Tried The Corner Grille for the first time today and I'm already planning my next visit. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just the right mix of class. I ordered the Salmon Opelousas, and swapped the rice for mashed potatoes--absolutely the right call. The salmon was perfectly cooked, tender and flaky, with a rich, flavorful sauce that had just the right Cajun kick. The mashed potatoes were creamy, buttery, and smooth, soaking up all that delicious sauce like they were made for it. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell the staff really cares about the food and the guests. If you're looking for a spot that delivers bold flavors with Southern flair, The Corner Grille is a must-try.
Every single dish was so tasty! The Kale & Artichoke dip was a perfect starter to share and came with wonderfully seasoned house made pita chips and salsa. The Kale & Beet salad was hearty and fresh with the refreshing vinaigrette. It does come pre-tossed in some dressing so personally, I didn't need to add more. The Cajun Chicken Pasta is the alternative to the seafood pasta and even though it's not listed on the menu it is definitely available and was recommended by our server. The desserts did not disappoint either. The raspberry syrup paired with the Blondie was a great lightly sweet and tart option while the beignets were more indulgent paired with four different sauces, including a pecan bourbon which did not disappoint. We went with a medium sized group and they were accommodating with the reservation, seating us in the upper area. The vibe is homey and cozy yet eclectic. Service was phenomenal. Our server offered awesome recommendations, was attentive and knowledgeable. Parking is available right behind the restaurant and can be accessed from the street closest to the entrance, however there is ample street parking available as well.
When I first walked into The Corner Grille, I was hopeful for a great evening. A young woman greeted me while heading upstairs and said someone would be with me shortly. After waiting five minutes, she returned and asked if I'd been helped... when I said no, she just said, "They'll be right with you," and walked off again. I ended up waiting around seven minutes before another young lady finally seated me, but her hesitant and dismissive energy made me feel more like an inconvenience than a guest. I tried to shake it off and stay positive, thankfully, Kris completely turned my experience around. His energy was upbeat, welcoming, and so refreshing. He asked if I had visited before, and when I said it was my first time, he lit up with genuine excitement. He offered great menu recommendations and highlighted a few of his personal favorites. I decided to go with Kris's favorite: the Cajun Chicken Sandwich, and wow... I'm so glad I did. The chicken was perfectly fried, the Cajun seasoning was bold but not overpowering, and the slaw added the perfect crunchy, tangy balance. Absolutely phenomenal! I also took Beignets to-go, and they were the perfect sweet treat to end the night...soft, warm, and just the right amount of sweetness. All in all, Kris saved the experience with his top-tier customer service and thoughtful suggestions. Thank you, Kris, for making my night memorable, I'll definitely be back (and I'll be asking for your section next time!).
Lovely neighborhood restaurant with tasty appetizers and entrees as well as a variety of wine be cocktails. I'd recommend the fried calamari and brussel sprouts for appetizers, I've had the grouper and Salmon Opelousas entrees which I'd go back for and a friend has the lemon pepper chicken which he enjoyed. The service was superb and the bartenders were lovely if you sat at the bar. The restaurant is experiencing a happy hour which we just missed but I'd like to check out. The restaurant has two levels, too!
One of the good things that came out of the Delta meltdown that kept me in ATL two extra days is I was able to try The Corner Grille. Realistically there would have not been a reason for me to try a restaurant in the College Park area since I rarely stay in that area when visiting. The service at entering was warm and friendly as was our hostess. It's a cute small sport with a cajun American spin on their dishes. We ordered Shrimp & Grits - very tasty I liked that the cheese was in a sauce vs being cheese grits Fried Catfish & Shrimp - Nice portion and well fried Cajun Seafood Pasta - nephew loved this dish and a nice amount of seafood Beignets Sweet tea - I loved it because it was lightly sweet and not the typically overly sweet southern style
4 stars for location. Parking. And time for server to acknowledge us. The shrimp Cobb was amazing. I'm not one for spring mixes but this absolutely worked well together. With their jalapeno ranch. Def has a kick but it's not something you can't manage. And as I've gotten older, I can't handle spice well, anymore. The restaurant itself is very cute, inside. Great spot for lunch/lunch meetings. Healthy options. Price worked well w/ with quantity provided.
Great service from our waitress! The food was pretty good. We ordered the salmon on kale salad, which was fresh and flavorful. I got creative and made a crab cake sandwich by ordering the appetizer with two smaller crab cakes. The kitchen kindly combined them into one larger cake, which I placed on their toasted French bread and topped with their tasty coleslaw. For dessert, we enjoyed the beignets with pecan caramel sauce on the side. A satisfying meal overall, but not 5-star because I would've loved more crabmeat in the crab cake, and the hush puppies were disappointing. I like hush puppies that are traditionally a little sweet, but these were too salty and blended with shrimp. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Yum! The Corner Grille is à delicious southern restaurant located on Main Street. Plenty of free street parking out front. I stopped by for brunch on a Saturday. Brunch ends at 2. We had the lemon chicken, blackened catfish, and beignets. We were told by the hostess that there is bottomless mimosas. That was not accurate. They also have upstairs dining which was full when we arrived but looked cool from outside.
So I usually don't come on set of town but I was here. The corner grill has been on my list of places to go to for a while and I'm glad I got a chance to check it out. Their street parking there so you don't have to worry about a lot. It's a two-story establishment so you may think that it's not that much space but there really is because they have a whole upstairs. If decorated nice and clean and very brightly lit. The spot itself is very small one appearance but they make it work. They have a bar, not a pool bar but they have enough if you want to order. So if you did need to go ahead and get some liquor it would be an issue. The brunch they have is only for Saturday so if you look on that online and want something for the brunch menu you would not be able to get Alexis designated a specific day for it. But the food that they have elsewhere is good though. Our waitress explain everything to us of menu so we know exactly what we were getting and what they had and did not have. She was super nice and friendly and make sure we had a lot of time to decide. The beignets for good. The shrimp and grits were good even though I didn't get that. Either of getting the case or pasta and it was amazing. Some of the best Cajun pasta that I've had. It was nice and season to perfection. It just the right amount of sweet spice to it. I have the brussel sprouts as a side, they weren't that many but they were still though. I would order all of it over again. Overall I would definitely suggest trying to spot out. It did not miss at all! Everything was good! Again, just floating back to the Cajun pasta, man! They did their thing with that!
Enjoyed an early dinner on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were greeted by the nice hostess and escorted to a table upstairs. Our waiter was really friendly and helpful with the menu. I ordered the Cajun seafood pasta which was delicious. The only problem is the excess oil that was just sitting in the pasta after I ate a few bites. I also tried the beignets which came out warm. They were so good!! Felt like I was in New Orleans. I would definitely come back and try some other items.

Oh my gosh. The food at this restaurant is DELICIOUS. I ordered the Lemon chicken and broccoli and I'm still licking my fingers now just thinking about it. The sauce for the mashed potato's paired so well with the tenderness of the juicy chicken breast. And I would've never thought to cook broccoli in the way that they did, but it was so good. Very friendly staff, quick service and cute environment. I love the intimacy of the corner grille and the ambiance of the restaurant. Great place to go to catch up with friends or even a nice date night. I refer this restaurant to all my colleagues, coworkers and friends. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in College Park, GA. read more

Very nice ambience. The grouper was ok but the vegetables that came with it were amazing! We also had the seafood pasta which was also really tasty and fulfilling. The Bartender was friendly as well. Overall, the experience was pretty good. Would defintely come back. read more

Omg! I loved everything about my visit today. My friends and I met for an early lunch and it was delicious. The crispy Brussel sprouts, the fish and shrimp, and the corn fritters were cooked to perfection. The star of the show was the kale artichoke dip... the seasoned chips were amazing! I mean...this place is perfection. It is so cute and everything from the service to the food to the drinks were A+++. I came here Saturday evening for dinner. Our server Vanessa was amazing! She was so warm and sweet and jovially answered questions about the menu and the restaurant. I got the seasonal sangria to drink, the lemon pepper chicken with the potatoes and broccoli, and the brownie a la mode for dessert. Y'all. The entree came out piping hot. Even halfway through my meal, my food was still hot. It takes a bit to get your food, but it is so worth it. Everything is made fresh to order and you can tell. The sauce was everything and tasted good with all of the items. Everything is customizable. For example, my friend ordered the gumbo but didn't want pork in it, you can just let them know and they won't add it as they make everything to order and put the seafood/meat in last. Very few tables so prepare to wait, but the wait to sit down is 100% worth it. The service was stellar once we sat down. It has a very cozy vibe. The food was some of the best food I've had at a restaurant in a long time. Everything was homemade and tasted like they had been cooking it all day just for us. This is a really cute place. We didn't have to wait to be seated. I had the French toast, cheesy grits and breakfast potatoes. My food was average. The grits could have had more flavor and been a little more creamy. My friends had the Cajun Pasta and it was DELICIOUS! I would recommend the pasta if you're wanting something flavorful. When we arrived there weren't very many people there, but it took a while for us to get our food. That was the only issue we faced while there. read more
Soooooooooo...delicious. This food was really good. Pleasantly surprised. All the eateries in the neighborhood had lines out of the door, but this food was line out the door worthy. I had the blackened catfish off the Saturday brunch menu and a side of bacon and side of kale with garlic. All yummy. My dining companion had the gumbo. This is his go to spot when he comes to Atlanta and gets the gumbo. I tasted it and it was good. But that blackened catfish tho!!!!!! Yes, please! Definitely a must visit if in the college park area. If not for the consistency alone, not a fad, but just delicious food. And I had two glasses of rose prosecco and it was really good and I was lit! Also, this restaurant does not do that stupid Atlanta black tax where they include gratuity to every check. We like our 20% tip to be voluntary. read more

The name may fool you but go. It's completely worth it. It's a lovely name but I wasn't expecting this caliber of cuisine. The food is just as delicious as the cocktails. The waitstaff wins you over by being genuinely warm and friendly. These people care about their restaurant. Bravo! read more

We had to stay 1 overnight in Atlanta after a 17 day trip to Portugal. we dined at amazing Micheline rated restaurants but nothing compared to the lamb shank at the corner grille. Fabulous ! Service, food and wine...just wow, sure made our commute back to Texas worth an overnight in Atlanta read more

Great local restaurant in the heart of historic College Park. I had family in town and we didn't want to drive too far in the city, so we stopped at The Corner Grill. I made a reservation and the table was ready as soon as we arrived. No over booking!! The host and wait staff were the friendliest team of any restaurant in Atlanta. I was greeted with a smile and they were so pleasant. The food was hot and the portions were huge. My niece had the waffles and strawberry (I believe ) topping and sauce and it was enough for two people. I had the fried catfish with lobster sauce and there was WHOLE LOBSTER chunks in the sauce! I was very surprised. The drinks were great also and we had a great time. They are following COVID guidelines and the tables are spaced, so you only show up if you have a reservation. First impression is everything and this place knocked it out of the park. Lamb shank had amazing flavor and such deep richness to the sauce that it just melt in your mouth. I also ordered the salmon with mushroom sauce and it was a dish I've never tasted before in my 5 years of being in the culinary industry. I personally got to talk to the Cook Glen and he is so talented at what he does. He described a dish to me before I even tried it and I knew it was going to be the best dish on the menu. Presentation of the dishes were a work of art and the food came out relatively fast. Everything from service to ambience was on point. This place is a must visit if you're visiting Atlanta or just stopping by the airport for a delayed flight. read more

Great breakfast on Sunday morning at the Corner Grille, it is located immediately across the street from the College Park MARTA station which is only one stop from the airport. If you're looking for a good meal and want to get away from the airport, this is a great option for you. There was a solid wait but the hostess suggested I could sit at the bar immediately so that's what I did. Service there was okay and the only thing wrong with my meal. My waiter took long enough to get me a cup of coffee (the first one had a bright purple lipstick ring on it) that I only had time for one cup by the end of my meal. I chose the seafood omelet and it was delicious. Not a huge portion but there was a sufficient amount of shrimp and crab and a tasty sauce. I skipped the sides as potatoes and fruits aren't on my program. My other complaint was that it was seriously loud in the restaurant. 80 decibels (I used an app on my phone) is shouting loud. I ordered to go/take out. There is a 10% charge for take out orders which I would have appreciated had I known upfront. I found out when passing the take out window and reading the advertisement. Didn't pick up my food there because it was night time when I picked up my food and that side street is sketchy to be outside by yourself making a cash or card transaction. Inside is super cute and has that home comfort feel. But it is small. Orders are to be placed online. When I called to place my order online the lady on the phone told me I had to place the order online. It took me a Google search to find the online ordering page because from their website I only saw the menu not the page to order. I ordered their blackened salmon (medium well because I didn't want it charred or over cooked especially if I had to reheat later). It was cooked perfectly. Salmon was succulent and moist. Not dry or over cooked and that Cajun crawfish cream sauce really did it for me! I'd order this again in a heartbeat. I also ordered their Cajun seafood pasta which was good but I wouldn't order it again because it had an aftertaste that reminded me of Lays BBQ chips. I guess heavy on the smoky Cajun flavor. It comes with garlic bread which was VERY HARD. I didn't enjoy it unfortunately and I love garlic bread which disappointed me since I was looking forward to it. read more

So thankful we found a spot still observing social distancing with table placements and every single staff member was properly wearing a mask. We ordered the shrimp and corn fritters for an appetizer, which didn't like enough to get again. But we loved our entrees. I had the special, the rainbow trout and grits, delicious. A nice kick on the blackened skin of the trout. My friend got the Cajun pasta minus sausage bc she doesn't like it. She loved it and finished her food while there. She said the Cajun wasn't as spicy as she expected but it was still packed with flavorful. The restaurant was already incredibly clean which obviously is really appreciated. Second time visiting Corner Grille. I came a few years ago for lunch with my daughter. Drove right after church for brunch and thankfully we were first in line as you will need to get a reservation. The host said that it's less likely to get seating even if you call the same day. They follow good Covid measures with seating upstairs and downstairs. Started with pineapple and cranberry mimosa and beignets. The beignets were good. It doesn't have marmalade which was fine as it's good as is. The inside was soft. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken is seasoned well and fried nicely with a little crunch. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The sauce is awesome and the dish had plenty of shrimp. It has bits of pork which brought a good flavor to the dish. Our server is very good. She filled our drinks quickly and even brought a plastic container for our extra beignet prior to us asking for one. Very pleasant staff. A good restaurant for brunch. Nice atmosphere and felt very good about their pandemic measures. I will definitely be returning. read more
Very chic & modern environment with plenty of attention to social distancing. We were sat upstairs & I think this would be a great place for a private event (birthday dinner, bridal shower etc) I ordered a mule & didn't realize until it came that they don't serve hard liquor so it had sake. the sake made it very flat, can't lie i did not enjoy it. I would say the star of the meal was the shrimp & corn fritters. Not something I would normally try but my friend suggested them & they were delightful (I don't even use that word ) For my entree I had the shrimp & grits. They weren't awesome but they weren't bad. They were just okay in regards to flavor. BUT i sill add points for the size of the shrimp & the generous portion. They definitely did not skimp me & I appreciate that. read more

100% RECOMMEND!!! The hostess was so professional upon arrival. The restaurant was decorated with real pink roses which I loved!! Our waitress deserves an award too!! How informative she was regarding the history of the restaurant and variety of dishes and recommendations explained. As a foreigner, the Fried Cajun chicken sandwich with a side of sautéed kale was hands down THE BEST MEAL IVE HAD IN THE USA after being here 8 months. What a lovely grill!!!
