This place is very family friendly. It's a coffee shop and an ice cream shop. My kids LOVED their ice creams. They also offered vegan ice cream options. They have a really cute seating area inside with a huge chalkboard that my kids loved. The employees were super sweet and friendly. We were immediately greeted as soon as we walked through the door. I pass this shop often when I'm on road trips so I think I found my new favorite spot to go to. I definitely recommend and can't wait to visit again.

We love coming to the coyote cone. We always get their specialties: the snake bite and the desert dog drinks. The kick from the cayenne really hits you with a punch which is just the thing you need before Joshua Tree. The ladies running the store are so friendly. The interior also has a bunch of Knick knacks/souvenirs to bring home to your family. Come here if you're in the area to support such a sweet local business.

If you haven't been to Coyote Cone yet make sure you get by! The new owners Steve and Gwyn are adding new things all the time! Everyone is great there and the drinks and ice cream are awesome! My hubby always gets his favorite the Snakebite. Myself, I like to always change it up but two of my faves are Gimme S'more with a little more sweet and the Date Shake. And we always share the Ham, Egg & Cheddar English Muffin if we go by in the morning. And if you're looking for nostalgic candy and unique gifts this is the place to go! I come here so often to get a breakfast sandwich and iced tea/coffee. So far my favorite drink is the honey vanilla iced latte! They also have a super full bulletin board to see what's going on around town and a cute lil library.

This place got 5 stars for a reason. Been coming to Jtree for years and I've never been or seen this place. Took my 3 y/o to the park for a day of scrambling and exploring. And wanted to get him a fun treat before the drive home. Opted to skip out on boring Rite Aid and came here instead. It was well after dark and there ain't much outside lighting but we came for ice cream so we weren't skipping out. Service was friendly, our banana split was bomb, and the little one had fun looking at the community books. Even found one to take home! Will be making a stop here every trip from now on. Lil gem

Love this little place! Thrifty Icecream flavors, coffee, shaved ice snow cones, dessert treats... everything is so good. Kids love the stranger things Icecream sundae. Also has a cute little retail section and book lending library. Staff are always so nice and welcoming.

This little gem of the desert is a must stop! I was going camping out by Indian Cove and stop for some ice cream; BEST DECISION EVER! The employees were such darlings and they answered all my questions. The shop itself has cute decor and little souvenirs you could purchase. They had FIRE vegan ice cream!($4 a scoop for vegan) The salted caramel one really hit home. And for $4.80 for 3 scoops you honestly can't go wrong!

Fantastic little ice cream shoppe with the biggest selection of treats anywhere! Ice cream, froyo, shaved ice, coffee, floats, candy, baked goods, you name it and this place has it! They also have a great selection of super cute and fun boutique items like stickers and jewelry, etc. The lady working the counter was very welcoming and friendly. Prices are great, everything was delish and the service was fabulous. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town. Thank you so much! read more

Awesome is all that I can say about Coyote Cone! The ice cream is delicious with many different flavors and many toppings. They have sugar cones, regular cones or get your ice cream in a cup. They are very customer friendly and helpful. Also, they have lots of unique gifts and Knick knacks. Great place for a nice cool treat. Oh and do not forget the cookies and brownies. This place is the best . Not only do they have amazing ice creams, coffees and shaved ice; they also have a great selection of vintage candies. Cutest little gem, we stopped at Dillion roadhouse for a drink and stumbled across this one of a kind desserts/coffee spot. Do not just drive by, stop! The moment you walk inside your attention is definitely grabbed by the cute ambience/decor. Yummy treats, coffee, cute T-shirts, stickers, and the list goes on. I just loved the saddle seats. I wish I could give more stars! First of all, it is always super clean. The staff is so welcoming and always smiling. 2 of my children have autism and they always make sure to ask what kind of ice cream do they want on top and which one on bottom (for a two scoop). Other places would not even ask or care. The chalk wall and the saddles are one of the coolest things I have seen. My oldest LOVES the little "library", as he finds books that we can't find anywhere else (WWE). They have the best "old school" candy, like pop rocks and pixie sticks/straws. The hours are perfect and the coffee is amazing. It is so awesome to have something exciting for kids and families, in Morongo and not have to drive 20 minutes for ice cream. Check them out, you will not be disappointed. read more

This is an awesome place it's for the entire family and it's so quaint looking because at the seating area they have saddles for the young and old for basically anyone that wants to mount the saddles, and the ice cream is out of this world they have the best root beer floats and let's not even talk about the banana splits, and my favorite is a mix of strawberry ice cream and lemonade all swirled together with lemon heads chopped lemon heads as garnish ooh my they are soo good. Established in 2021.

We opened The Coyote Cone in March of 2021. We really wanted to bring a unique setting with sweet treats and coffee to the desert. It was especially important that we provide an atmosphere of community, so that no matter who walks through our doors, they feel at home!

Welcome to The Coyote Cone! After working in healthcare for over 25 years, I really wanted to do something that gave to my community while still being able to pay my bills. It was very important to my partner, Shawna, and I that we start this business in hopes of spreading joy to all who visit!

I really needed a coffee so I went with a regular hot latte with regular milk. We also did their specialty coffee, which had cayenne. I thought it would be spicy, but it was really comforting and delicious. Almost tasted a bit like chai but with different spices. It was really good. I would come back for this again. The regular latte was ok. The man working there basically takes orders himself and then prepares them himself as well. There was one other person there when we went so the wait was fine, but if there is a line, I can see this being a bit of a wait and I wouldn't recommend waiting around if you're in a hurry.

The owners of the business buy directly from local and regional farmers which keeps the price lower than a supermarket can offer. They also offer produce grown in their adjacent micro-farm, as well as locally baked bread, local and regional honey, and locally prepared granolas. As far as specific produce goes, they have the basic staples of potatoes, carrots, greens, squash and zucchini, radishes, celery, corn, tomatoes, lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits, apples, bananas, mangoes, plums and avocados, but they also have a rotating selection of more unique or exotic fruit and vegetable varieties that you might only find in very specialized markets. Today we saw gorgeous, gigantic heirloom beefsteak tomatoes, huge colorful dragon fruit, Cara Cara oranges and some of the biggest, brightest strawberries I've ever seen! The $2 table is the best deal around when you know you're ready to cook or eat your produce right away. They carry both conventional and organic, but the selection changes from week to week. The people operating the business are extremely helpful and friendly, willing to answer all and any questions, and even share helpful hints on how to make your own garden more successful in the challenging growing zone of the high desert. I was genuinely disappointed by my recent visit to The Coyote Cone. I ordered their date milkshake expecting the rich, natural flavor that makes date shakes such a Southwest classic. Instead, what I received tasted like a basic scoop of inexpensive ice cream with only a faint hint of date flavor. The shake seemed to rely on a very small amount of date concentrate rather than real, blended dates, and the result was thin and bland. At nearly $9, it felt overpriced for what was essentially a low-quality milkshake. For comparison, anyone who has tried a proper date shake in Dateland, Arizona knows how creamy, flavorful, and generous they can be. The difference is striking. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that the product did not justify the price. Such a great little spot! The coffee is always fresh and tastes amazing, can tell they really care about quality. Their ice cream selection is seriously impressive too. So many flavors to choose from, whether you're craving something classic or want to try something new. It's honestly hard to pick just one! I love their candy selection and fun stickers and niknacks! The whole place just has a really welcoming, feel good vibe. Definitely one of my favorite go to spots for coffee or a sweet treat. Best Coffee in all of Joshua Tree & surrounding areas. A must stop for breakfast on the go (great breakfast sandwiches w/ plenty of options), good size portions and they also ice creams & shakes and specialty coffee, you can't beat this place! The owner also is so nice and welcoming and all of the staff have been friendly and helpful. We now make this our regular stop heading into and out of town. read more

Best coffee and ice cream shop in town! The shop has fun creative and nostalgia atmosphere selling candies and treats from the good ole days. They even sell fun stickers, pens, books and apparel. This place is best stop ever! I rated this 5 plus stars. I got flat tire and had to pulled over and happened to pulled over in good spot!
