I think they have a lot to offer but they are a tad on the pricey side, These restaurants have to have more specials/deals or they are all going to shoot themselves in the foot thinking the current economy speaks for $20 burgers. The waitress was a peach as I explained I cannot eat that much and inquired if I could order from the children's menu. No problem. Can I please ask for acacias on top with my side salad in lieu of fries? No problem. Sweet. My friend who is a vegetarian chose the Croque Madame minus the sliced ham. They had no problem and she was not given any attitude considering the name of the establishment. Pig.... Ham... Lol. Coffee was given in these adorable thermos to keep the coffee piping hot. Not what it once was. We waited for three years for this place to reopen. They used to have the best burgers and greasiest and most delicious grilled cheese around. But the burger now seems very, very light, almost as if it's a shell of meat and hollow on the inside. My burger was basically all toppings and no meat. The meat portions used to be substantial and it seems like they cut them in half. The grilled cheese was likewise all toppings. One slice of cheese and a huge amount of avocado. It was basically an avocado sandwich. The service was fast and pleasant enough. The setting is cool. I think they're trying to go a little more upscale with it, making it a bar with expensive drinks. I'm just not quite sure that the setting and the menu fit together. But it's definitely unique. I preferred the diner-like atmosphere with big meaty burgers and loaded grilled cheese and fries. I was in the area to see a client and found this place for lunch. I'm a big food lover and honestly, the waffle fries were better than my slightly bland and flavorless burger. I ordered the Jalapeño tempura burger with waffle fries and the jalapeños had zero heat, uncontrollable I understand, but it literally just tasted like a green bell pepper that was tempura deep fried. The burger meat was not seasoned well so the entire burger just didn't have anything special about it. The restaurant itself could also use a cleaning. We did see spotty service to the left and right a few errors in food, but they were very quick to make it right and reduce the check- a classy act. Tried to make a reservation at the Manasquan location for a special event and the hostess was very rude. They don't take reservations unfortunately and after explaining our situation she rudely said " the message says we Don't take reservations!" Knowing that I love burgers, my wife recommended that we have dinner here for my birthday and wow, this place did not disappoint! Everything from the atmosphere, to the lovely staff, to the amazing food was fantastic. The place gave off such a welcoming and sincere vibe that it put us at ease right away. The front desk staff were warm and friendly and our waitress, Trish, was sweet and attentive throughout the evening. But the star was really the food: the burgers are some of the best I've ever had. They really do justice to the Pat LaFrieda meat that they use. The burgers were juicy, well seasoned, and so flavorful! Some places bury their burgers in so many toppings but this place uses them just enough to enhance the burger and not overwhelm the meat. The pickle chips were crispy and cooked perfectly - not greasy or heavy, and the fries are done really well, too. Too many places just phone in the fries but you can tell they leave no item behind here. I can't recommend this place enough! It made for a wonderful birthday dinner experience! read more

I was very disappointed with how rudely I was treated at the commited pig in manasquan. Considering how expensive the menu is, you would think they would treat their customers with more respect. The hostess left me feeling very insecure and unwelcome when I asked to eat my takeout meal inside due to the extreme heat and them having a half empty dining room (Also offered to give a 50% tip to the workers). I was met with the response "no you have to leave." Not how I was hoping to feel after giving them my money and support. Parking/Service: A few colleagues of mine stopped by for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. It's metered parking on the streets and although I was pretty quick to find parking around the circle, two of them had to park on the side streets further down. I arrived second and my colleague came a minute or two before me had already been seated in one of the outside tables with four waters and menus. Very prompt and the seating outside was wonderful since it was nice out. Although the waitress was juggling tables inside and out, it felt like we could reach her pretty quickly. Food: Our orders came out very quickly thankfully since we only had an hour to spare. The prices were decent, around $10-15, but the portions were pretty big. I ordered the Baked Brie burger as recommended by other yelp members and let me tell you, it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. The burger had a spread of fig preserves which along with the crispy bacon created an amazing flavor. Near the end though, it became a little too sweet and heavy for my liking but it was still delicious. My colleagues including one vegetarian all got grilled cheeses which they all enjoyed as well. We all got regular fries with the exception of one who got waffle fries, and even though my regular fries were good, the waffle fries were even better. read more

The fish tacos were so crispy and delicious! I was very surprised since the place was mostly known for their burgers and brunch. My boyfriend got the burgernut which is a double cheeseburger with glazed donuts as the buns. I was skeptical at first when he ordered it but when I took a bite, it was so yummy and different but in a good way! Tasted the fries with cheese and gravy with bacon on top, they were also delish..tried the fried pickles, yikes don't know why, they tasted like fish ewwww and WTH? I've been here a few times because all my friends rave about it but every single time I come I just don't understand the hype. Just went today and got the house-made chorizo and jalapeño omelette.... well there was definitely sausage in there but not chorizo. No chorizo spices or anything like that. And the green chunks which were supposed to be jalapeños were not jalapeños. They weren't even green chiles for some spiced alternative.... they were just green peppers. So I guess I ordered a regular American omelette as opposed to a bit more of a Mexican omelette I was hoping for. On top of that the coffee thermos they give for individual coffee orders was broken and spilled all over our table which was pretty annoying but forgivable since I know they've had those things for a while. The service was whatever. Not great, not terrible. But I'm not someone who ever really cares about that, as long as the server isn't a dick lol. Lastly the tables are sticky as hell every single time I go and I'm convinced they're just caked with coffee, food particles, sweat, etc. from the years and years of having those same tables. I see other reviews saying the same thing, too. Hopefully the owners see these reviews and get new tables or just fix the issues they currently have. read more

The food was very good and the prices were so low compared to what I would expect back in New York. The location is pretty prime with a bunch of theaters, shops, and the beach nearby. The interior design is pretty cozy and the portions are good as well. We got burgers per person and red velvet pancakes just to nibble on as well. This is the coolest damn lunch spot in Manasquan! Don't come here looking to eat something healthy or light - go for the gusto. All of their burgers are double patty packed with creative combinations of cheeses, sauces and other explosive toppings. They also have a wide variety of side options - you can get regular fries, waffle fries, sweet potato fries, sweet potato waffle fries or a salad (pssst - don't get the salad, just get the fries and go all out! They're absolutely delicious!) For those of you 'medium rare' foodies - of which I imagine there are many and include myself - don't be mad at the fact their burgers are either served RARE, MEDIUM or WELL. Just get it medium and you won't be disappointed. Trust me. I came with my friend for lunch around 1pm on a Thursday and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was SUPER friendly, attentive and adorable. When I ordered sweet potato waffles fries with my burger and she came back to tell me they had run out, she was literally sorry. That kind of sorry that you know is genuine when someone really wanted to give you what you wanted but couldn't. Luckily I was still able to feed my sweet po craving since they had regular sweet po fries as well. Aside from that, our orders were taken and filled without error. I got the weekly special tempura avocado burger and my friend got the jersey shore burger. Both were so perfectly done we ate everything on our plates. The tempura avocado on my burger was one of the best fried things I've ever eaten, and actually my first time having fried avocado (where has this been all my life?!). You're likely to not face a wait here during weekdays, but I imagine you'll want to build in a time cushion for weekend peak time breakfast or brunch. Also note it's BYOB for your affordable alcoholic needs :) Mimosas would go well with their breakfast options and a cold beer would be the perfect accompaniment to wash down a burger for lunch.
