Located right on Fremont St, Backstage Bar & Billiards is a venue I went to a couple of times when I lived in Las Vegas. I've seen bands like Letter Kills and Maylene and the Sons of Disaster as well as the likes of Cryptopsy and Abysmal Dawn. The last show I went to at the venue was said Maylene and the Sons of Disaster show in what I believe was May of 2024 (I'm catching up on venue reviews). The venue itself is a decent enough size and mostly consists of standing room only, though a few chairs for what I assume is ADA are usually lined up against the wall. The sound here was always solid enough and I don't have any complaints over that and the merch area was tucked away enough in the back that it didn't get in the way of the show itself. Overall, Backstage Bar & Billiards is a solid little venue that consistently has pretty decent shows. The staff here always did what they needed to do, and my only real complaint is that I wasn't able to score Green Day tickets here when they did that special show, but either way, it's a solid enough venue.

We were at the Rio to see a show, and after the show decided we wanted to keep hanging out there and enjoying. At one of the bars we randomly stopped at on the property before the show, one of the bartenders gave us a buy one get one free cocktail for VooDoo Lounge if we went. And there was no cover charge to get in! Sold! We decided to head up there after the show. This spot is locaed on the 51st (I believe) floor of the hotel but you enter on the second floor and take an elevator up. After a quick check our IDs and search of our bags and whatnot, we were able to take the elevators upstairs. As soon as we got there, I booked it for the outside patio. I mean, come on, you have to! This is really what sold me. WOW! It's STUNNING up there! Amazing views on the Strip unlike anything I've ever seen before. There was also a DJ up there and he was playing great music. For a Friday night, it wasn't super busy, but still really nice. We were able to sit wherever we wanted, as the tables and lounge seating was totally open for everyone to enjoy. We took in the beautiful views and each had a cocktail. Our server was outstanding and did a great job waiting on us. Sadly, we were getting a Vegas thunderstorm underway so the DJ had to stop and security all ushered us inside. Still, nonetheless, this was such a cool experience and one I'll continue to talk about. This is the second time that I have been to the Brooklyn bowl. We came to see Juvenile, and man was…read morehe a hit! Not only did he come, but he came with the 400 degreez band as well. There is a dance floor with plenty to space for you to shake a tail feather, and as I can recall, there are three or more bars inside as well. Service was great. We were greeted as soon as we got to the Venue, and at each bar that my friend visited. Thankfully, parking for Brooklyn Bowl was validated inside of the retail store that inside of the Brooklyn Bowl, itself. With that validation, parking was free. We will definitely be back for another event. There is also a lot of entertainment in the areas surrounding.

Originally when I first started coming here, parking was a huge issue on my mind and it definitely made me come here less, before I discovered that you could get parking validated at the little shop before you leave and that was a total game changer. The venue itself is pretty massive once you get on the main floor, and if you don't feel like standing during bands you don't care for, you can even chill on some nice chairs and watch on TV screens. Now, I can't actually comment on the bowling or food aspect of this place, but you can bowl for an insane amount of money that is definitely not worth it, as well as order some food which I simply never bothered to do. Throughout the years I've seen artists such as Poppy, The Gaslight Anthem, The Ghost Inside, Hatebreed, and many others and the sound here has always been pretty top notch. I no longer call Las Vegas home, but shows are one of the things I would definitely find myself back for so who knows, I might just return here one day and I look forward to that. Overall, Brooklyn Bowl is a great venue in a cool spot right on the Lynq Promenade. The staff here has always been friendly, parking is plentiful, there's tons of food options, and since it's mostly either here or the House of Blues, most music fans will end up here at some point!

We saw The Heart of Rock and Roll (Huey Lewis and the News Tribute) this time. We have seen them here in the past and simply love this group. They do a great job at performing Huey's hits and have great trivia during the show and old videos playing during the shows. You can tell this group of talented singers and musicians really have fun performing on stage. The do a meet and greet after the show. If you love the 80s and Huey, this is a show you have to see. And if you haven't seen a show at the Southpoint Showroom, you got to check out this venue. Parking is also free. We already have to see Shenna Easton around the last weekend of August 2026. We have seen her here in the past and she puts on a great show also, amd of course is still as beautiful as ever. A couple other great tribute bands coming are ForJoury (Foreigner/Journey), Bohemian Queen (Queen), Forever Fab (Beatle) and ABBACADABRA (Abba).

Of course a good EDM nightclub would be the best, but hey, you can't get it all. We were given free admission to the club and were also given free table admission, and we did not need to buy those expensive bottles. They told us they just want people to experience the new club and show. It was a great burlesque dance show; a performer comes out around every 30 minutes to perform at least on the weekends. I'm not sure how it works in the week. We ordered a couple of shots, and some drinks came out to about 60 bucks, which is good for the amount of drinks we had, and just spent an hour and a half ish enjoying the vibe. It was fun but pretty empty. I guess after the dancers it turns into a nightclub, I was told, but I'm not really sure how that works because no one was really there. Such a disappointment because the place has a lot of potential, and I hope that they get the word out and people start coming in more. I wish nothing but the best for this club and look forward to returning at a later time.

Definitely worth seeing. We didn't plan ahead for table or bottle service, so we ended up in standing-room-only, which made it a little harder to fully settle in and enjoy the show. That's on us though--next time, we'd absolutely book a table. Drinks were the biggest sticker shock of the night. Two margaritas on the rocks, one Jack and Coke, and a beer came out to $108 before tip...ouch. Vegas prices are one thing, but that one caught me off guard. One thing that didn't sit quite right--before the show started, some performers were walking around in robes collecting tips, and I overheard a dancer respond pretty sharply to a guest saying, "I'm a dancer, not a cocktail waitress." Totally understand being proud of your role, but it felt like a simple misunderstanding and the delivery came off a bit harsh. That said, none of it ruined the experience. The show itself was great, the vibe was fun, and it's definitely a spot I'd go back to--just with a table and a little mental preparation for those drink prices next time.

On this trip, I finally did while in town for the Chris Brown concert. This lounge is Black-owned, and truly Black-owned, in the sense that they actually own the building the lounge is located in. That is something I admire and respect. I was expecting the lounge to be super busy due to a very viral post I saw on TikTok. However, when I arrived on Saturday the 20th at around 8:30, the space was occupied more so by a wedding party. When I walked in, I assume it was the owner who welcomed me and had me sit at a table. Shortly after, a member of the bridal party greeted me and connected me with a bartender who provided excellent service. I was especially looking forward to this visit because earlier that day I had horrible experiences trying to get food and service at other restaurants. I had been craving wings all day, so I was excited to finally order some here. The bartender made me a drink I had never tried before, a piña colada on the rocks, which was excellent. I ordered lemon pepper and barbecue wings, Cajun fries, and shrimp skewers. After not eating all day, the food hit the spot. It was flavorful, filling, and priced more than fairly. Honestly, I could not imagine having such a good experience at this price point back home in Atlanta. What truly set the night apart was when the owners, Rome and his wife, came by and personally introduced themselves. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable. From now on, this is absolutely the place to be for me whenever I visit Las Vegas. One thing to note is that the vibe may vary depending on the events taking place. On my visit, the music was catered toward the bridal party and also a 50th birthday celebration. It seems like the lounge is rented out often for private events, so you may walk in and find a party happening. Classic Jewel lived up to the hype, and then some.
