This was a great caterer for a work convention held at the plaza it's in. They did really well serving endless long lines and still allowing everyone to sample flavors (bravo!). Jeni's had been one of my favorite ice cream places since I had a friend introduce me to it in Charlotte. Not only was I excited for it to come to Greenville, it's arguably the best ice cream in downtown Greenville. The ice cream itself is undeniably the best quality of ice cream in town. The quality of the smooth and buttermilk ice cream is really unique compared to what else Greenville has to offer. Though one of the fun parts about Jeni's are the hours. It's open until midnight! Add that camperdown plaza has several places to go to, it an easy spot to visit during the day or wind down at night. Everything listed above are the reasons why I come here often. The diverse/seasonal ice cream flavors and sizing options are worth looking at, but don't you just love a good vibe treating yourself going out? This was my first time at the Jeni's in Camperdown Way, and it did not disappoint. The staff was so sweet and considerate when offering samples of ice cream to not only myself, but the guest ahead of me as well. They walked me through what would be the best thing for my buck and I selected the signature half scoops of Snow-cone, purple star born, and lemon blueberry ice cream and a waffle cone. Headed outside in the plaza for outdoor seating and loved the ample seating available within the plaza. The landscaping was perfect for my ice cream so I had to take a pic! It's a little pricey but it's downtown Greenville so I guess that's to be expected. Having this place in front of my hotel was absolutely dangerous! I'm a huge Jeni's fan and came by twice during my trip to get ice cream. I was greeted with smiles and tried some of their spring flavors, but went with the brown butter almond brittle and ooey gooey butter cake which are my all time favorites. I love Jeni's! Sometimes you have to wait in line for your ice cream, but it's worth it. The ice cream is top tier and they offer a lot of great flavors, including dairy-free options. They recently stopped serving scoops of my favorite dairy-free flavor: cold brew coffee with coconut cream :(. I also really enjoy Texas Sheet Cake and Lemon Bar. I had a severe dairy allergy, and they are very careful about cross-contamination. You can ask for an "allergy scoop" and they will get the ice cream from the back with a new scoop. It's great for me to have a spot where I can get ice cream with my friends and not have to worry about whether or not it's safe. Such a cute experience and absolutely worth the wait. I've sampled the goods before but this time was able to try more flavors. So cute for a post date night stroll or a late night sweet treat. As the heat rises I believe this is something perfect and for everyone. I was shocked by the decadence of the Texas sheet cake flavor since it was DF (dairy free) but it ended up being my favorite!!! I've always loved Jeni's and I'm so excited that Greenville finally has its own store! Its in a nice area and the store is clean and well-lit. Staff is super friendly and accommodating, plus they offer samples! They always have adventurous, fun flavors so come get out of your comfort zone (or don't)! I chose to get a trio in a waffle bowl, which is three small scoops of three different flavors. I got the gooey butter cake, salted peanut butter, and the dairy-free Texas sheet cake. Gooey butter cake will always be a delicious classic, butterscotch swirls and large cake pieces never go wrong. The salted peanut butter was full of peanut butter flavor with saltiness to cut through the sweetness. The Texas sheet cake was chocolatey with a coconut flavor since there is no dairy! All delicious and even tastier on a fresh waffle bowl made in house. In the end, it was too much ice cream for me to finish but still super enjoyable, especially in this summer heat. So I have been dying to try Jeni's ice cream FOR LIKE EVER, but I've never lived in a city that had their storefront so I was super excited to try Jeni's ice cream when I was near this specific Greenville location. Honestly, I do not remember, which flavors of ice cream I got and unfortunately, I was so excited to try it that I didn't get a picture of it, but I know that I tried their fall flavors which I believe are usually there for a limited amount of time, they were really good and they are ice cream servers and employees that served behind the counter were helpful and they were very very patient enough to allow you to taste flavors as well, which I appreciate it because despite the store being pretty busy and in line wrapping almost outside the restaurant, they still wanted to make sure that they weren't just scooping ice cream and letting you go and trying to get all the customers in but making sure you got a flavor that you knew you were gonna enjoy. This was my first time at a Jeni's store front. I have been enjoying their ice cream for years, especially ordering limited flavors right to my home. We were able to miss the line but while we were there a long line formed. They were well staffed and prepared but I will say I am glad we got there before the rush! I ate both scoops before I walked a block away from the store. The Brumbleberry was my favorite but the Brown Butter Almond Brittle was great too. The addition of the crispy waffle cone piece was so yummy. I should have used it as a scoop! There isn't much to the store itself but it's very clean and there is plenty of space outside with a patio as well. We visited on a very hot afternoon when the AC wasn't working and the store was temporarily closed. But, when the employees noticed us outside, they opened up before the AC repair had really kicked in anyway.
