Swung into the corner pub for a quick bite as I was craving some buffalo wings. This quaint little bar is everything you love about "a corner pub." The service is friendly as were the customers who stuck up conversion . I ordered wings and was surprised . For the record , I don't prefer breaded wings so when they came ( breaded) I gave a little sigh ... I was really impressed upon trying them how crispy and tasty they were. The bleu cheese was perfect and fresh as well. Very good meal highly recommended!!

This was definitely the go to bar spot while in Boston. Pam and her husband are the owners and they are THE BEST. It is a small chill place to hang and have drinks. Pam and her husband will take care of you and make sure you alright. I came across this bar on Yelp and they were like how the heck you found us! They not a big advertiser of their business. They keep it small and a family type feel vibe. They do sell food here too. I tried their house wings with a side of buffalo sauce...delicious! They also made a pizza which wasn't bad. But the wings were really fresh and good. The drinks are decently priced. I just enjoyed the atmosphere here and the vibe. I can't wait to return here when I am back in Boston. They do have a lottery drawing you can play there and such funny bar decors.

Steak and Cheese Eggroll and Mac n Cheese Eggroll

Came here on a Thursday night before Christmas Eve. Right as we got there, the worker had written on the door they are closing at eight when it just turned 6:30. Seating ourselves, we were informed the kitchen close at 7 o'clock so we were quick to decide on what to order. We shared the steak and cheese eggrolls as well as the mac & cheese with hot dog egg roll. We built our own burgers including the mushrooms, peppers and onions cooked to medium. Compared to other steak and cheese egg rolls I've had before, these were not anything spectacular being on the dry and over cooked side. Same goes for the Mac n cheese version in which my half barely had any hotdog because of how it was cut. However, these factors could have been due to them trying to close and wrap up for the night. The burger was great though, perfect for those drunk nights you want to get something fatty and comforting in your belly. Both the regular and sweet potatoes fries were crispy and soft filling. The brioche buns were always appreciated but a side pickle really would have made it even better. In the short time there, we were able to order their mixed drink which comprised of pineapple juice, vodka, and a few other ingredients making an easy drink to sip on while waiting for food. Would like to come back at an earlier time/different day as I can tell it has a great and comfortable vibe to hangout with friends and maybe get to know others.

Stopped in here for a quick drink while waiting to head back to New York on Saturday afternoon. They had some outdoor seating, along with inside seating. I opted to sit inside. There were a few tables occupied with one or 2 persons. I ordered a margarita, which was reallyyyy good. The bartender was really cool. She switch up the music and started playing Beyoncé and Rihanna. Talk about knowing how to read the crowd! This was a cool place to stop in for a drink. I'd definitely return with some friends next time!

This has become the "eat, pray, love" of dive bars. Sometime during quarantine (when I wasn't looking), they replaced all the legit dive bar deco with banal sayings on dollar-store plaques in pastel colors. Imagine throw cushions that say "it's wine o'clock somewhere" and pablum like that. (Okay, maybe not cushions, but your maiden uncle would think the place was cute.) That's not how to run a dive bar. There's a dive bar I know -- a legit one -- that has a shelf tucked in behind another shelf on the back of the bar which is full of random liquors, stuff that nobody drinks, like, maybe, bubblegum vodka or... and there's a handwritten sign on the shelf that says "$4 shots." It's been that way for years. It's known as the four-dollar shot shelf. (And yes, I have. And, no, NOT the bubblegome vodka, for godsakes.) This is what the Corner Pub used to be like but The Corner Pub has gone corporate. They've painted a big mockup of the Green Monster and have a formal fancy board that lists "brown bag shots" and "Mystery Beer." It's just not the same when it's scrubbed. It's like when mom sees that you're collecting beer can labels and decides to help out. Uh, mom.... Up the block there's another legit dive bar that has its wine list on a white board. It says: Red. White. That's it. No meta self-conscious aren't-we-cute stuff. While I was sipping my coors lite, I started to wonder if I'd imagined the earlier Corner Pub and so pulled out pictures. Nope. The Pub has changed, and not for the better. Oh, you can still get cheap(ish) drinks and stoned bartenders. You can still get corned beef egg rolls (and other weird wonders of the dive world), but not as many, and not as cheap. Okay, I know, Covid forced everyone to streamline. But why wreck the dive vibe?

This is the bar I always wished was in my neighborhood! Great beer and awesome bartender. A couple taps were kicked (it was a stupid hour on a sunday, so it really didn't interfere with anything) but there was plenty of good stuff on tap and bottles. Had my family with me (the pub wasn't my original destination, i should add) which felt awkward at first, but we were made to feel right at home and other people came with kids later and everyone was greeted by name by the bartender, so apparently its family friendly during the daylight hours. read more

I liked this place. We came here just before lunch time and the bartender was great, and attentive. We played Jenga for an hour or so, nobody rushed us, nobody bothered us. When we had questions on sushi spots, the other customers were so friendly and nice. It was a good time. Definitely recommend this spot if you just want to relax and a have a couple mixed drinks. read more

WEGGIES, WEGGIES, WEGGIES!!!!! Why they did they ever change the name! Even the new owners calls it Weggies.... In the Leather District next to District. A great local bar with intriguing characters serving locals and clients waiting for their train out of Boston from South Station. Cheap beers, $2.75 and great pub food! Open until 2AM every evening!! The service at Corner Pub couldn't be better! The staff is so thoughtful and professional and truly cares about their customer. They've done an incredible job during COVID keeping precautions in mind while still creating a welcoming environment. We can't recommend it enough! Went here for my friends 21st birthday a couple of nights ago. The entire staff was unbearably rude and unhelpful. We even called beforehand to make sure they were ok with our group coming and they acted like we never did that. Absolutely do not recommend if you're in Boston, much better places. read more

From the outside I wasn't expecting much from this place but my mom and I were looking for a quick weekday lunch and had my baby with us so needed somewhere not too fancy or small to accommodate a stroller. I was pleasantly surprised to find a good lunch spot with such nice servers (who understand what a milk protein allergy is!) and just seem to like their job and are nice to be around. My mom got tacos for taco Tuesday and loved them and I got a burger (they made sure everything was dairy free for me) and it really hit the spot! I will definitely be coming back here again. read more

This place is a great locals pub. The area it is in is difficult to find a good dive bar, where you can just relax and enjoy a cold domestic beer. They have craft if that's your thing, but for me, I like the mainstream beers. Sticky floor, loud crowd, friendly. read more

Absolutely awful service. Never go here to eat. The woman working the bar was extremely rude and arrogant. My friends and I went out for our buddy's 21st birthday, we made a reservation and when we arrived they acted like we never called and didn't know who we are. Absolutely ridiculous. Came here on 2 diff nights while visiting Boston. Friday night the place was slammed (standing room) and some people even got turned away due to max capacity. It isnt a very big space so when its very busy its a bit difficult to manuever to the bar. The ambiance is fun and casual. The crowd varies on age. They have a variety of board games, and a juke box. Menu is typical bar food. Their nachos were really good! Buckets of budlight will run you around $17. Not bad for the city. Saturday evening was a lot quiter with less people. Would return again. read more

The Corner Pub is the renovated Weggie's on Lincoln Street. I went to the Open House last night and the place looks new and shiny. There is now a kitchen and the bathrooms are MUCH better then before. Deb and I are super sad that Naked Lady Photo Hunt has been replaced with a golf game but I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will come back soon. One nice thing I need to say about Weggie's, um I mean, The Corner Pub, is how much the owner's appreciate their customers. Last night there was tons of free food and free Buds and wine. A guy dressed as a DRAGON came in to celebrate around 7pm. They always throw an awesome Christmas party with tons of free food and they also have candy around Halloween. This is hands-down my favorite dive bar. I love this bar and this bar loves me back! read more

My first beer was warm but after for a colder one, I got a cold one and the barmaster gave me the first one for free, and that was good. Cheeeep apps at happy hour. Homey place. I'll be back. Went back again, and once again, the beer was just a little warm for my taste. Maybe I'll wait until summer is over before going again. read more

Awww, yeah. It's cleaner, it's just a wee more refined, but you won't feel like you've ventured too far from the old and familiar. Drinks are still fantastically cheap and by the time you're eating the food you've ordered, it's all going to taste good, if you catch my drift. This place is crazy, I mean the bartenders are funny. The food is good bar fare. From the outside, people would think its a dive bar. But they strive to keep things clean. It's great to go and hang out without it getting too crazy. Drinks are awesome and you catch some crazy and entertaining going's on. read more

Went on a Wednesday. $16 pitchers of great draft beer and $1 apps until 7! We got buffalo tenders, mozzarella sticks, and nachos and all were delicious (especially the wings). Definitely recommend for a cheap drink and bite and servers were very friendly. read more

I was visiting Boston from LA for a work conference and wobbled into The Corner Pub for a nightcap on the way back to my hotel. Unfortunately I left my phone there and had to fly out the next day. The staff at The Corner Pub was AWESOME and kindly mailed my phone back to me -- without any racy selfies! Huge thanks to them and a recommend for anyone passing through Boston in need of a beverage. You know, lots of bars are filled with douchebaggery, leading to poor musical choices on the shared jukebox. But come here and stand your ground and program your tunes, talk to the amicable and globetrotting bartender-owner, and enjoy adult beverages and other such comestibles to your little heart's content. read more

They have a night menu and that's all a girl really needs. The tater tots with cheese and bacon will leave you craving more and not regretting the calories the next day. The prices aren't too bad and the crowd is a solid mix of locals, frat guys, and hipsters near and far. It's somewhat narrow layout makes the bar look super crowded even if there aren't many people around. The service was so so but the after hours menu is actually quality (compared to its local competition) so it makes up for all the above. read more

This place is awesome. Found this on Yelp by chance while out in the theater district, and was really pleasantly surprised. Food & drink selection is great, the music is the ideal volume, and they have board games. A perfect combination of chill and fun. read more

I didn't get any food but it looked and smelled good. They seem to specialize in hamburgers. The drinks are really cheap. I had seven imported beers (Heineken) and my tab was $31. Not sure about the cocktails. The best part of this place is the vibe is so fun. It's a great neighborhood bar with an awesome staff.

Moral of the story; if you are going to be a phony then at least have a good burger, cold beer and good service.

The veggie stir-fry dish was inedible. I returned it after the first bite. Unless you enjoy food straight out of a mall food court in 1985--stuck in time, and not in a good way. They should be ashamed to offer this as the ONLY vegetarian option: too sweet, too sticky, and completely underwhelming. The manager did acknowledge that this dish is not well received in general. So why is it still on the menu? Overall, the experience didn't live up to the reputation or the reviews we had seen. If you're in Boston for that classic seafood experience, I'd honestly look elsewhere.

The food itself was also delicious and a reasonable price with large portion sizes. I would definitely come back for brunch again or to try their dinner!

Used to live in Boston. Passed through here while waiting for a train at south station. About 8pm on a Friday. The bar was busy, not the tables. Never been here before. Loved the staff- very welcoming and helpful. Funny too! Sadly, some of the worst food I've had in Boston. I understand the concept of this place, (it's meant to be a classic neighborhood dive bar) but seeing the bartender rinse off dirty glasses in the sink and use them on other customers... Pretty gross. I've worked many years in the food industry. This is an example of poor management! I had a burger. It was grisly. The lettuce was thawing and the tomato mush. Normally when something is wrong with my order I speak up but I'm pretty certain there was nothing they could've done about those accompaniments. The meal of course had nothing to do with the service, whom I tipped the normal 20%. It just wasn't good food... At all. The Corner Pub is the renovated Weggie's on Lincoln Street. I went to the Open House last night along with the place seems new and glossy. There's now a kitchen as well as the toilets are A LOT better then before. Deb and I are super depressed that Naked Lady Photo Hunt was replaced with a golf match but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll return shortly. One pleasant thing I have to say about Weggie's, um I mean, The Corner Pub, is how much the owner's value their customers. Last night there was plenty of free food and free Buds and wine. A man dressed as a DRAGON came in to observe around 7pm. They consistently throw an incredible Christmas celebration with lots of complimentary food and in addition, they have sweet around Halloween. The corner pub has been our go to place for afterwork hours drinks. Its got the basics of a pub and drinks are priced reasonably. Parking is tough if you are driving but taking the MBTA train to get there is probably the best bet. Variety of beers on tap and bottled. read more
