I brought in several items in on consignment, the terms are non-negotiable it's a 50/50 split. After 30 days many of my items were not displayed or were stuck in a corner of the store with low visibility. The lady that helped me was friendly at first but after 3 months, and not receiving a check, she became confrontational and I was told to remove my items as they were deemed to be trash. Several items were missing and there was no accounting as to their disposition. Very rude, no check and very vague answers as to what happened to the missing items. I'd think twice about using them to sell your treasures. read more

This shop has a wide variety of eclectic items, ranging from vintage tiki furniture to rare and one off vinyls. The owner, Kelly, is a wonderful woman who is both friendly and attentive. She keeps regular specials on tap at all times and this insures her shop has a healthy turnover and is always fresh. First off this store deserves more than 5 stars! the staff is so friendly and helpful & you can tell they are passionate about what they have to offer! Kelly has helped me find everything i've needed from furniture and records all the way to decoration for my home. i recommend the consignment shack to everyone! the selection of cool & unusual decor, kitchen supplies, gadgets, and everything in between is unmatched! they have a HUGE selection of vintage vinyl for anyone starting a collection or looking to add to theirs. The first is that the owner, Kelly, has a great eye for stuff, whether antique, vintage, or newer. Anything that starts to collect dust is reduced in price, so the turnover is pretty fast and the selection never gets stale. Not as easy to get to from all directions, but worth the effort. Parking is not a problem. After several visits I can say there is always something interesting to see, especially at the reasonable price you'll find here. I stopped by the store and looked around to see. I found a couple items and asked the person working there, don't have her name but big blondish short haired woman, about the items. I asked what it was, what's it used for etc...The woman rudely answered, that she doesn't know. She pointed to the label and "read" it for me as if I could not read AND would somehow give me insights into that thing(item)... RUDE! So, I didn't say anything and asked something again..She stated rudely..FOR THE THIRD TIME NOW, I TOLD U, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS OR FOR!!! Gosh gee willy nilly... I saw her happily assisting others and thought I would get the same treatment, but no way in heck. AGAIN...RUDE!!! So I looked around at the item for another few seconds and then put the item down next to the first item I picked out. I then walked out to go and get my money to pay and when I returned both items were gone from the place she said I could put them while still shopping. The woman walked in after I returned and "jumped" exclaiming...."OH, your back! I thought U left!" I said no, went to my car for a second. I said, "your a highly presumptuous person, not good in business or customer service." She wasn't pleased and after the sale, said in a snide manner, "Thanks for visiting!" I responded..."Thanks, but, I know u don't mean it. " She wasn't pleased. So..I am not sure what sparked her rudish manners but it definitely feels discriminating. I just read Nancy's comments on my review of the store, how interesting I find her comments on another unsatisfied customer inviting them to give her store a "second chance", but somehow dismissing my experience as "illogical? This place is WAY bigger than I expected. Lots of unique furniture (some 90s, but mostly true vintage/antique), they also have small knick knacks, lots of glassware. High end vintage pieces. For those who are looking for well made classic pieces check it out! They are not cheap but you get what you pay for. The pieces have allot of history and detail. This is a interior designers play ground. They are helpful in loading as well. So for those of you who say the prices are to high please go educate yourselves. These ladies are AWESOME!!! such great customer service I swear!! I had an old house that my ex INSISTED we furnish from Jerome's. Everything was so "matchy matchy' and I HATED IT! Not to mention every piece of furniture fell apart within a year. I have a new place now and I am SOOOO not a nick nack person but these ladies know their stuff!!! They consign really cool items and the fun is digging through it all to find your prize pieces!! Half of my house is decorated from this place with the other half being from the second best co-sign place in town. I have had only 2 issues in the last 1 1/2 years I've purchased here....one was a stand alone speaker I bought (think beats pill) it was blown :( but I am careless with my receipts, knew I was taking a chance buying it and didn't mind wasting the 10 bucks I paid for it!! The other issue was with the flag.....I bought the most AMAZING, antique, priceless American flag from them.....I was in love the second I saw it. I went today and they had another one just like it but it was over $100 more than what I paid for the last one :( I just chalk that up to me getting a killer deal am knowing that you have to jump on whatever you find or it's gone!!!! I'm picking up a sleeper loveseat tomorrow.....one I've been looking for for years and BAM! They have one and it's PERFECT!!! They just opened a store in OB for their deeply discounted items!!
