    Chocolate crackle and snickerdoodle cookies
    Mary Jae L.

Delicious Snickerdoodle cookie! The cookies are a good size and priced quite reasonably for a freshly baked cookie. The chocolate crackle cookie tasted just like a brownie covered in powdered sugar. The cookies were a bit too soft for my preference. The staff was great about answering questions about allergens. The shops smelled wonderful! Easy parking.

Cookie monsters unite! You will love the Cookie Shoppe! I know I did. The hype and 5-star Yelp talk are real. This is an awesome place to load up on your favorite cookies. And there are plenty from which to choose (menu photo). A small, very clean, bright space with a pleasant "cookie" aroma. Most inviting! I stopped by in the afternoon specifically to do some serious cookie tasting business. Owner, Makela, was behind the counter and greeted me with a welcoming smile. While the cookie selection was limited because of the time of day, I still had a good many from which to choose. My picks included chocolate chip, peanut butter, snickerdoodle, Mexican wedding cake, and oatmeal. Very large cookies and by today's standards quite reasonable at $2.50 each. Makela packed them securely in plastic wrap and I was on my way. On my way to cookie heaven!:) A short while later two of my friends and I were deliciously sharing and enjoying all of the cookies. We unanimously agreed about the high quality taste of them all. Soft and crispy in just the right places. Total deliciousness. And we were excited to have an affordable option for a yummy dessert and/or gift idea so close by. Who would not want these yummy treats! Yes, as the T-shirt states...BAKED IN FOLSOM. Come and get your cookie monster fix while supporting a locally, woman-owned, small business! Thanks, Makela, for setting up "Shoppe" in our neighborhood. Me want Cookie!:)

    Lots of cookies!

These cookies are delish and definitely taste homemade. I like that they are not too soft and not too hard either. Clean interior and lots of cookies were available! I enjoyed all the flavors I got: snickerdoodle, peanut butter chocolate chip, chocolate chip, and the m&m cookie. The only downside is they are not open on weekends, which makes trips out here rare for me.

Best cookies! The frosted sugar cookies on Fridays are my favorite. We bring these to family parties and they're always the first to go. So good!

Do ya' love a yummy fresh baked cookie and don't want to pay outrageous prices? Well then, you should check out The Cookie Shoppe in Folsom. They recently opened up for business. Yup, they are a hot, new biz. They have a pretty large selection of various cookie flavors. The cookies are flavorful with a moist center. Nice, big fat size. Pricing is roughly $2.25 a cookie. My favorites are the chocolate chip coconut spice, pumpkin chocolate chip, cowboy, and chocolate crackle. But I gotta tell you, the more flavors I try... my list of favorites tend to increase. The owner worked at The Cookie Shoppe in Chico when she was a college student. She feel in love with the cookie business and opened up her own shop. Lucky us because she makes a darn delicious cookie. The shop is currently open Monday-Friday 7:30am -5:30pm. Drop on by and treat yourself to a cookie.

I noticed this place as I was taking my Mom to the bank next door. Otherwise I would have easily missed it. The owner was present and managing the store. She explained they have been open for about 6 months. The place is very clean and displayed many different cookies especially variants of chocolate chip. And I just happen to be a huge huge fan of chocolate chip cookies! The prices are very reasonable and about half the price of a Crumbl cookie. I brought home 9 cookies and found them to be soft and very tasty. I hope the word gets out and there will be enough patrons to support this local business.

Although, I didn't check the time and saw that they were closing at six so I called around 545 and asked if they're able to stay in later so I can pay for my drink and I can order on the phone and the person on the phone with me said ' yeah I can stay back till 6:15' . AsI rushed over here, my time went up due to traffic and I let her know that and she said that 'as long as I get in before 6:20 it's gonna be ok' thankfully I got here at 6:18 and as soon as I got in, she handed me my drink, and as I paid for it, she offered me a custard on the house, and I happily took the custard. I told her that I was going to see a movie and that I needed something to drink before I saw the movie and she understood and listen to me as I was talking. Definitely would recommend going here! People are very accommodating to a situation, and like I said, they never disappointed with their drinks and I can't wait to try custard pastry!

The service was fantastic from start to finish. We had the chance to chat with Julian himself along with a couple other staff members, and everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The stars of the meal were definitely the breakfast wrap and the bacon, egg & cheese croissant. The breakfast wrap had the perfect balance of scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned potatoes, avocado, and cheddar cheese. Everything worked together without any one ingredient overpowering the others, and the salsa on the side was a great addition. Honestly, it's one of the best breakfast burritos/wraps I've had. And the croissant... wow. It was absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the croissant was light, flaky, and buttery, and every bite was packed with flavor. The Nutella crepe was also very good. The crepe itself was perfectly made, though there was a little more Nutella than I personally prefer. Next time I'll probably ask for less, but that's purely a matter of taste. The avocado toast was the only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me. It was good, but the honey flavor dominated the dish and drowned out some of the other ingredients. I'd love to taste a little more balance there. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality made for a great breakfast. We'll definitely be back, and I'll be dreaming about that croissant until then.

They insisted I find the order number so they could confirm I was telling the truth and that "they didn't undercharge me for the drink". Real nice. If you're in this part of town, I'd skip this place and go a couple doors down to the Coffee Republic instead.

My son absolutely loves their cakes and cupcakes, which is the ONLY reason I ultimately went through with this order. For my son's birthday, I contacted Pretty Sweet about a small custom cake and was quoted $175. Since the cake was much smaller than a cake I had previously ordered from them, I asked questions about the pricing and what went into the quote. I wasn't demanding a discount or refusing to pay, I simply wanted to understand why a relatively small cake was $175. Instead of simply answering my questions, I received an email telling me that, after our conversations and revisions, they felt they "may not be the best fit" for my order and were declining it because they were concerned they couldn't meet my "expectations." I was honestly shocked. I've ordered from this bakery multiple times. I wasn't trying to haggle with them. I was a paying customer asking a completely reasonable question about something I was purchasing. Despite how I was treated, I called because this was for my son's birthday, he specifically loves their cakes, and I was willing to pay the $175. Unfortunately, the phone call only made the experience worse. Danielle was incredibly rude and dismissive. She said everything she wanted to say while I was expected to sit there and listen, but when I tried to explain my side, I did not feel that same courtesy was extended to me. I eventually asked to speak with the owner because I couldn't believe this was how a repeat customer was being treated. After Danielle spoke with the owner, my order was ultimately put back in place, and I DID purchase the $175 cake. I followed through with the order because this was my son's birthday and I wasn't going to let an unpleasant interaction take away from something he was excited about. But that will be my last purchase from Pretty Sweet. It's unfortunate because we genuinely enjoyed their products and I would have happily continued being a customer. But no cake is good enough to justify being made to feel like you're a problem simply because you asked a question about the price. I paid their $175 asking price. They got the sale. But because of the way I was treated, they lost a repeat customer. The cakes may be sweet, but unfortunately, the customer service left an incredibly bitter taste.
