    Brie burger

The restaurant is light, with simple wood tables & chairs. The bar has some color. The service was outstanding! It was a late lunch the day before Valentine's Day so it wasn't busy, so the bartender was our waiter. He couldn't have been any more helpful, attentive or friendly. The food was great! The veggie burger was really good, and the side salad was delicious (with a tasty balsamic dressing). The Brie burger was super delicious and the waffle sweet potato fries were hot and perfectly crispy.

Stopped here after a bike ride on the Capital to Coast bike trail. What a pleasant surprise! Didn't know this place existed until today. Everything was perfect. Food was delicious, very fresh; service was excellent (Annie was our waitress and was excellent). Atmosphere was open, airy and beautiful. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Great spot for refuel after a lifeguard comp in Sea Girt. They had a great cold brew which I needed! No pictured were the wings and fried pickle chips the boys had for apps. My husband and I split the PigMac and the Double fried chicken sandwiches. The sweet potato waffle fries were a nice touch. Service was great (thanks for the recommendations) and the decor was cute with the mid matched chairs.

I finally checked the Committed Pig, and wow! It was way better than I expected. Seriously, the place was super cool and stylish inside, really comfy and casual feeling. has a rooftop deck, not sure the rooftop hours. Their happy hour draft beers are great prices that won't break the bank especially for being down the shore. The cocktails were the real stars of the show. They weren't just your average drinks; these were seriously creative and delicious - perfectly balanced and you could tell they used really good stuff. Each one was like a little work of art!.

Visited this past weekend with family for an early lunch. Ambiance is awesome and our service was very good. My sister in law got one of the cocktail specials and she said it was absolutely spectacular. Burgers are way above average as to be expected. Fries were cold which was a bummer. Good sized portions. A favorite spot in Manasquan when we're down the shore.

Had lunch here for the first time today. The Illy Dilly Burger was amazing. Juicy as all get out. The Bartender, Norm, was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

We walked in, and were sat immediately! Server was Amanda. She was friendly and attentive. Cookie dough pancakes 3/10 The pancakes were not bad, but they definitely needed syrup if you got a piece with no cookie dough... If you did get a piece with cookie dough, it was a very strange consistency, kinda weird. It was like a half baked cookie. My 8 year old sister did not like them. I tried hers and wasn't a huge fan either. Chipotle Bacon Burger - cooked medium 8/10 (Amanda recommended this as her favorite burger) Burger was really good. It was cooked close to medium, a tad over, but the flavor of the burger was still good and it was juicy. The cheese was really good, bacon was crispy, chipotle had good flavor, not spicy and a nice soft bun. I didn't really taste or notice the onion ring. Could use a little more chipotle too (and more on the side to dip fries!) Regular fries Tastes almost exactly like McDonald's, but a little better.

I've been dying to check out the new committed pig location! My family loved the old squan location for years and has been craving a baked Brie burger with fried pickles!! The new location has a bar and a liquor license so it is not BYOB like the old spot. Pretty interior & bar set up with fun / funky cocktails. As for food, we got the baked Brie burgers, a cheese burger & fried pickles. The sweet potato waffle fries are great (but need more seasoning !!) ask for honey mustard on the side, you won't be sorry! For drinks, we got rum & cokes, boardwalk lemonade, watermelon gimlet + slow poke fiz. The non alcoholic Arnold palmers were refreshing as well! The boardwalk lemonade comes in a to go cup & is gone in a few sips, but was yummy. The watermelon gimlet was interesting & came with an ant tooth pick lol. I probably wouldn't order the slow poke fiz again, but that's just me! FYI - Summer Thursday's in squan are a little crazy, so we had to wait 45 min - 1 hr for a table for 3, but were able to wait by the bar. They don't take reservations!! There was music outside & the street was shut down for pedestrians only. All in all, Committed Pig is still a top Monmouth County spot!! Excited about their new location.

This has been on my nj list of places to eat for quite awhile now. We ordered the pig mac with waffle fries, illy dilly with waffle fries, and kids pancakes with sausages. I added lettuce, onion, and tomato on my illy dilly; they were very generous with the toppings. I didnt add the pickles because illy dilly came with fried pickles but with toppings the fried pickles were not crispy. I give the illy dilly a 9/10, nice and juicy a very well made burger. My bf gave the pig mac a 9/10 as well. Both burger sandwich were sliding off/ falling apart once you take a bite. Waffles fries were okay theres really nothing surprising but it was crispy.

The girl says yes I said OK. I would like one toasted gluten-free bagel with cream cheese and three to go. One plane and two everything to go. She says let me see if I'm allowed to sell them to you, I thought that was strange. She said we need them for other customers. I was thinking gosh I thought I was a customer lol she comes back and says if you put something on the bagel, then we are able to sell you more, but if you want them just to take home, we can only sell you one of each kind so I said OK. I will take a gluten-free toasted everything bagel and two bagels to go one plain one gluten-free per your rules. Well, I get to my car and I'm all excited to eat it and the bagel is not even remotely toasted. In fact it is not toasted at all and this is the reason why I wanted to bring it home and put the cream cheese on myself, but clearly these people do not understand what the customer is asking for. I wouldn't have my panties in a bunch, but $5.25 per bagel seven dollars for the one that was supposed to be toasted. Seems pretty excessive for you guys to get it wrong. I'm sorry you need to do better. I'm totally disappointed.

We went to Spring Lake beach this weekend and we were looking for a good restaurant. We found Blend…read moreby Chef Lou. It's a nice, quiet venue and the staff were very attentive and friendly. We started with the bread, a focaccia, which was served with an olive oil that had a large roasted garlic in it. It was a delicious starter, and complimented our Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was 'different' - aren't they all? I've been experiencing very different types - the one tonight had a subtle dressing - with a subdued sweetness. The grated Parmesan and Breadcrumbs smothered the salad - when you see the picture, you'll understand. It was a good salad, however I would have preferred less grating and more dressing. Next up, the Waygu Meatballs, in a delicious San Marzano tomato sauce. The meatballs were excellent. I was mystified by the accompanying 'jar' of 'basil' ricotta. See attached picture-it's a large amount of ricotta - I tasted it - it was very creamy but the basil was faintly noticeable. I added a little to a meatball and it didn't enhance the 'bite' at all. I was embarrassed leaving this large jar of cheese. We shared the two entrees - the first, Sea Bass on a bed of mashed potatoes was cooked perfectly and had the most delicate taste. It was 'too delicate', if there is such a thing as- for they say, ' good fish, doesn't taste like fish '. However, the fish needed seasoning or sauce - one or the other, or both. The next entree was the mushroom house made ravioli - a tender pasta with a mushroom filling covered in a creamy, earthy mushroom sauce. We also ordered a side of sautéed wild mushrooms and added those to the ravioli - it was a wonderful dish.

The worst part was some of the tables are very close so sitting next to an obnoxious guy makes it hard to ignore. Anyway, the food: we each got a salad: Caesar salad dressing was in point, but TOO much cheese and the croutons were stale but there were t that many of those so no biggie. Hubby got the Tre colore salad which was a special & he loved it. For dinner we both did specials: chicken rollatini (amazing! Highlight dish of the evening) & husband got the Salmon Oscar which was very good too. Took dresser home as we often do bc we were stuffed: ring ding for 2. WOW! The pastry chef there is a genius and super talented, it was SO GOOD! I had coffee which was fantastic & hubby had espresso also fantastic. We will definitely be back!

As luck would have it, I scored a reservation at Buoys on a busy Saturday night in Manasquan…read more Thanks to an Instagram post, I became intrigued and started stalking the reservations. Persistence paid off. Right off the bat, I loved the atmosphere. We sat outside at picnic tables, and the whole place had a seashore surfer chic vibe. Basically, it felt like a cool little beach hut. They don't take themselves too seriously, but the food was absolutely delicious and refreshing. One thing that makes Buoys unique is that there is one seating each evening with a fixed menu. Everyone is there for the same experience, enjoying the exact same meal together. I really loved that. We were given buckets of ice for our wine, and we were off to the races. The meal was a good mixture of shared dishes and individual entrées, which really fit the atmosphere. They don't alter the food for anyone's preferences. We had a food allergy in our group, so I reached out ahead of time. They were accommodating for the most part and very nice about it. I give Buoys five stars because, while it doesn't take itself too seriously, it takes the food pretty seriously. The whole place is just cool. I've never had a tasting menu that included chicken wings. Tuna "Chorizo," barro, pineapple, herb salad Imagine a tuna tartare with a chorizo vibe. It was stunning and delicious. Everyone at the table loved it. I know pineapple isn't everyone's favorite, but it was the perfect way to balance the smoky chorizo flavors. It was innovative and really memorable. Chicken Wings Jimmy Nardello peppers, savory ranch, 'nduja Getting a plate of chicken wings on a tasting menu was such a surprise. They were covered in this incredible pepper sauce, and oh my God, they were so good. They were perfect for the whole beach, post-surfing, laid-back vibe. That's all I can say. If you're lucky enough to get an extra chicken wing, you're scoring. Orecchiette Fra Diavolo, squid, scungilli, garlic crumb Served family style, this was probably my least favorite dish of the night, but it was still good. The garlic crumb on top made the dish. I found myself trying to get bites with the crumb because it added so much flavor. . Bucette ( Bavette ) Polenta - Miso onions I googled it- Bavette (pronounced bah-VET) is a flavorful cut of beef from the lower sirloin/flank area. It's sometimes called flap steak) Polenta, miso onions, chimichurri By the time the beef came along, I was pretty full. The bavette, similar to hanger steak, was cooked perfectly, charred on the outside and red on the inside. I loved it. I ended up taking it home and enjoyed it the next day. The chimichurri sauce was delicious. Salmon Lentil gremolata, parsnip purée Sadly, no one at our table ordered the salmon, so I can't report on it. Cronut Banana pudding, peanut butter, chocolate mousse Who doesn't love a cronut? Well, this one put all the others to shame. Banana pudding, peanut butter, chocolate mousse. Yum, yum, yum. Again, I've never had a tasting menu that fit its atmosphere so well. Everyone was having a terrific time. Because there is only one seating and one menu, everyone in the restaurant was enjoying the exact same meal together. It created a really fun energy in the room. I peeked into the kitchen, and it couldn't have been much bigger than a food truck. They were working like a well-oiled machine, sending out the same beautifully prepared courses to the entire restaurant. It was pretty impressive to watch. I can't wait to go back. I think I'd better start stalking reservations now for late August or September.
