Never a bad crab from this place and always one or two extra. Serving us for many years and friendly service with prompt time notice.

I've been to other places and loved them but this was a first time here. We parked and all you can smell is seafood and fish. Parking was decently easy. We walked in and asked to sit outside and was sent upstairs. Thought it a bit weird, but it was all good. We had nothing else going on on a Monday, and just wanted crabs. So we made our way upstairs and had to walk around a few corners to get to the bar before we self seated and found a table under these stairs. But the view! It was pretty, with the small lake or pond we were staring into. The whimsy breeze felt great against my skin and thankful there was an umbrella which shielded us from the hot sun. The tables were covered with craft paper. There were one server working the section. We ordered a Bloody Mary and a Paloma - who doesn't love a good cocktail on a hot day outside next to water? The menu is a decent size. We wanted the extra large crabs but they only had six left so we did half extra large and half large. We also ordered Mac and Cheese which turned out to be Kraft Mac and Cheese, Hush Puppies and also an order of Cole slaw. I was tired after trying to crack three crabs, but the flavors were great. I wish it had more of the orange eggs stuff but I guess we couldn't choose which type of crab they were and I had no orange eggs in the crab. But the flavors were good. I enjoyed the experience. It was pretty chill and just nice to be outside cracking teeth and sipping drinks.

For some reason, we had nostalgic memories of this place, but it turns out that we pretty much had the same exact three-star experience. We just really wanted to bring our daughter back here since this spot in America plays a significant role in family lore. Unbelievably, it was raining again, but we waited for a table right by two windows, so water vibes were good. We got a couple local beers and while our server was nice, she also had a bit of an unceremonious manner that took us off guard. Not her fault, but we were total idiots and ordered the medium crabs. Why? WHY?! They are impossible to pick! And we even mentioned in our previous review the merits of ordering the jumbo ones to make life easy. Amateur hour!! We did order a few other crab-themed dishes, which made the meal more pleasant. The imperial crab was only OK, but the crab cakes were really something special. We got one fried and one broiled, and we would definitely recommend the latter. There was so much fresh crab and neither of them were greasy. As far as sides, the veggies were drowning in butter, and the corn on the cob tasted like it was cooked in a microwave. Fries were decent and the hush puppies weren't bad, but you know those came right out of a Sysco freezer bag. We got those nutter butter ice cream cone things again and they were terrible. The shell is hard as a rock and so is the flavorless vanilla ice cream underneath while the cone is rubbery soft. Quite the feat. Despite the ups and downs of the cuisine here, we had a really pleasant time as a family, and this place will always hold a soft (shell crab) spot in our hearts. While it's doubtful that we'll be back again, we're glad that we gave it a second go. Just remember: never order medium crabs!

I've visited twice recently and I really enjoyed the scenic views and extensive menu. Both times I have sat outside which was in the shade and comfortable, even on the hottest days of the season. Watching the boat traffic come in go - everything from kayakers to yachters makes for an entertaining meal. Speaking of meals, I've now tried a handful or so items on the menu. Favorites so far are the Flounder Sandwich and potato skins topped with crab dip. The burger was good too. The halibut tacos and crab bruschetta are a pass for me. Service has been great at the Dock House. The servers have to walk fairly far from the kitchen to the dockside tables and they maintain great service. Kudos to them. Speaking of dock, there is space to dock boats parallel to the bulkhead. Several small to mid-size boats were there both times I visited. I looked to see if there was a sign about the depth or rules for docking there and I didn't see anything. What I have observed is there isn't a dock hand and it's not protected so it can get a little bit of chop. A few boaters were just hanging out on their boat listening to the live music so they didn't seem to mind getting jostled when larger traffic comes through the channel. For those with land yachts or a car, there is plenty of parking and it's easy to get here right off of US-50, assuming there isn't "beach traffic." Dock House is located on the back side of the Boatel that is visible from US-50. Dock House is absolutely one of my new favorite restaurants in the Annapolis area. I am looking forward to many return trips to Kent Island to continue working my way through the menu.

We remembered watching YouTube videos of the best crab cakes in MD and The Narrows Restaurant was mentioned, so we decided to stop in for a very late lunch / very early dinner. Although we didn't have reservations, they sat us at one of the only tables for 2. It was located right on the water. Obviously, we both ordered the crab cake entree (from the lunch menu) which came with 1 side. I got the mashed potatoes and my wife got the coleslaw. Side note - crab cakes here are 5 ounces. For dessert, we ordered the hot fudge sundae that included Captain Crunch cereal pieces. "Linner" was good overall. For us, sitting out in the sun was definitely not ideal, but again we didn't have reservations and there are no tables for 2 inside the restaurant. Getting in and out of the parking area was really challenging as traffic was heavy.

There's something about the water, the breeze, and the quiet charm of this area that settles your spirit in the best way. A good friend of mine lives on Kent Island, and honestly, the best way to visit Bridges is by boat. Pulling up to a restaurant by water just hits differently. But don't worry you can absolutely drive here too, and the experience is just as lovely. Restaurants by the water are always a plus, but Bridges brings more than a view. It brings that easy, coastal energy that makes you want to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and enjoy where you are. The kind of place where good food, good company, and good scenery all meet at the same table. Bridges Restaurant brings exactly what you hope for when you escape the city for a moment of calm; beauty, peace, and a reminder that life feels better by the water. Service is always great! I literally said this past weekend that this has to become a monthly occurrence! It's too good and too beautiful to just come once a year! Let's get into it! Stuffed Pepper - Amazing!! Thanks to the waitress for hyping these up. Seafood Tacos - Delicious! I would definitely get these again and would try the Mahi Mahi kind or whatever fish they have! So freaking good! Brought Hawaii Maui vibes back. Ancho Rockfish - Fish was excellent, grits were not a fave. Watermelon refresher - YES! These are dangerously good! I'll be back! And soon! Cheers! The hostess and waitress were so kind, friendly, and accommodating! They brought out a water bowl for our dog. We ordered the whole oysters flash fried (special of the day), the shrimp and grits, and the shrimp salad sandwich with island fries (upgraded for 3.50). The oysters were fantastic. Freshly fried and super juicy. We loved them. Our sandwich and shrimp&grits took a while to get to us, but worth the wait. The shrimp in the grits were massive. My husband couldn't finish it all. The shrimp salad was stellar. And the brioche bun went so well. I will say the island fries had a spice we didn't love. The queso dip it came with was good. Didn't love the chili aioli it came with. It was weirdly sweet. I'd probably stick to the regular fries next time. Service is a little slower than were use to, but it definitely fit the vibe of the area. Just low key and relaxing. We would definitely come back!
