Later that day, a tech came out, I told him I only want to use Rockwool; he proceeded with inspecting, measuring and taking pictures of my attic and, I also asked him to give me an estimate on adding insulation to my crawlspace. An hour later, he says his estimate is done and tells me they DON'T use Rockwool!! This lousy SOB just wasted my time. I don't trust companies that lie every step of the way to their customers. Other providers that we called didn't even pick up the phone or said they would return our call and ghosted us. Simon, the owner, came out to do the estimate for us. He was on time and texted us beforehand. He is very knowledgeable about insulation and was able to explain things in a way that made it easy to understand! He walked us through a few different options at different price points and didn't put any pressure on us. The best part is, we were able to schedule the project for the same week! The day of the project, Simon texted us again to let us know they were on their way. This time, he even included a picture of the truck so we knew what to expect. I needed a quote for new insulation in 4 different areas of my new home. It was originally a double wide trailer that has been remodeled, renovated and has been updated in 2005. The original floors were updated and 2 x 6 joists were installed. Mr Hendrix told me they do not work on mobile homes since the distance between said joists is too wide. They are 16" (on center). This is normal width of batting insulation. I also need a newly added addition (30 x 30 garage with 12' ceilings and an upper space with views for a mother in law suite. He talked over me and refused to believe I knew what I was talking about. I am a female. His tone was condescending and rude. I finally told him I would not work with him anyway. The LARGE 4 part job will be given to another firm who actually believed me.
