    Dry fried chicken

Service was nice and polite We were on a bus trip from Pennsylvania. It was the worst meal I've ever eaten. I thought the crab cakes would be fantastic because of where we were. They were fried hard and looked like a hockey puck. The green beans tasted like they were poured from a can and heated up. The chicken was dry. I'm wondering if because we were on a bus trip they provided typical frozen food and heated it up. I mean, we did pay for a meal and this is what they served us. I'd give this restaurant a zero if it let me. Save your money and go

Whether the outside weather is good or bad, we make a trip down from South Jersey every fall if we can and it never disappoints always a good experience food comes quickly and it's always above average. It just stinks that food prices are getting higher so that may deter us from coming as often. Beer is local and delicious. We always order a few pitchers while taking our time, eating those delicious crabs and watching the channel with the sparkly water and sailboats bopping by

You can't visit the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and not stop in The Crab Claw for a bite. The place has a great vibe that just makes eating seafood all the more enjoyable.

Overall, great experience. Super-touristy of course, because of the waterfront location, but it delivers what the tourist wants: tasty, authentic seafood. My soft-shell crab sandwich hit the spot, the fries were crispy and golden brown, and it was all just perfect. The service could have been a touch more attentive, but was basically adequate.

The seafood was excellent. We loved the oysters and the tuna sushi that you roll yourself--it was fun and delicious. The potato chips with Iberian ham and manchego were incredible and one of the most memorable bites of the night. Service was outstanding. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The desserts were also fantastic. The labneh ice cream was completely out of this world, and the olive oil cake was excellent as well. A couple of small notes: the endive salad wasn't our favorite because it was covered in onions, which wasn't mentioned and unfortunately I really dislike onions. Also, the pork chop tasted amazing but we did notice toward the end that part of it was a bit undercooked. That said, overall the meal was excellent and we had a really great time. Definitely a memorable dining experience in St. Michaels.

We tried a little bit of everything on the menu - the bread, oysters, cucumber salad, scallops, fries, rigatoni, and two desserts. Everything was incredible - creative yet comprehensible and decent portions for a more expensive restaurant. If you go during the 4-6pm window you'll have access to happy hour with discounted house wines and a few dishes. Jordan was our server and was great at convincing us to try certain things that later became an obsession (cucumber salad). Great lighting, lots of bench seating, and quick service. I'd go out of my way to eat here again and would recommend everything on the menu!

We arrived a bit early and were seated immediately, which set the tone for a relaxed and welcoming evening. We started with the baked oysters, foie gras and bone marrow appetizers--both were absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. For dinner, my wife had the sword fish, I had the veal chop, and my son had the seafood gumbo. Each dish was incredible, cooked perfectly, and full of flavor. We finished the night with the crème brûlée, which was prepared to perfection and was the perfect ending to a memorable meal. The entire staff was A+ across the board, including owner/exec chef Doug and his lovely wife Jenn, who clearly care deeply about both the food and the guest experience. Don't let the quaint town of St. Michaels fool you--this gem is absolutely worth the visit.

Unfortunately, it was lack luster; more shell than crab and mostly devoid of flavor. I'll admit that being from the lowcountry I have a high bar for crab soup and this didn't come close to meeting it. The truffle fries were delicious and it was fun to sit at the bar and watch the kitchen action. Our waiter was attentive but when the bill arrived we had been charged for drinks we didn't order. This is not as uncommon in tourist towns as one would hope. I lived in Nantucket long enough to always go over the bill with a careful eye.

You pick up your order from that same window when he calls your name. I guess it's faster than table service. They have a humorous sign sailing free beer -- which is actually if you read closely, it says Free WIFi (In tiny font) and good beer, ha ha. The view is definitely the best thing about this restaurant, but that's where the positives end. I ordered the seafood stew, and it was unbelievably oily--so much so that I couldn't finish it. The seafood soup tasted like something that came straight out of a can. Ironically, the Philly cheesesteak sandwich was the cheapest item we ordered, yet it ended up being the best dish on the table. The service was also very disappointing. There were hardly any other customers around, yet our server was extremely slow and rarely checked on us. Even when we were clearly trying to get the check, we waited forever. Meanwhile, we could hear staff laughing and chatting in the kitchen, but no one seemed interested in helping customers. To make matters worse, there were flies everywhere throughout the restaurant, and no one appeared to be doing anything about it. It made the dining experience even less enjoyable. Overall, the waterfront setting is beautiful, but the food quality, service, and cleanliness issues outweighed the view. We won't be returning and would not recommend it based on our experience.

We were surprised at how full we were! The amusé bouche was an oyster in a light cream sauce (it's been a few days - I believe that's correct). Delicious, as was the light vegetable serving my boyfriend had since he is more vegetarian. The oyster stew was also wonderful (no wonder I was so full) and they provided a vegetable soup that was too. Our mains around the table were a black cod (again, I think that's accurate), and Maryland Crab Boil which really is a crab cake and very crab full. The fish had a nice crisp touch but tender and moist - all excellent and just enough for us. There was a vegan chocolate mousse made with avocado, a flourless dairy version, both good. We also had the panna cotte and an interesting donut with tropical fruit. I could tell my server wasn't quite impressed with the cake donut but I had to try it and it was just ok. Downsides? It was a 3 hour meal. Long breaks in between. Good thing we all like each other and have many stories to tell. Whether there was a large party going on or what, we don't know. They could have kept us more informed about timing and/or offered another round of wine but we were pretty much on our own in between as we were outside on the patio. Otherwise a five star experience and nice staff though they feel a bit young and at the mercy of the kitchen. Having been a waitperson it felt like they were afraid to interact to tell us about timing. But I always think it's better for the customer to know what's up and feel taken care of rather than abandoned. We'll be back another time however.!

Then you could see the water and the dock and the Adirondack chairs across the lawn. I imagine it would be an amazing view in the day time. But even at night, it was lovely. With the white walls and high ceiling, somehow the space is still intimate and cozy. Service was also personable. Our lovely server told us about his upcoming trip to Spain and always made sure we had what we needed throughout dinner. I ordered the beef tenderloin and my husband had the sea bass. Both entrees were flavorful and hit the spot. If you are very hungry, I would recommend an appetizer. The entree portions are not huge, but they are enough if you're not too hungry. For dessert we had coffee and the Smith Island cake. It was the perfect end to our dinner.
