There are three courses here and it was confusing to find the right one. I also left my PW on 15th hole on Saturday May 9th 2026 and nobody has returned it so far. If you're reading this, please return my club because they dont sell Women Kalea gold clubs individually. I need it! The courses are fun and easy to play. Course was nice for a juniors tournament but the old man in the golf shed was not pleasant and called us a stupid nigg3&$ for not reading the sign. Our mistake it was out first time there and we thought we were taking the right path to the driving range. Hope he has a better day. read more

I go to the counter to talk to the guy running the ball station but he wasn't there! he was out yelling at some kids trying to play the short course while i'm waiting for my range balls. overall I would much rather go to any other range in the area. not friendly or efficient staff. read more

Admittedly, I had low expectations based on other reviews, but we were in town for a guys trip and it was recommended by a friend living in the area so we checked it out. We played the Traditions 18hole course. We were paired up with another twosome due to being busy. In addition the starter mentioned they just switched to 8min between tee times. It was a pretty slow round due to this. I have never played anywhere that the turn did not return to the clubhouse, however they had a stand in between 9 and 10 that had several snacks and beverages. I was surprised there was not a beverage cart though. Carts were nice. Had GPS screens, Bluetooth music from your phone to speakers in the cart. From a course management perspective, it was great. Tees, Fairways, and Greens were in great shape. Out of bounds areas and cart paths were well maintained. Nice variety in holes and they were not on top of each other. Tee boxes were nice and separated from previous holes. There were a few holes that were a little confusing to navigate to. My only recommendation might be some increased signage between holes. Of the 3 courses we played in the DFW area, this was in the middle for price range and by far our favorite course to play. Exceeded expectations! Already talking about going back with the buddy who lives near by next time I am in town. read more

Nice practice center at this course. Had a large chipping area that required a purchase of a tube of balls for access and use. Only three bucks so reasonably priced. Nice putting green with challenging putts and angles. Driving range is on mats only but it's good enough to get you warmed up for a round. I've played the nine hole Players course which is not challenging but good enough to get into the swing of things. They also have the Traditions course for 18 holes. read more

Wow! This is a nice course. It's an 18 hole public golf course that "feels" private. The design and layout of the course feels like it should be a private course. The greens are in great shape as well, lending itself to that "private" feel. Of course, it's pricier than most places I've played, but you can see the difference when you play here. It's not a terribly difficult course but its challenging for intermediate golfers with a fair amount of water!!! And with that, it makes it actually QUITE difficult!!!! Older blonde lady had quick snappy responses when asked about a refund for an online booking. I had booked for 2 but my +1 could not make it. Because I booked online I was not entitled to a refund according to her. Once I got on the course there was a green keeper dealing with the 1st green. I waited 6 minutes to hit. Once I got to the second hole I waited another 5-6minutes to hit because he was on the second green.. been here multiple times and this is the first time I had gotten such rude service and glares from the lady and first time I had to wait for a green keeper.. I left after 2 holes, not sure if I will be returning. read more

Went here to practice and as I pulled up I was impressed. I came to try out my new irons so I was only utilizing the full range but noticed a great short game area with a putting green as well. I had no issues with paying the $12 for 90 balls but when I retrieved my range balls I was highly disappointed with the following: -90% - 95% of the balls were in terrible shape -75% - 85% of the balls were dirty. Dirty enough for me to clean them prior to hitting them -25 - 35% of the balls had large chunks of mud on them. The balls appeared to have been picked from the range and no effort was made to clean them. I came to the range because they advertised on their website, "Sunday: 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. (RANGE ATTENDANT ON DUTY) and "Lighted driving range (LIGHTS ON UNTIL 9 PM DAILY). Both of these are 100% FALSE. Prior to hitting all of my balls I decided I would use my third and final token (because I have no desire to come back to this range). I proceeded to the ball machine and didn't notice any signs stating the range was closed so I inserted my token and nothing!!! No signs or anything stating they had shut off the machine so I lost one of my coins (I'm guessing about 30 balls). As I returned to my bay to hit the remainder of my range balls it was getting dark, no lights came on as advertised and no Range Attendant on duty to ask why the lights were not on and why the machine was turned off. In closing, I strongly dislike posting anything on Yelp as I'd prefer talking to someone in person. I only state this because I am in the golf business as well and hope this review gets to the attention of management because I'm sure they are aware "a little attention to the details goes a long way" and more importantly if someone were to have a less than perfect experience at my facilities I would want to know about it so I can fix it. So, I played the 9 hole course at Chase Oaks. The first thing I noticed when I arrived was the staff. On Friday when I played, the staff was friendly and uplifting, which is what I'd expect from any golf course, so great job there. I came back and changed the rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. I'm really into customer service and being treated well, so when I get treated like I don't belong, I DON'T LIKE IT. There are lots of golf courses in North Texas, and lots of GREAT deals. A major ingredient in any businesses success story is going to be how well the customer is treated and if he wants to come back. I came back to this course because of how well I was treated the first visit only to be treated like a second class citizen the second visit. SAD I played again on Saturday expecting the same attitude from the staff, and I gotta say, they were JERKS. Just not the friendly attitude you'd expect from a golf course. Wow, what a change and how disappointing. After my second day, I wanted to buy something, the old geyser in the pro shop wouldn't even look at me or bother to get off the phone. The grounds were spotless, the course was clean and it played fast. We had a couple boneheads hit into us, but that is not the fault of the course. One more thing. This was a little challenging. I have not played an executive course with this many long HARD holes before, I got my money's worth. It was a great spot on executive course. Great golfing!! Most of the employees here suck. The range guy is awesome and so is the restaurant staff. Everyone else including the head pro is trash. Ghosted me for 3 months while trying to set up a large group, which we have easily done in the past. I don't know what stick is up their butt, but I've been going here for 15 years and won't be attending any more. Constantly giving me the run around and not actually listening to what we need. Just 5 full tee times. That's all we asked and he continued to say he's not holding tournaments. Bunch of lazy bums. Not to mention they use shtty mats at the range every day. I wish I could give a negative. These peoples customer service skills are absolutely horrible. I gave them my card number when I set up my tee time at 9:00am for 3:15, when I show up for my tee time, they tell me I do not have a tee time, which was not a big deal, it is when they said I did not call in or get a tee time set up and said "we'll if you set up a tee time I would have it, so obviously you did not give us your card number" is what made me upset. Instead of trying to help me, they insisted I never called and argued with me and told me when my card is charged come back in a few days, which is unacceptable. The lady at the pro shop is absolutely horrible in terms of customer service. I will never step foot on this course. read more

I and my regular golfing partner go to the course almost every weekend. The front desk staff typically are very friendly and the 18 hole course is well kept, especially for a public course! This, coupled with the 9 hole course, 6 hole short course, chipping, putting, and driving range makes for a fantastic all around training and playing facility! I play here frequently. The course is almost always in great condition. I've played both the 18 and the 9. 18 is a wonderful contrast with the front 9 being picturesque and difficult, the back 9 being more open, flatter and easier to score. The 9 is a great place to sharpen your iron play. I do understand about the staff. From time to time they can be a bit cranky - you would be too if you had to deal with some of the idiots I've run into on the course. I used to come to this golf course for lessons and for short games. It does have a nice layout and it looks wonderful, but the one of the coaches there is just so unorganized. If are beginning out and want to test the water of golf then this is the place to go, but if you are trying to advance and continuing progressing in golf, I don't recommend this place. One of the coaches was always trying to delay lesson time from 1 hour to about 45 minute each day from talking to other coaches to waiting for ten minute late classmate doing NOTHING. This coach would also always change every swing from driving to putting almost every 2-3 weeks. He would also let us choose what to do in class every time and we would do chipping, for an example every lesson. Then when I came back from a tournament I told him all the things I need to work with and what he told me was, "I knew that would happen." Like are you supposed to help me or ruin me! read more

The course was in decent shape. There was zero Marshals on the course. 5 hours and 20 minutes for a round is unacceptable. There were 2 staff members in the clubhouse and a starter outside. One of those three needs to be riding the the course finding who is slowing down play. On top of that our cart died on the 6th hole and we needed to call the clubhouse and have them bring a new one out. They did quickly, but shouldn't you check your carts to ensure they are charged enough to make a full round? I don't feel the need to make a review often, but I had to share just how disappointed I was in the experience. After the round I complained to both the starter and club house manager and neither seemed to care and both blamed the other person. If you can choose to play ANY other course in the area, play there. read more

I like the course a lot in fact we play this course about 3 times a month, the people are friendly, food is decent, club house is well maintained, the restrooms are clean however the MAJOR problem for the 3 rating is that they do not have a Marshall on the course to ensure the pace of play is maintained again because I've played the course a lot I've noticed this to be a regular problem. Me and my business partner came to golf while out of town on business. Waited all day for our 4:00 tee time. Rented clubs, bought balls, spend over 200 between the both. Ask for coolers they rented us that and ice. We put our beer in there and go ask the guys in blue where we tee off and immediately started yelling saying we can't bring Bear. We said we didn't know were from out of town and would bring them back to my truck. Then asked where to tee off. Their boss came over and YELLED if your going to argue leave. After asking again where to go after we drop beer off they said you should know and walked away. To make things short we returned our clubs and went to dinner. read more

That's ridiculous but this group was teeing off from multiple boxes and practicing putting after holing out on every hole. I put up with it for 3 holes then I called the pro shop and they did nothing. Waited 5 more holes and laced a shot that I knew would roll up on them (would never hit a liner into someone). One of the kids got mad and we got face to face. He's saying he can't go anywhere and I asked him how he knows if they're not trying to. This kid isn't part of the story though. They almost had a fight on their golf course because they couldn't simply drive out and tell that group they can't play 5 and to hole out and get off the green. Excellent Muni course! Chase Oaks is a public course in the Plano/Allen area. It is a perenial "Top 10 Public Course" in Texas. Plenty of trees and water make for a challenge, but shouldn't strike fear in even the most random golfer. Forgiving fairways and greens, and reasonable bunkers really help. $35 green fees! Tee one up here, youll be happy you did. read more

I played this course a lot back in the 90's, and the 18 hole course was always more than enough for anyone's game. The nine hole course was a very demanding short course. I moved back to the area recently, and went there to practice. The practice areas are very nice with a large range and a very large nice short game area. There is a sign in front of the chipping area that says check in to the golf shop before using the area. I was planning to get a bucket of balls anyway, so no big deal. I told the kid at the golf shop that I wanted to practice my chipping and putting. He said that it would cost $3, but if I bought range balls it was free. No problem. He then told me to use these yellow balls in this tube for chipping. I explained to him that I didn't play with that type of ball, and that ball doesn't react he same as my ball, so i'd like to use my ball. He said that they prefer I use they use the yellow balls, but since I'm buying a bucket of range balls, I can use mine. So, I started practicing, and a guy from the course approaches me and tells me I need to use the yellow balls. I explained to him the same way I explained to the kid, and that the kid said it was OK. The guy was nice, but he insisted that I use the yellow balls, because that is how they control the number of players in the area to prevent a log jam of practicers...it was 4 pm, and there was 1 other guy practicing. After some back and forth, I said forget it. I won't go back. Never seen anything like it. read more

Wow. I am amazed that Chase Oaks is rated this high by Yelpers. Granted the course layout was interesting and challenging, the condition was just terrible. First off, the tee box ground was so hard I broke several tees before I could stick one in the ground. The fairways were in similar condition as well. The ground was so hard it felt like hitting a ball off a hardboard. I felt more comfortable hitting the ball off the rough than off the fairway due to the ground condition. Unacceptable in my opinion. Fine looking course, but not so fun to play in... Service was fine and the pro shop was pretty nice. But I don't think I will pay the price for the "worse-than-cheap-muni" conditioned course. I won't go back until they learn to take better care of their land. read more

Took my 6-yr old son on his first (real) golf outing here (I don't count the times he came along just to play in sand traps). They have a 9-hole course in addition to an 18-hole course, and the 9-hole was perfect for my son and I. They were nice enough not to charge my son any green fees. Though it's a relatively cheap public course, I must say that the course is relatively well-maintained. It was challenging enough for me, and easy enough for my son to enjoy. He was so proud of his drives that safely clear the streams in play. read more

Practice, practice, practice!! The practice facilities here are better than average to say the least. The 9 hole course that runs around the lake and next to the freeway is a great way to get in some swing time without committing to a full round. The course is good too as the conditions are consistent throughout. I'd definitely put this course in the top 50% of the area. Affordable enough for anyone to play but not so cheap that you should be concerned about the quality of the conditions. If you're on the edge as to whether or not you should play this course because of what you see when you drive by, just know that what you see next to the freeway is not the 18 hole course. The "big boy" course is set well back from the noise of the road so that you won't be distracted. Make sure you're getting all the info you need to make your decision on where to play next.
