Friendly staff, Tuesday nights are great for karaoke however it was cool at first but if your not a hippy like me they start to treat you like a outcast I feel like they talk smack behind peoples back if your not a hipster, outdoors smoking is great! I'm an insta-fan. We came after our volunteer event at Dearborn Animal Hospital for a beer on a Sunday afternoon. Brunch specials abounded as well as $4 bloody marys. I zeroed in on the chorizo and egg tacos. I love breakfast tacos soooooo much (and associated acts, like huevos rancheros and migas) and when I see them on the menu, I always have to try them out. I gotta be honest: when the plate was laid in front of me, I was a bit thrown by the appearance of my tacos. The eggs seemed overdone and the sausage looked, well, odd. I poured some salsa on top and took a bite. HEAVEN. The potato action on these babies are ridiculously great and the eggs and sausage were perfect. They were so good that I ate one entire taco before realizing I didn't have any requisite avocado on my taco (which was promptly provided, btw). What's more is that the jalapeno cheddar grits were perfect. The jalapeno was raw which gave a crunchy spicy bite to the creamy, cheese grits. My friend has always hated grits and I made her try these, stating "This is what good grits taste like..." And she agreed. Bingo, Corner Pub! The menu looked amazing with loads of reasonably priced options for vegetarians and carnivores alike. Libation menu also looked good, but gosh, on this hot Sunday, the sweet tea was perfect. I will note that the waitstaff here doesn't seem to be vying for Ms. Congeniality awards, but at the same time, any error that was pointed out (i.e. missing items, forgotten dirnks), was promptly remedied with a smile. I really can't complain about that so in my book, the service was good (kind of nice to not have a waiter chat your ear off anyway!). Did I mention complimentary wifi???? A friend and I stopped in here on a Sunday evening a few weeks ago. Atmosphere: Laid back, a few steps up from a dive bar. It felt more like a grill/bar than a pub. Servers were friendly. Food: Friend and I shared an appetizer, the pimento cheese dip and each ordered a burger and fries. I haven't had good experiences with pimento cheese dip, but friend insisted we get it. It was so good! It's not like the deli pimento cheese I'd had before, this was a mix of pimento and goat cheese, and it was delicious. I ventured to Corner Pub for the first time on a Tuesday night (which happens to be karaoke night) and it was the best decision I've ever made. I went because of an awesome groupon special they had, but now that I know about it, I will definitely be back! Anya, our server, was so helpful, informative, and hilarious. I went here today for lunch because I was excited to try their sliders that I saw on Uber eats I was going to get it delivered but decided to just go and pick the food up myself when I arrived I saw that they were no longer ordering the sliders that I want it so I decided to try their nachos and let me tell you it was by far the most disgusting thing I had ever eating in my entire life where do I start oh I can start with the burnt tortilla chips I'm not sure what kind of cheese did you use but it was hard and in clumps I paid an additional two dollars for chicken.And it was hardly any chicken or the nachos I could not even eat it. Also on the menu though nachos were priced at $11 but my total came up to $18 this place is a complete rip off it's gross it's nasty and I was very disappointed and upset if I had Time I would have to take it back and ask for a refund I like supporting small businesses but this place it's horrible they need a new cook .I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN !!!! This is one of my favorite bars/restaurants in Atl metro! The patrons are diverse, friendly, welcoming, and fiercely loyal. Everyone is treated with the utmost respect and equality, no matter your ethnic or social background. The karaoke is the best in the city; with great singers, a fantastic KJ, and a great audio set up. The food is utterly delicious and it is even a great atmosphere for kids durning the day. That being said...if you mistreat the karaoke equipmemt, are rude and obnoxious ALL OF THE TIME, or are awful and entitled toward the staff: THIS IS NOT THE BAR FOR YOU! I ended up at the Corner Pub by mistake. And I am so glad that occurred. I ordered the Hot Nashville sandwich with fries and Iced tea. Everything I ordered met my standards. The pork loin was perfect (tender and juicy) the pork was dipped in a house made hot sauce that was so tasty. It was spicy but I was able to handle it. You can order it on the side and take baby steps with it. The fries were perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The iced tea was really good too. I wish I had a picture to show my meal but I was so hungry that I dug right in. I highly recommend this pub to anybody! Oh yea customer service was awesome too! The only thing I had complaints about was the fatty edges left on the pork loin. But I'm sure the cook would have cut that off for me if I knew they served the pork loin with the fatty edges. read more

Having been to this establishment twice, I think I can safely say it is a good place for family and friends. It has a relaxing atmosphere and you don't feel underdressed in jeans and sneakers. It's a good neighborhood place. The food was good and fresh. Much better than typical bar food. The beer list was also good. There was a good number of microbrews to choose from as well as Guinness on tap. Why not 4 stars? Well, the first time we went there, the waitress was nice but didn't make us feel at home. The second time, a different waitress was all business and cold. Maybe it's just me but a large part of a good neighborhood pub is the fact that the staff makes you fell like, even if it's your fist time there, they want to know your name the next time you come back. read more

Great place! Awesome friendly service. I hadn't been here in a long time. I had the Cuban on a pressed hoagie bun. Well... Wasn't a giant fan, tasted like a fried bologna sandwich with cheese and pickles. The "rosemary/garlic" mashed potatoes had no rosemary or garlic flavor, but they were good just the same with a little pepper. I love Corner Pub! Friends and I went for beers after work on a Friday afternoon. It was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised. Corner Pub has a great beer selection AND menu. There was only one server working for the restaurant, so at first, the service was slow, but as the evening went on more servers showed up, so the service got better. I had the basic nachos (chips, cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes), they were a good app, but nothing to write home about. I also had a black bean and rice quesadilla, which was delicious! The inside and outside are nice on the eyes, staff was very friendly and very helpful with suggestions. Prices were very fair, my only issue was with the food. Excluding the poutine fries and fried okra, everything else was either not to my liking, or just not to me. (With the items we ordered). We had a friend join us, who decided on the same sandwich has my girlfriend. He didn't like either. I'd definitely come here and have some drinks again for sure, not to crazy on the food. I had dinner here last night, and I must say that it was pretty good, but I wasn't overly impressed. We went in because they have half priced entrees on Monday nights, however neither one of us ordered an entree. They had a decent selection of 5 or 6 entrees, but both of us opted for a sandwich instead. I had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and I did enjoy it. The bread was really good and the sandwich came out smoking hot. My wife had the Jerk Chicken Sandwich and I was not as impressed with it. The jerk seasoning was a little off, too much clove and cinnamon in my opinion. I will go back as they do appear to have really good drink specials through out the week and even on the weekends. They also appear to change up there menu seasonally, so I'll be interested to see what entrees they have next time I head over there. read more

Went in for lunch and got the wings and catfish tacos. The wings were phenomenal and the catfish taco was packed with freshness and flavor. The atmosphere was very chill, cool and very nice place. Unfortunately they were understaffed and the lunch hour rush came in. It took a while for us to receive our check. Ahhh, TCP, my favorite place to eat outside of my kitchen at home.... Great, wonderful food - and among the best you'll find anywhere in Decatur, especially in the pub scene. It's easy to get healthy, high-quality eats that also happen to be really delicious (the baked wings and posole are out of this world). They typically have a pretty impressive draft beer selection and regular drink specials too. There are always good people at The Corner Pub and the staff and owner are super nice, awesome folks. I'm often pleasantly surprised to run into friends or neighbors. It's a really comfortable place to be and very welcoming. They have customer appreciation days and awesome chowder, jerk, and other cook-offs that are lots of fun (and tasty) to attend, though I've never entered a dish. I see some negative food reviews on Yelp and I can't believe we're talking about the same place. I mean the food is AWESOME here and I regularly eat at those fancy pants joints like 246, Iberian Pig, and Kolbeh so it's not like I've never been in an upscale restaurant to know how the other half lives. I gave this place a second chance, and I am woefully sorry that I did. This food was just terrible. Even the French fries were dismally bad, and I mean they tasted rancid. My grilled cheese arrived overbuttered (and I like butter) with the cheese all over the plate and only tangentially related to the bread. The French dip was made with subpar meats and tasteless cheese, and the au jus (a very easy dipping sauce to accomplish in the kitchen) was much akin to sewage. The only thing that redeemed this place for me was the handsome and friendly waiter. This place needs to go the way of the now-defunct Figo next door and open the way for a different restaurant that represents the quality we have come to expect in Decatur. read more

Corner Pub is my local bar. I go here more often than any other place in town. Food is good, atmosphere is good, always a fun and eclectic crowd hanging out here. Since my favorite trivia place cancelled trivia on Tuesday nights, my group and I are going to probably settle in here for our weekly game. I love coming to The Corner Pub. It has a very welcoming and warm feeling. The bartenders are always attentive and friendly along with the servers. My favorite thing about The Corner Pub is that you get the small pub feeling, mixed with good service and tasty dishes. That is a recipe for success in my eyes! I have a gluten allergy and The Corner Pub offers gluten-free options which is fantastic since not many pubs offer this. Most pubs that offer gluten-free menu selections serve dishes that just aren't very good. But that isn't the case here at The Corner Pub their selections are all very tasty which is a plus to the gluten-free eaters. My favorite menu selections are the tortilla chips with black bean salsa for an appetizer and the Airheart as an entree. read more

The food makes me happy every time. My sister lives right down the street, so it's a go to when visiting her. Everything is fresh, the tuna melt is out of this world good and there's a great rotating quality beer list (although they also have the good old standby of regular domestic beer for the less discriminating palates- like some people I know and love prefer to drink, which makes it a go to for us in the Decatur area). Food is reasonably priced and generously portioned, the beer selection ranges from cheap domestic specials to microbrew offerings and European imports, and the service is friendly and attentive. Patio seating is nice on a warm night, and quieter than the indoor bar area. Daily specials and nice-looking brunch offerings give plenty of reasons to come back any day, any time. The Corner Pub is a great little neighborhood bar, not too divey, with cheap drinks and an accommodating atmosphere. There are pool tables, for those interested, and lots and lots of seating at tables inside and out, at the bar, and, I dunno, probably on the floor, too, if you really wanna get creative about it. The bathrooms are single-use, a feature I actually prefer in bars, because equality. We were a little skeptical about going given some of the unfavorable reviews about service, but we had a scoutmob and figured we'd give it a try. We walked away impressed by our experience. Our waiter (doubled as bartender I believe) was attentive, timely and very professional. We had a couple beers and two entrees. I had the catfish (3 good sized fillets) with cornbread and squash - very good and quite filling. My partner had the Posole Roja which he very much enjoyed as well.
