matcha latte + white chocolate syrup

We stopped by for coffee and matcha on our way out from Joshua Tree & were very pleased with our experience. I ordered an iced matcha latte with white chocolate syrup and it was a perfect balance of flavors & sweetness! We saw there were 5-star reviews at The Coyote Cone, which essentially was the same shop. The girls working there seemed super sweet & it was fun looking around the shop at the stickers, books, and pamphlets while we waited for our orders. Very peaceful desert vibes. Definitely will be returning next time we're in J Tree!

My family and I were in the area visiting Palm Springs as a vacation spot and of course, searching for coffee before heading out! We googled some nearby spots and Desert Dog was one that came on our radar so we decided to check it out. It literally felt like we went to a spot in the middle of nowhere, well, the desert, for a local pit stop. This place is super cute on the outside and interior, which gives it a lot of character. We were greeted upon entering and overall, service was very friendly. I love the fun names they have for their beverages and even unique options such as spicing up your coffee with cayenne pepper! I ended up ordering the Lucky Dog which is a cold brew with Irish cream syrup and a vanilla cold foam (which I didn't really notice when I got my drink, it looked more like an iced latte). The flavor was good but their coffee wasn't nearly as strong as I would like. Silly detail, but I love that they use crushed ice - the best ice. Overall, a fun stop but does not quite hit the spot for true coffee drinkers.

This was a perfect coffee spot stop on my travel through Arizona. I would stop here again in a heartbeat. The owner behind the counter was kind an patient as I browsed the menu and ordered 5 breakfast sandwiches for family. The sandwich was delicious and the coffee I ordered was tasty. The shop also is an ice cream shop! I didn't try the ice cream, it was early but the space to eat is warm and inviting. The Saddles at the chalk wall are a great place for kids to enjoy drawing while their parents wait for their order.

My boyfriend wanted to grab a coffee for the road and we stumbled upon this shop. Upon entering the shop is cute and there are a wide variety of drinks, ice cream flavors and treats. He ended up getting a S'mores coffee for the road. We both tried it and the drink tasted like chocolate milk vs s'mores. Based on this first encounter and the drink not tasting like s'mores, we gave it a 3. Maybe the other flavor offerings are closer to the intended type, but this one didn't meet the mark unfortunately. Aside from that, the people inside the store, (customers and employees), made the experience pleasant.

Stopped by to grab some coffee on the way and this place was on spot! The service was super friendly and the place look's pretty cool. You might think that its an ice-cream place but trust me they have good coffee inside. We had the chai tea, the snake bite coffee and the dessert dog coffee. Both coffees were something I haven't experienced before. The coffee is not sweet or strong and it has a really nice flavors in it. I would suggest that you add another espresso shot if you want a coffee taste but just like that its light but good. I highly recommend either coffees if you like to try some new flavors. This place have an outdoor seating too if someone wants to chill around. They also serve breakfast.

Stopped at this place on 02.16.25 on our way to Joshua Tree...decided to give it a shot since the reviews weren't bad. Ummm I don't like giving bad reviews because everyone has off days BUT the lattes we ordered were so bland. It was milk with a hint of coffee...maybe. I ordered a honey lavender latte and my husband ordered an apple cinnamon latte. Both were bland, both just had a lot of milk. For reference, we ordered 16oz lattes. Can't recommend, don't know if I would ever go back. Ended up tossing both.

Worst coffee ever waste of gas money and customer service was as dead as the coffee. Would not recommend. Maybe they should only sell ice cream. Or maybe they don't like black people either worst coffee experience ever.

    Vanilla Iced Latte

The girls working here were nice however the coffee is not great. My boyfriend got a smoothie, wasn't bad we liked it. I ordered a vanilla iced latte and was quite disappointed. It tasted so watered down. I don't know if it's the beans they use or if the espresso shot wasn't pulled correctly. Overall it tasted like a pre made iced coffee brew from the refrigerated section at the grocery store. Not my favorite place to get coffee in the desert, I'd just rather drive an extra 30 minutes up the road for great coffee. The shop is small and has a bit of seating. They also have a little lending library which I loved that they have that! Overall I think this place may be more popular for their shakes as it is part of the Coyote Cone.

Entering the lobby, it smells like an old antique building, heavy mildew smell. The elevator smelled like body odor, you can tell the carpet is ruined and matted down from guests leaving the pool (not their fault) and standing on the carpet. The carpet in this place as a whole desperately needs to be taken out and replaced with flooring more appropriate for pool goers. The pool was lukewarm at best. There was never a point that the water was even cool, never comfortable to stay in very long. Biggest shock was that this place does not provide HAND SOAP. What do you mean you do not provide the most basic toiletries? My final complaint was the front desk concierge. He made several suggestive comments to my friend and I, at one point making a very lewd hand gesture while staring directly at me. Do not stay at this place if you care about basic needs met at a hotel.

Mgr: Emery ***** Server: Madelyn ***** Bartender: Adam ***** I frequent this hotel and dine in their restaurant, twice a year. The restaurant personnel are consistently knowledgeable, helpful and ready to demonstrate a "call of duty" that measures beyond their employment and policy requirements to ensure that they establish the perfect environment to welcome you back, again, before you place an order to enjoy the food and drink experience. This type of customer service, interaction and behavioral skills management cannot be taught. Unfortunately, the customer service industry consists primarily of people who do not possess the inherent skills of retaining public relations---so when you experience this type of excellence---[Y]our duty as a consumer is to single-handily call "a person" or people out for their exceptional service performance towards you and your guest. My five-star ratings are based upon perfection. Ask for them by their names. Part II: Food Review [Five Stars] This visit I ordered their homemade waffles atop with strawberries and whipped cream (I requested on the side) I am not a "crispy waffle" person and it was made to taste the way I desired. When you have food servers like Madelyn and Adam--you come for the production service before customer satisfaction. The menu foods and beverages you will enjoy. Most people do not have high quality standards and therefore may not judge and review the food and service (the way I do) the way we should. Most patrons and hotel guests live to be served by others and perhaps judge their customer satisfaction on personal tastes and preferences with high standards for low prices and discount rates--without considering how they, consumers themselves may contribute to their own "good and bad" experience---deferring blame to the establishment and not their household. I have not interacted much with every hired employee, worker and contractor---moreover, you will always experience someone who doesn't enjoy their job, work or you. I advocate for good "paying guest" as well as good quality employees to serve and be served by me. Please share your experiences with me. I'll follow up and write about it. Good luck, Emery, Madelyn and Adam--I look forward to your customer service. P.S. Emery, I appreciate your service outside the hotel in the parking lot--checking on the safety and welfare of patrons are essential to establishing good relationships. I observed you without hesitation checking on patron welfare. Please continue managing the way you do.
