis" lol but I needed something different to make me feel better. Thanks to lacy I feel like a new person, confident, strong and beautiful. Love love love my hair. The attention to detail and expertise that John uses in his unique hair styles is hands down the best in the Valley. I will keep coming back to see the fun and unique styles that John offers. I went to The Colour Parlor yesterday to get my hair done and I absolutely love it!! All the stylists were warm and welcoming. Lacy did such a great job bringing out the blonde and the cut is insanely adorable! First off I just love The Colour Parlor! It's so bright and welcoming and sooo stylish! Can you be my interior decorator? Well, lacy has been doing my hair for 15 years and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. She does an amazing job with I color and style and I get compliments on my hair all the time. I've seen her amazing updos and it makes me want to go to a prom or get married just so I can get my hair all fancy Lol maybe I should just get it done to go to the grocery store who needs a reason for a beautiful updo right? I would absolutely NOT recommend Chelsea for any service unless you want orange hair and a choppy haircut. She's extremely unprofessional and insists that her work meets standards rather than facing the facts and meeting her customers in the middle or just admitting she messed up. "The Balayage Studio" in San Diego saved my hair so if you're thinking doing something drastic save your time and money and get it done right the first time. And Janna, as a business owner you should be more inclined to first apologize to your customers and then offer to resolve the issue, not boast about your employees work or lack-thereof. Not all customers are money-hungry or out to get you. I came into get balayage and a cut and got choppy hair and orange hair so if you're okay with that as a business owner then more power to you. read more

I had a great experience at The Colour Parlor. Krystal was awesome this girl right here nows how to color hair. I moved to far away to keep seeing my old hairstylist. The process of finding someone new has really sucked and my poor hair has suffered from it , but I'm so glad I found someone. They listen to the client!!!!! I cannot tell you how many times the hairstylist just does not listen. There was a conversation that took place before I even stepped foot into the salon. She asked me what I was looking for, She asked for a reference pictures. She asked for my photo to see my current hair condition. I can tell you I have never left a salon feeling 100% satisfied with my color until today. read more

I've wanted to color my hair for a while now, but too scared to pull the trigger since I have never dye my hair before. My usual hair stylist was M.i.a when I was trying to get an appointment with her. I've found the Colour Palour after doing some research. Sarah was the stylist that I've got set up with. I can't say enough how much I love her!! Since she knew that this was my first time ever color my hair, she took time to understand how I wanted my hair to look. I showed her photos of what i wanted and she would give me input of what would look good. We went from my jet black hair to a lighter brown highlight balayage. Also, hair cut is complimentary. She was so gentle with my hair too. My hair had never look so good! I was and am so in love with it. It looks good straight and curled. It's been over a week now and my hair still soft and not dry out. If you need a new hair stylist, Sarah is your girl!! I'm recommending her to everyone I know!! read more

I called to schedule an appointment for the following day (a Sunday) to get a cut and color. The woman who answered the phone (I can't remember her name) was super courteous and asked as many questions as she could to try to give me an estimate on how much the service would cost. She took down my number and said that she'd text me to let me know if they could get me an appointment. Less than two minutes later, I receive a text to confirm my 9 am appointment. That was fast! I also received a text from the stylist (Samantha) with follow up questions so she had an idea of what I wanted to get done and the look that I wanted to achieve. I was really impressed and felt more at ease going to get my hair colored by someone I've never gone to before. The morning of the appointment, Samantha texted me and gave me specific directions on how to get to the salon. She told me where to park and how to enter the building. I've seen other reviews stating that it was difficult to find the salon but I just followed the directions that were given and it wasn't difficult to find at all. Samantha went over the hair color swatches and made sure that I was okay with them. She talked to me about how it may fade at the ends because the ends were previously bleached. And we agreed on a darker color to avoid having to come back in sooner for maintenance. I love how my hair turned out. I have definitely found my new stylist and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist that asks all the right questions, is very thorough, and personable. Thank you Samantha! read more

Came in expecting a "good job" and walked out with more than just that... I was very, very satisfied. After seeing the great job that Rose had done on my sisters, I had to come in and see for myself. In the end, I was so happy with the result because she understood exactly what I wanted and KNEW JUST HOW TO ACHIEVE THAT LOOK. If you are unhappy with your current hairdresser or would like to try something new, I would definitely recommend you give this place a try. I went in yesterday for my balayage with Natasha! She is AMAZING!!! So welcoming and made me feel taken care of and I knew I could trust her with my hair! Chanowa is a phenomenal stylist. I've been going to her for several years and am always so pleased with her skill and advice in cutting and highlighting my hair. Her cuts grow out so very well and the color is always just perfect. I regularly receive compliments on my hair and always give her the credit! She also cuts my husband's hair and now he refuses to go anywhere else. A testament to her artistry. I highly recommend her especially if you are fond of perfection! read more

I was looking for a hair salon that would meet my expectations. After reading the good reviews of this place, I decided to come and get a makeover on my hair! I was fortunate that Sandra was my stylist! First, I came to a consultation and since I have a very tight schedule, she created a space to take me the next day; so the next day I came to my hair adventure! Sandra is a very sweet person, so polite and she is very welcoming. She listened to me carefully in what I wanted to do on my hair but I have to say that she did an AMAZING job. She took her time and went beyond what I asked for, my results were greater than my expectations and I am mesmerized with the work quality she did. Getting a short haircut can be scary and knowing who to trust can be difficult. Natasha absolutely saved me. I had a good 7 inches cut off my hair 4 weeks prior to seeing her, and the layers were a MESS. After coming to Natasha, my Bob and short layers were seemless. Her customer service was outstanding, she gave me a personal reminder via text the day before my appointment, which I'm sure we all can appreciate. Again hands down the best salon in the area. I stupidly took my son to a chain barber shop for a trim and the absolutely butchered his long hair. I made them stop and immediately took him to The Colour Parlor where they fixed the absolute mess the sporty barber place created. Even though I was a walk in Janna found a stylist to take us right away. Once again an amazing job done by Janna! I love my hair. The Colour Parlor is by far the best salon in the area. read more

Where do I even begin. I don't think I've ever had such a horrendous experience at a salon. I was super excited to come here due to the rating. I walk in about 15mins late to my appointment which was scheduled for 10:30. It's beautifully decorated inside. And then I'm just standing and standing. There is a hair dresser right at the front with a client she looks at me standing there and continues talking to her client. Then 2 more hair stylists walk by and don't say a word to me. So it's been 10 minutes and finally I ask the hair dresser at the front if there's a receptionist and how long I'm gonna have to stand there after 3 different people there have seen me and ignored me. And she says no we don't have a receptionist and I didn't see you. I was staring at her the whole time. I saw her look at me. So then a CLIENT there not the hair dresser messages the owner and all these hair dressers come out from the back. So I go to sit down and I tell her what I want and I already felt like I should have left but I really needed my hair done. I notice my hair dresser keeps leaving to ask another hair dresser about my hair. Which is a red flag. Then she comes over to me and says it's gonna be $350 plus $10 for every bowl of product we use on your hair....I have short hair and I wanted to get the 4inch of root that grew out touched up. So it wasn't even a full hair color. And that price DIDNT include a haircut which I also needed. Now once again red flag but I'm like okay well this place must be great for those prices and I'm here so let me just get my hair done. The process starts and I have two girls working on my hair. Neither of them speak to me for the first hour and a half just to each other. And as they do my hair they don't ask me "put your head down please" or any hospitable communication they just keep pushing my head and neck down to the point its straining and hurting me. First thing to start communication between the three of us is a separate male hair dresser who I had never spoken to or met before is talking to another hair dresser about a car he liked outside. My car. Which is a brand new and very expensive. He goes outside and one of the hair dressers is laughing and saying omg he's trying to open it. He's crazy. This fucking guy tried to open my car. Who does that ??? And by the way..that hair dresser laughing....THAT WAS THE OWNER !! Literally everything horrible you can think of happened. The girls doing my hair left a huge blob of bleach on my face and then disappear so I just have to sit there with my face burning until they finally came back and then wiped it with a DRY towel. Then they take me back to wash my hair and put me at the sink that doesn't work and water shoots into my eye and one of them is looking at me while it happens and I couldn't even play it off I had to close my eye because so much water got in it and they just said "it's the sink" no one ever apologized. I warned them about a hoop earring on the side of one of my ears and they still ripped a brush down on it. One of the hair dressers (receptionist) walks past me and just glares at me not breaking eye contact. Just the dirtiest look. Then the girls took the foil off my hair too early and they had to bleach and tone and everything had to be reapplied because my hair was orange in the front but blonde in the back. And all this last stage was done by the owner. I was never warned or told there would be a problem because of the length of regrowth. I was told the time I had to leave by was fine and then in the middle of doing my hair told with a bunch of attitude "well you're saying you have to leave but this is a 5 hour process." Why wasn't I told that in the beginning ? When I asked ? SO I stayed there 6 hours. And THIS IS HOW MY HAIR TURNED OUT. I have a ring of golden pee color around my head and basically the whole top layer of my hair is all broken off and damaged. I kept telling them I was worried about it getting damaged. And they just kept saying well your lucky you have thick hair so it's fine. Then at the end when it turned out like shit THEN I get a whole speech about how this is inevitable when your hair grows out as much as yours did. So they are scammers. They say everything you want to hear to get you in a chair but can't provide what you need done. I also never got a haircut cause I was terrified for them to use scissors on me after everything else that happened. So for this crap hair they still charged me $250. And then after it turns out like shit the girl goes well one way to fix it is shadow roots have you seen those ? So i Google it. It's DARK BROWN ROOTS WHICH IS HOW I WALKED INTO THE SALON. Seriously this place is a joke and criminal. I never write reviews but this experience was so traumatic and terrible I don't want anyone else to experience it PLUS the close to 5 star rating is BS. There's no way. LITERALLY no one ever apologized. From the first incident to the last. It just blows my mind. read more

I have been going to this place for a bit of time now.. i am extremely picky and usually a dissatisfied customer. This place is great. My service was fairly straightforward: an all-over brown color with a red/copper undertone and a trim. I specifically explained that I wanted a copper undertone rather than a purple-toned red. There were no highlights or foils. After the first color application and wash, Ashley apparently noticed an issue before I had even seen my hair and began correcting it. Once she dried a section, I was finally able to see the color myself, and my roots were noticeably bright/glowing red. She mentioned that the salon lighting was making it appear worse and took me outside to look at it. For context, my appointment started on time at 2:30 PM, and it was after 5:30 PM before I was able to see the color for the first time. At that point, I had already been there for three hours for an all-over color and trim and needed to get home to my kids. Ashley offered to continue color correcting it, but because of the time, we agreed she would adjust the roots and I would leave with wet hair. I went back to the bowl for another application, my hair was washed and towel dried, and I paid and left. Once I got home and dried my hair, my roots were still very bright red. The photos attached to this review were taken after I got home. What made the experience especially frustrating was the $400 total: $275 for the all-over color and $125 for the trim. I messaged Ashley afterward to explain that I was unhappy with the result and asked whether any of the additional attempts to correct the color had been included in what I was charged. She explained the pricing and offered for me to return so she could attempt another color correction free of charge. I was also told there would be no full or partial refund. At that point, I declined. After spending $275 specifically on an all-over color, sitting in the salon for more than three hours, and already having multiple attempts made to correct it, I prefer to return to the stylist that I know will get it right and save myself the time and further disappointment. I understand that hair color doesn't always turn out perfectly on the first application. I've had that happen at my usual salon. The difference, for me, is how it's handled afterward. In those instances, the issue was corrected quickly and successfully. I don't expect perfection every time, but at this price point, I do expect the finished result to reasonably resemble what was discussed--or for there to be a meaningful resolution when it doesn't. A few additional observations about the salon itself: it was extremely loud, to the point that having a conversation with my stylist was difficult. While I was there, another stylist had food delivered and appeared visibly irritated with the delivery driver because utensils weren't included, walking away shaking her head. I found that interaction uncomfortable and unprofessional to witness. My back also became soaked while I was at the shampoo bowl, and Ashley mentioned that this happens frequently because of the chairs they have. I do want to give credit where it's due: the salon was kept clean, and I repeatedly saw stylists cleaning not only their own stations but helping clean one another's as well. There seemed to be good teamwork in that regard. Unfortunately, cleanliness doesn't outweigh leaving after more than three hours, paying $400 for an all-over color and trim, and still having to go elsewhere to have the color corrected. I won't be returning and will be going back to my stylist at another salon. Lesson learned.

I absolutely love this Salon. I have long blonde hair and it is fine textured and very fragile. It takes a true professional to achieve the color I desire without damaging it. Stylist Janna at The Colour Parlor has done an amazing job time after time on my hair. As well as being a great colorist and stylist, Janna is the Salons Owner and is a National Educator for Paul Mitchell. Alyssa Romero is amazing! I've been going to her for about a year now and she is the only person I trust with my hair. I have basically no hair due to chemical damage and she has been so great getting it back to health. She is basically a magician with extensions because you can't even tell I have them in! On top of that, she is so precise with her haircuts and color as well. She is so fun and easy to talk to, and always makes sure to accommodate her guests as much as she can. Went in on a Sunday initially it was just a desperate change for myself which i had previously made an apt with Sarah, and she was able to sqeeze my mom in without a problem :-) i couldnt have been anymore happy! I got my hair retouched with the owner Janna and my friend Alexis got her hair done with Kristen. I have come to the salon many times before and usually don't mind who does it. I have had such a great experience. Janna is not only talented and does my hair exactly how I ask but is so friendly and greets everyone as they come into the salon. I don't mind when she did my hair.. I was thinking of going shorter but not sure and she gave me the option to come back at no charge if I decide. I came to this salon after a really bad experience somewhere else left my hair uneven, dry, and just a mess. I was honestly embarrassed and didn't know if it could even be fixed. Nicole is amazing! I was incredibly lucky when I found her. I didn't get just a stylist ... I got a hair MAGICIAN! For once in my life I have pretty hair. Samantha Browning does the perfect balayage that every girl is looking for. The best part is that she won't kill your hair even if it's already dead. I found this place because of my fiancée. She gets her hair done by Kristina, and suggested I try having her cut my hair. I wasn't sure about it because I've always gone to a barber shop and didn't know if I could get as good of a cut at a salon. Turned out you can. She did a great job now I go there all the time. I have never…read morein my life felt so compelled to write such a negative review but after the treatment I received from the Owner Reyna, it's outrageous. If you have curly hair, DO NOT come here to get your hair cut. If you know curly hair, you know how traumatic getting a bad cut can be ruining years of growth and hard work into our hair. I'm not even writing this about the stylist, she was very nice just simply doesn't know curly hair well enough. This is about the owner whom argued with me on the phone for 20 minutes when I requested my money back. I have never had to fight with a business owner over a validly incorrectly done service. Reyna was beyond condescending, rude and dismissive. She continued to then claim that I actually now owed her money! She nitpicked the service that I received (a cut/wash and style) and how long the service took (1.5hr) actually makes it that I should've been charged more and actually owe her money now. My curls were beautiful before and I feel extremely humiliated with what I have now, curly hair can be a very emotional subject due to how often we deal with individuals who don't know about shrinkage and shape, how it looks wet is not the same as how it looks once it's dry. It will take a very very long time for this grow out enough to fix, yes hair grows back but it's emotionally damaging having a reminder of something so negative in the mean time. The owner had no regard for this being expressed and only continued to argue with me. She then lies and says that she would give me her personal phone number for me to send the photos of my proof of before and after, to then be sent a phone number that wasn't even hers. The first 2 photos are the before, the rest is what I have now. I've never dealt with someone so beyond unprofessional, please do not support this business. Times are getting tougher for individuals and feeling inclined to save some dollars by going somewhere less expensive should not mean you should have to sacrifice your respect and customer service. Did not receive refund.
