Roquefort tenderloin, shrimp and grits, and key key lime pie
    Ericka S.

Amazing dinner experience. Chance introduced all of the house specials that had us anticipating our courses. I had the Roquefort tenderloins and my husband had the shrimp and grits. ABSOLUTELY wonderful!! We finished the meal with their special key lime pie and a limoncello. My night has been complete!!! We enjoyed every minute!!

Theo's in St Michael's has become our go to for special occasion celebrations. We have never had a less than perfect meal there. We celebrated our anniversary there this evening & it did not disappoint. Our waiter, Chance, is the ultimate professional. He is attentive but not disturbing. He makes recommendations and has always been spot on. He happily answers any questions you may have about the menu. The atmosphere in the restaurant is upscale but not stuffy. The entire staff is friendly. We ordered Caesar salad and shrimp cocktail, the Filet Mignon with a side of truffle fries. Everything was expertly prepared and delicious. Highly recommend making reservations as it gets busy, especially on the weekends.

In a town full of great restaurants, Theo's continues to stand out! A steak house with New Orlean's flair in a classic St Michael's setting with impeccable service! Theo's checks all the boxes! The BBQ shrimp complete with fresh baked bread for dipping is a must starter! The crab cakes are huge & up there with the best! All the steaks are incredible.

My wife and I dined here on a late summer Wednesday evening. They aren't open every evening if the week so check ahead of time. Also probably wise to get a reservation although if you went before 6pm like we did you could probably get in. There is limited parking behind the restaurant as well as street parking. The public lots are probably a couple block walk away. We were seated on the first floor in the back dining room. We could see the full size bar and lots of people enjoying happy hour with $2 off all drinks. The dining room was pleasant with super comfy chairs and plenty of room. My got an old fashion from the HH menu while I got a glass of cab. For starters, we got the bread basket and shrimp tempura on a stick drizzled with a chipotle sauce. Our favorite was the warm garlic knots in the bread basket but the shrimp was also enjoyable. I had my sites set on a nice thick steak but got sidetracked by their Thanksgiving 365 entree. I couldn't resist and enjoyed turkey, stuffing, gravy, green beans, mashed potatoes and cranberries. I was transported to late November. Yummy. My wife chose their crab cake. The crab cake was more of a ball shape but enjoyable none the less. She actually enjoyed the accompanying corn and cooked tomatoes more. We skipped dessert here to grab a cone down the street. Service was excellent the entire meal and they took good care of us.

Date of visit: July 24, 2024 We were staying at a nearby resort for a few days and so our son bought us a $100 gift card here based on his experience with Theo's 7 years ago. What a cute place and we were seated by the window, which was wonderful. We ordered a Cosmo and Old Fashioned first. They were excellent. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer... they were spears, which was interesting and delicious. Then we saw that on Wednesday nights there is a Steak Diane special. For $45 you get two melt in your mouth filets with sauteed button mushrooms in a red wine demi glaze sauce, homemade silky mashed potatoes, huge Caesar salad and an incredible cheesecake with creme brulee topping (one went home with us!). It became apparent that it was a "no brainer" to order the special. Two glasses of the red house wine accompanied dinner so well. What a wonderful house wine! We were glad that we did and we will be back if ever in the area again.

6pm salmon with orzo -spinach and mini tomatoes Cooked perfectly, nothing was over cooked!

We also bought their stake and shrimp tempura and didn't take a picture of them, start eating it the moment arrived! It smelled so good, how could we pause! I would love to come back !

Our favorite restaurant in St MICHAELS! The food is amazing and the restaurant is run incredibly well by an incredible manager. We always have five star food and service!

The rib-eye steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly! The oysters with Parmesan cheese was too cooked and over cheesy took away from the flavor of the oysters but the tempura shrimps were cooked perfectly and the seasonings were well balanced. The wine paired very well with the steak, the truffle fries was the BEST truffle fries we ever have! The Brussels sprouts were delicious well balanced with the balsamic vinegar, bacons; and walnuts; but a bit over cooked.

On my very first night ever in St. Michaels, MD, I had two requirements for dinner…read more 1. I wanted a waterfront view. 2. I wanted shrimp salad. After a little searching, Foxy's Harbor Grille kept popping up as one of the top recommendations. Their website mentioned joining the waitlist online before arriving, and knowing it was the start of Fourth of July weekend, I figured a little planning couldn't hurt. I hopped on the waitlist before leaving my hotel and headed toward the harbor. I arrived a little before 5:00pm on Thursday afternoon in the middle of an absolutely brutal heat wave. Temperatures were over 100 degrees, and apparently everyone else in town had the good sense not to request outdoor seating. When the hostess couldn't find my name on the online waitlist, it didn't really matter because the covered deck overlooking the marina was completely empty. One request for an outside table later, and I was seated immediately with one heck of a view! My server was fantastic from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive and made sure I had everything I needed without ever making me feel rushed. For dinner, I ordered the Shrimp Roll ($21.00) with a side of black bean salad and a Diet Coke ($3.75). It turned out to be exactly the kind of meal I wanted after spending the day in triple-digit temperatures. The shrimp salad was outstanding! Big chunks of shrimp, perfectly dressed and seasoned without being drowning-in-mayo soupy. Just fresh, flavorful and incredibly satisfying. The portion was generous enough that I happily boxed up half to enjoy the next day. The black bean salad deserves its own little shout-out, too. Black beans, corn, peppers, cilantro and what tasted like a light, fresh vinaigrette made it the perfect companion to the chilled shrimp salad on such a hot evening. But...let's be honest. I had already spotted the Sky High Peanut Butter Pie ($12.00) while stalking the menu before dinner arrived. As someone whose personality is approximately 63.8% peanut butter, there was absolutely no chance I was leaving Foxy's without ordering it! A few minutes later, my server returned carrying what can only be described as a monument to peanut butter. This slice stood at least three inches tall, topped with whipped cream and packed with chopped peanut butter cups throughout a rich, dense peanut butter filling. It was glorious! It was excessive! It was everything I hoped it would be! And yes...I ate the whole thing. Even I was a little impressed with myself! The view from the covered deck overlooking the marina made the entire experience even better. Sitting there watching boats come and go while enjoying dinner felt like the perfect introduction to St. Michaels. Foxy's has exactly the kind of laid-back, waterfront atmosphere you hope to find when visiting a Chesapeake Bay town. One thing I also appreciated was how welcoming the restaurant felt for everyone. During my visit I saw solo diners like myself, couples, families with kids and groups of friends all enjoying themselves. Their menu is incredibly diverse, too, so just about everyone should be able to find something they'll enjoy. My total came to just $40.24 before tip for dinner, dessert and a drink, which I found to be very reasonable considering the quality of the food, the waterfront location and the generous portions. If I had one piece of advice, it would be to eat a little earlier if you can, especially during holiday weekends. I have a feeling this place fills up quickly once the evening rolls around. Highly recommend Foxy's Harbor Grille if you're visiting St. Michaels! Great food, great service, beautiful waterfront views and one seriously unforgettable slice of peanut butter pie. I'll absolutely be back!

You get a nice warm feeling there. A very large place. Love the entrance, is has a very nice bar. Food- Very pricing for what was ordered and brought to us. The shrimp from the shrimp cocktail tasted old and a bit chewy. My crab cakes had very little lump crab for $50. The server told me that they would be top notch. Wife's petite filet was good. Side dishes had to be sent back because they were warm. Wine selection is large and varied. My old fashioned did not come with a large ice cube, so I reprimanded the server and he changed it out. Classy places serve them with a large ice cube! Service- Felt rushed. Maybe they didn't have enough servers. Ours could have been a bit more matured and experienced. Their smocks need to be whiter. If you are wearing white, it needs to be white and not have that unbleached used look. Value- I don't see it. Stoney River is a better value though their atmosphere is lacking. Wait time- they sat us immediately. Food took a bit long we thought. All in all, disappointed. Before getting to the food, I'll first rate the interior excellent. It's big and open, and has a modern yet rustic design, which makes it an excellent atmosphere. They had an impressive list of wines and cocktails, but the draft beer selection was limited. Could use a bit more variety on tap, but I enjoyed the Imperial IPA nonetheless. As for the food; all of it was on the pricey sized given the quality and quantity served, but the salmon collar was by far my favorite -- followed by the chicken, although the chicken was a bit less meaty than I expected. The gem salad, the carrots and the steak fries were all very "meh," and the bisques seemed like small ciabatta buns rather than actual biscuits. All that aside, the biggest disappointment was unfortunately the ax ribeye - it wasn't cooked properly (despite asking for med-rate, depending on the bite, it ranged from medium to very rare), and it was really stringy and fatty - a major disappointment for a steakhouse. Deserts were delicious, I really enjoyed the ice cream cake and thought the peanut butter pie was good. Service was great, prompt and friendly. So I definitely wouldn't recommend this place as a statehouse based on my experience, but would consider coming for the salmon.

I don't eat beef or pork, but after watching a review from Peaks100, I saw that the manager also recommended the seafood along with the steaks. My wife eats steak, so I took her there for that, and I planned to order seafood. Spoiler alert: my wife enjoyed her steak. Now that I got that out of the way, let me continue. https://youtu.be/5uPuX7Fk_cE?si=H7NI2vI_uMWAeREq Appetizer Octopus Ceviche -- $18 I told our server that I didn't want any pork on it. She seemed surprised and told me it didn't come with pork. I had already looked up "pancetta crumble" and knew pancetta was pork, so I showed her the menu. She then said she knew what pancetta was and would make sure there was no pork on my plate. The ceviche itself didn't have much flavor. I didn't really enjoy it, but it wasn't bad enough for me to complain or send it back. Dinner Housemade "Parkerhouse" Rolls -- $8 These came out fresh and hot with butter. They were good. No complaints. Chef's Fresh Catch -- $50 The fresh catch was grouper. The fish had some salt on it and a nice char, but the heavy cream-based sauce on the plate didn't have much flavor. Again, I didn't really enjoy it, but not enough to complain or return the dish. Jumbo Lump Crab Oscar -- $28 Wow, this was not good at all. I probably should have sent it back, but I didn't. It was tough and rubbery (see pic), almost like it had been left under the broiler too long. I took it home with me, but I honestly will probably end up throwing it away. Sides Crispy Brussels Sprouts -- $13 These were good, but somewhat oily. Yukon Gold Potato Purée -- $12 They were okay. Nothing to write home about. Dessert Coconut Cream Bread Pudding -- $14 It was just okay. The coconut flakes was too much, in my opinion, and eventually became overwhelming. It didn't feel very balanced. Overall, I felt the service could have been better, and most of the food needed more flavor, especially at this price point. Nothing was so terrible that I felt the need to ask for a manager, but I also didn't enjoy most of what I ordered. I ordered it, so I paid for it and kept it moving. Also, a 25% gratuity was already added to the bill. Maybe that is why the service was lacking, because they already knew they were going to get 25% "allegedly". Honestly, I don't think I'll be back. After 61 seasons serving seafood on the St. Michaels waterfront, this family-owned landmark is saying goodbye at the end of 2026. Suddenly, eating here wasn't just dinner. It became one last chance to experience a little piece of Eastern Shore history before it's gone forever! I called that afternoon hoping for a reservation. It was the Fourth of July in St. Michaels, after all, and the town was absolutely PACKED. No reservations were available, but the gentleman on the phone kindly told me, "Just come on over. I hadn't done my normal pre-trip menu stalking, which made me wildly uncomfortable because I am apparently the type of person who likes to arrive at restaurants with a five-year dinner plan already prepared. Thankfully, my waitress rescued me! The Fish Tacos of the Day happened to be rockfish, so my decision was made. I ordered the Fish Tacos ($20.95), added a side of Homemade Potato Salad ($5.95), a Diet Pepsi ($4.00)...and then I saw it. SMITH ISLAND CAKE. I've wanted to try authentic Smith Island Cake for YEARS. Not days. Not months. Years. ALOT of them! Every trip to Maryland I'd think, "Maybe this time." And somehow it never happened. Until now! The rockfish tacos were excellent. No unnecessary frills, just generous chunks of perfectly cooked rockfish topped with crunchy purple cabbage, a light spicy sauce underneath and a fresh pico with tomatoes, onions and jalapeños that leaned more toward fresh than soggy. Exactly how I like it! The potato salad was almost neon yellow when it arrived, which immediately gave me high hopes. Those hopes were rewarded! It reminded me a lot of Amish potato salad. Slightly sweet, creamy and absolutely delicious. I ate one taco, a healthy helping of potato salad and happily boxed up the rest for lunch the next day. But let's be honest. The real event was dessert. The slice of Smith Island Cake ($12.95) arrived looking every bit as legendary as I'd imagined. Nine layers of cake. Eleven thin layers of rich chocolate frosting. I took one bite...and immediately started doing the happy food dance. It was EVERYTHING I'd hoped it would be! Every. Single. Bite. While I'm sure The Crab Claw doesn't actually make the Smith Island Cake, they happened to be the one's that allowed me to experience it first, so, they get awarded the points for epicness! Dinner came to $46.48 before tip (about $60 all in after tipping), making it the most expensive dinner of my St. Michaels vacation. Not exactly cheap, but absolutely worth every penny for the food, the memories and the chance to experience a place that's been part of St. Michaels since 1965. The Crab Claw began as a seafood packing operation before becoming the waterfront restaurant generations of visitors have come to love, and you can absolutely feel that history while you're sitting there watching the boats drift by. I'm incredibly grateful that a random conversation on a ferry turned into one of my favorite meals of the trip. Sometimes the best adventures aren't on the itinerary. Sometimes they're recommended by a stranger. Thank you, Crab Claw, for one unforgettable final meal in St. Michaels.

I've been a longtime patron of Joe's for years. I've brought clients here for dinners, gathered…read morewith friends, and have always known Joe's for great food and service. Unfortunately, my wife's first experience was the exception. On our last visit together, the service simply didn't deliver and we ended up leaving. After the manager reached out and encouraged us to give Joe's another chance, I convinced my wife to come back. I'm really glad we did. This time we brought our toddler and ordered the oysters, stone crab, king crab, and bone-in ribeye. Everything was excellent. More importantly, the service was back to the Joe's I've known for years. Our server Kimberly was wonderful, attentive, warm, and took great care of us. Ryan the manager also stopped by personally to apologize and make sure we were having a good experience. What made this visit especially satisfying was seeing my wife finally experience the level of hospitality I had been telling her about all these years. She walked away impressed, and so did I. Great seafood, a proper ribeye, and excellent hospitality. Thank you to Kimberly and the management team for turning things around. Looking forward to many more visits. Keep it up, guys!

Service is always great at this location! We always manage to come here whenever we're traveling. I think the chicken tenders are good but that sauce they serve with them is horrible! So make sure you order something honey mustard or something else lol The chopped salad is the BEST salad! Simple and the vingerette dressing is delicious. The bread that comes out is a variety of different breads that range from onion roll, regular roll, corn bread and even an everything salted cracker. I don't care for the Mac and cheese, it's supposedly a "four cheese" but I can't taste the four cheeses. Very bland and not worth $10! Overall this place has great service and mostly good menu items. The restaurant is pretty dark, so it makes you feel like it's night when you're inside lol and I would suggest bringing a jacket because the air will be on blast. Restrooms are located upstairs but they do have an elevator if needed! I'm only giving four stars because we kept having to remind the waitress about things we asked for and although it was busy, I still felt like she dropped the ball a little bit! But normally Service is usually on point
