Had a wonderful dinner here Saturday night. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the lamb chop lollipops. As well as a nice dirty martini. Everything was delicious and the bar tenders were great! Can't wait to come back again!

Headed back to The Narrows recently for lunch. The view is still really beautiful and the staff was super friendly. It was a pretty nice day so we opted to sit on the deck which was also heated. We ordered the clams casino and fried green tomatoes to start. I only tried the clams casino was appreciated the flavor, size of the clams, and the use of gluten free panko. They were good! I also got a cup of Maryland crab soup which was really delicious and well flavored with the perfect amount of Old Bay seasoning. For my entree, I got a house salad with blue cheese gorgonzola dressing and grilled chicken. This was probably the most disappointing part of the meal - the chicken tasted like it had been steamed and totally unseasoned. It desperately needed salt, pepper, garlic powder, anything! It was super bland. The dressing wasn't very flavorful either and definitely didn't have the funky blue cheese taste I was hoping for. I usually love a salad but this one was really lacking flavor.

We were traveling and made dinner plans based on stated menu options and dining times, which stated a 9 PM closure. We were careful to arrive by 8:30 and entered. The hostess was at the hostess station and told us that they had been slow and so they were closing early. She said she was pretty sure the kitchen was closed. We were quite frustrated, needless to say, and verbalized that as we turned around to head out. About that time, another a manager type person came out, saw that we were quite frustrated, and said that they were having the hoods cleaned and so they were closing early. I really doubt that since there was no such sign and the hostess clearly said they shut the kitchen down for being slow. If there had work being done in the kitchen, then the door should've been locked and there should've been a polite and professional sign on the door. That did not happen. Further, they should've updated their social media and advised their customers so that people would not be counting on something that is unavailable. Contrary to what the manager said, there was no apparent sign. Perhaps there was one that was 3 inches tall that was not evident, but there was none on the door that anybody entering would see. Further, my husband did say that we would be writing up this review, as we have, but he absolutely never used expletives. I was standing there the entire time, and unfortunately, the manager is just trying to deflect attention from her own poor handling on to her customers. We definitely will not be coming back ever again just strictly based on such poor management decisions and inattentive customer service.

This restaurant had the best views I have experienced in a while. The enclosed deck was comfortable and afforded the best dining experience. Service was prompt and attentive with good meal selection recommendations. We started with bread, which was very tasty and fresh. We also tried soup, French onion and cream of crab, both were very good. We shared the fried green tomatoes which was just ok. Our meals were appetizers since it was lunchtime, so I had calamari which was tasty but more on the chewy side. My daughter had the crab tart which we both really enjoyed. Great experience for a quick lunch stop.

Food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were on point! Great service from all the staff This will be our new date night spot.

    Salmon!!

Me and my boyfriend came in after fishing all day for our anniversary and had the best time, we came in less than an hour before close and didn't feel rushed at all! Cindy was our server and she was so sweet, nice and educated on the menu! Highly recommend!!

Another lovely lunch here on the waterside "back porch." It's only gotten better since my last review 2 years ago. While the menu is expansive, for a lunch, there was a whole page of seasonal additions. Though on the regular menu, we loved the Crab and Cheese "tart" more a flat bread. Salads here always contain the most impeccable of garden greens. Cream of Crab still rules the menu, don't miss this as it's under marketed in my opinion.

This restaurant was next door to the Hyatt Place so we decided to dine here for dinner and was happy we did. I was very satisfied with the food, service and atmosphere. We had couple dozens of oysters to start along with crab dip. The oysters were huge! I ate the Grilled Rainbow trout, and it was quite delicious, and the mashed potatoes were like potato puree - it was so good. Most of my party had their crab cakes and commented how it was mostly jumbo lump with little fillers. Those were priced at $52 for two crab cakes. If you're staying at the Hyatt this place is literally a minute walk. I would highly recommend dining here.

I've been to other places and loved them but this was a first time here. We parked and all you can smell is seafood and fish. Parking was decently easy. We walked in and asked to sit outside and was sent upstairs. Thought it a bit weird, but it was all good. We had nothing else going on on a Monday, and just wanted crabs. So we made our way upstairs and had to walk around a few corners to get to the bar before we self seated and found a table under these stairs. But the view! It was pretty, with the small lake or pond we were staring into. The whimsy breeze felt great against my skin and thankful there was an umbrella which shielded us from the hot sun. The tables were covered with craft paper. There were one server working the section. We ordered a Bloody Mary and a Paloma - who doesn't love a good cocktail on a hot day outside next to water? The menu is a decent size. We wanted the extra large crabs but they only had six left so we did half extra large and half large. We also ordered Mac and Cheese which turned out to be Kraft Mac and Cheese, Hush Puppies and also an order of Cole slaw. I was tired after trying to crack three crabs, but the flavors were great. I wish it had more of the orange eggs stuff but I guess we couldn't choose which type of crab they were and I had no orange eggs in the crab. But the flavors were good. I enjoyed the experience. It was pretty chill and just nice to be outside cracking teeth and sipping drinks.

For some reason, we had nostalgic memories of this place, but it turns out that we pretty much had the same exact three-star experience. We just really wanted to bring our daughter back here since this spot in America plays a significant role in family lore. Unbelievably, it was raining again, but we waited for a table right by two windows, so water vibes were good. We got a couple local beers and while our server was nice, she also had a bit of an unceremonious manner that took us off guard. Not her fault, but we were total idiots and ordered the medium crabs. Why? WHY?! They are impossible to pick! And we even mentioned in our previous review the merits of ordering the jumbo ones to make life easy. Amateur hour!! We did order a few other crab-themed dishes, which made the meal more pleasant. The imperial crab was only OK, but the crab cakes were really something special. We got one fried and one broiled, and we would definitely recommend the latter. There was so much fresh crab and neither of them were greasy. As far as sides, the veggies were drowning in butter, and the corn on the cob tasted like it was cooked in a microwave. Fries were decent and the hush puppies weren't bad, but you know those came right out of a Sysco freezer bag. We got those nutter butter ice cream cone things again and they were terrible. The shell is hard as a rock and so is the flavorless vanilla ice cream underneath while the cone is rubbery soft. Quite the feat. Despite the ups and downs of the cuisine here, we had a really pleasant time as a family, and this place will always hold a soft (shell crab) spot in our hearts. While it's doubtful that we'll be back again, we're glad that we gave it a second go. Just remember: never order medium crabs!

There's something about the water, the breeze, and the quiet charm of this area that settles your spirit in the best way. A good friend of mine lives on Kent Island, and honestly, the best way to visit Bridges is by boat. Pulling up to a restaurant by water just hits differently. But don't worry you can absolutely drive here too, and the experience is just as lovely. Restaurants by the water are always a plus, but Bridges brings more than a view. It brings that easy, coastal energy that makes you want to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and enjoy where you are. The kind of place where good food, good company, and good scenery all meet at the same table. Bridges Restaurant brings exactly what you hope for when you escape the city for a moment of calm; beauty, peace, and a reminder that life feels better by the water. Service is always great! I literally said this past weekend that this has to become a monthly occurrence! It's too good and too beautiful to just come once a year! Let's get into it! Stuffed Pepper - Amazing!! Freshly fried and super juicy. We loved them. Our sandwich and shrimp&grits took a while to get to us, but worth the wait. The shrimp in the grits were massive. My husband couldn't finish it all. The shrimp salad was stellar. And the brioche bun went so well. I will say the island fries had a spice we didn't love. The queso dip it came with was good. Didn't love the chili aioli it came with. It was weirdly sweet. I'd probably stick to the regular fries next time. Service is a little slower than were use to, but it definitely fit the vibe of the area. Just low key and relaxing. We would definitely come back!

I've visited twice recently and I really enjoyed the scenic views and extensive menu. Both times I have sat outside which was in the shade and comfortable, even on the hottest days of the season. Watching the boat traffic come in go - everything from kayakers to yachters makes for an entertaining meal. Speaking of meals, I've now tried a handful or so items on the menu. Favorites so far are the Flounder Sandwich and potato skins topped with crab dip. The burger was good too. The halibut tacos and crab bruschetta are a pass for me. Service has been great at the Dock House. The servers have to walk fairly far from the kitchen to the dockside tables and they maintain great service. Kudos to them. Speaking of dock, there is space to dock boats parallel to the bulkhead. Several small to mid-size boats were there both times I visited. I looked to see if there was a sign about the depth or rules for docking there and I didn't see anything. What I have observed is there isn't a dock hand and it's not protected so it can get a little bit of chop. A few boaters were just hanging out on their boat listening to the live music so they didn't seem to mind getting jostled when larger traffic comes through the channel. For those with land yachts or a car, there is plenty of parking and it's easy to get here right off of US-50, assuming there isn't "beach traffic." Dock House is located on the back side of the Boatel that is visible from US-50. Dock House is absolutely one of my new favorite restaurants in the Annapolis area. Fisherman's Crab Deck is a classic example of this dilemma- I took my daughter here after picking her up from stay-over camp in Chestertown. We both wanted steamed crabs, and had been to Harris in the past and were not impressed, so we checked out Yelp and found the ratings were pretty good here, so we stopped in. First impressions are important, and after entering and following the sign to be seated, all we saw were a bunch of women gabbing away like they were sharing last night's dating stories. Eventually one came up and asked us whether we wanted inside or outside seating. We asked for a table near the water, and got seated near some clown who spent his entire time in the restaurant shouting on his phone. So, I know staff can't control what people do once seated (to an extent), but maybe this suggests what type of clients they get. Anyway, our waitress comes up and takes our drink order- I asked to sample two beers on draft that I was not familiar with- she looked at me like I wanted a free dink or something, but reluctantly told me she would "ask the bartender" if this was ok. She wasn't rude or anything, but just seem slightly annoyed at my request, as well as the entire time "serving" us. We get our drinks, order our crabs, and I got some ears of corn and crab soup. The soup was ok, the ears of corn tasted like cow corn that had been shipped in from Bangladesh- they were that bad, and at $4 a piece, this was a high crime. I didn't dare tell our server given her demeanor- I didn't want to chance a blow-up. The crabs themselves were ok- nothing special, but not bad. With that said, we ordered extra-large and got large- one trick these Kent Island crab houses have is that they undersize their crabs- extra-large are actually large, large are actually mediums, etc. No respectable crab house would do this, but I guess Fisherman's and others nearby think it's another way to make more money. Another thing I noticed is that this place doesn't use Old Bay seasoning, which is treasonous in Maryland. The server said they use their own recipe, which is about 90% salt dumped on the crabs, and saves them money. Additionally, they don't use butter to dip the crab meat in- you get liquid margarine which tastes like chemicals. Finally, their vinegar dip is not vinegar- don't ask me what it is, but it tastes terrible! For two people, our bill came to over $115, and we only ordered a half a dozen crabs. Outrageous. Bad corn, small crab sizes, no Old Bay, and a patron at the next table yacking over how his sub-contractor is over-charging his company. I won't even mention the finicky waitress. Two stars, Fisherman's- and I'm never coming back.
