Located at the Camarillo outlets, this store specializes in discount name brand makeup, basically the Estée Lauder umbrella brands. You can find Smashbox, Bobbi Brown, obviously Estée Lauder, Clinique, MAC, many others as well as various perfumes. Because it's a discount store you won't find every single shade... but you can try all you want from the testers! I like coming here for MAC and I've sorta scored on the few times I've been. I got a sheen supreme lipstick for $14 (original retail $20) and regular lipstick for $11.25 (currently $16) so it's a nice discount. A lot of the stuff is from collections that weren't too hot or colors they discontinued but it's ok. They also have the previous year's holiday makeup and brush sets (not sure on pricing but probably cheaper than retail) so that's cool if you missed out. This last time they had a bunch of bb cream, and prep/prime corrective powders, maleficent lip gloss as well as beauty powder, and other stuff. The employees are nice and willing to help out, unlike some stuck-up employees at the mall!! I'd definitely recommend this CCO!! The 45 mile drive is worth it! read more

I want to preface this post by stating that I am a frequent shopper of the Cosmetics Company Store. I've frequented several locations especially in Orange county and LA county. I decided to visit this store since I was traveling to Ventura County for Labor Day Weekend. I have generally positive experiences at other locations, however my visit to this store was disappointing. Initially, I was greeted by a couple of associates that asked if I needed help. However, things took a turn shortly thereafter. I was looking at the the Tom Ford makeup section and wanted to try some concealer testers. I moved to find a mirror close by in the adjacent bay, and I was immediately reprimanded by an associate named Michelle. The tone and inflection in her voice was very off putting and accusatory and I was met with immediate reproach. I informed her I was simply looking for a mirror and I was told that the testers needed to stay in the same area. Mind you, I was merely standing about 10 feet away from the Tom Ford display. The store was crowded and it was the closest mirror in my view that was not occupied. I would understand if I took the testers and went clearly across to the other side of the store or a third or fourth bay over, but that wasn't the case. I have NEVER had any associate at any of the locations I've frequented reprimand me about where I need to stay to try on a tester. I decided not to purchase the concealers after all and the manager I spoke to also didn't make things right. It's unfortunate that this incident put a damper on an otherwise overall positive shopping experience at the outlets in Camarillo. read more

Was my first time going today, i was at the outlets and i needed a new powder so I figured might as well go check them out and see the discounts after all it is an OUTLET, some of that stuff was not any cheaper than at sephora or nordstroms. Tom ford make up was regular price for the most part. I get a far better deal during sephora's sale. The girl at the register was really nice the rest of the employees however did not say a word when we walked in, although once they noticed my mother and i were looking to purchase quite a few products (not because they were cheap simply because it was the convenience of needing them and being there already) they gave us a basket. Maybe when they have sale's it's worth it? Idk didn't seem worth it to me. read more

Aside from the questionable "discount" merchandise, it seems the only requirement for hiring staff is that candidates must demonstrate proficiency in rudeness. I love shopping at the cosmetic company store. They have really good deals and specials on their various makeup lines and skincare lines. I been there more then 8 times since 2021 and maybe 20 times more by phone order.There was only 1 associate with good attitude ,handy and good knowledge with customer service. Currently I got big issue name with J H, Super rude .Last time I was placed order by phone, and one of foundation was shot so I'll remind her on the spot and she told me she will fix it and ship to me. couple days later the order arrived my location with perfect condition no damage no open box . and when I open the box Everything is perfect except one of the foundation bottle was missing,i order 5 bottle of foundation . In the receipt it charged five bottle of foundation but physically just fours bottles foundation has arrive. If so, I report to the store and she the one pick the phone and told me she did correctly and don't know why item missing , Even those she try to skip me with busy reason ,she don't have gut for admit her fault and she try to put blame on me.After couple phone conversation ,she will report outsider manager for this issue. Our last time there the woman who helped us was incredibly rude. Rude to the point of getting a call from corporate from us. I believe she's the manager. Her name is Rose. She basically said, " oh YOU are the one the girls always talk about who always wants their original receipt" (We weren't. It was our first time). Even still, is that an outrageous request? She did things in a haphazard way and, surprise surprise, we got a xeroxed receipt instead of the original one and just like we suspected, they gave us grief for having a xeroxed copy and not the original. This is an awesome store for what they have to offer. They have discontinued items, overstock, special packaging, limited edition sizes, etc. One of the sales associates told me that the prices marked range anywhere from 10%-30% less than retail! She also told me that they usually get shipment once a month so that's why they have a limited selection. They sometimes have sales where the discounts can be up to 50% off! I love this store!!!!!! They have great prices! Specially when they have their sales! I got a double wear foundation for less then $20!!!
