Kelly and company have a very cool record shop that you just have to check out. New and vintage vinyl, nice set up and friendly people. I stop in all the time because there's always something unexpected. You just never k is what you'll find. Don't mis it!

Had them shipped to Iowa, Great price & they shipped them in a mighty mailer for extra protection and they arrived in great condition within a reasonable timeframe.. However incurred a minor issue at no fault to the store, inner sleeves were missing, this was a known issue from the record producer on this particular release, worked with Jules at Vinyl Junkies and she worked diligently with their supplier to make things right, took a bit but she got it done and shipped them right away free of charge and in perfect condition.. If you're looking for great service on your next vinyl purchase look no further, these guys and gals are great and they stand by what they sell.. Thanks Vinyl Junkies! & Thank you Jules for completing my album's.. ~ Jason

They also have old cassette tapes, too, if you are a weirdo and a masochist. There are three rooms to explore and a little courtyard in between them all. I have to believe this space was a coffee house or something like that in a different life. The vinyl record collection is the emphasis, as it should be, and it is well-organized. There is some organization to some of the CDs but many of them are just stacked here and there. That is ok. If you are a musical dinosaur like some of us, some of the fun is in the hunt itself. The only drag is parking. Street parking is your only option and it is rough. The good news is there are some cool other shops in this area to explore, like books, beer, food, etc. Well worth a visit for music fans.

And it's a shop first opened by San Diego house legends The H-Foundation -- Hipp-E and Halo (I believe they've both moved out of town.) From the outside it looks like a perfect record store. Big glass windows reveal stacks of flyers, walls of records -- peppered with the occasional classic LP, listening stations, and funky t-shirts. It looks like the perfect little record shop. The kind of place where no matter how few people there's still a thick vibe united by the bond of house music. The kind of place where that makes guys want to stand around on a Saturday afternoon, listening to wax for hours, and lying about the first time they'd ever heard "French Kiss" (and probably about the first time they had a kiss of the same name.) I'm sure that goes on there but I wouldn't know. The "Back in 5" sign I encountered today for forty-five minutes was enough to send me packing. As an Angelo who occasionally works in San Diego I find their hours don't fit with my schedule well so when I had today afternoon free I jumped at the chance to get there. Too bad I never breached those big glass windows. *** = For possibility and effort... at least the shop's standing. Oh...the address -- 909 E Street...that irony is definitely not lost on me.

They house "East County Vinyl" inside which has such an extensive collection of both new and used vinyls that are all priced SO well - we walked out with 5 used vinyls under $30, SCORE (two of them were priced at just $2)! We've already tried playing all 5 of them and they were in pristine condition. Walked into the back and they have a really nice assortment of furniture, art, books, a small rack of clothing, vintage decor and collection pieces alike, all of which were priced very well!! Even though the clothing rack was small, I found this really cool Padres shirt :) The gentleman working today was also very kind and helpful, he even offered to hold the vinyls we found up at the register so we could continue perusing around the store. The consignment and vintage market, especially in San Diego, marks up prices but the Consignment Shack makes it affordable for all! Can't wait to come back!!!

It felt like the old school days browsing through old records and finding great deals... unlike other stores where they overcharge. The owner was sweet and very welcoming which was appreciated. I was able to find a few vinyls to add to my slow growing collection. The other side was more of the consignment area, offering a variety of items, from comic books, to vintage Barbie's, to furniture and more. When I make it back to this area, I will definitely stop by again.
